  1. You mean the sets that greatly contributed to keeping Lego going when most other sets they made were junk?
  2. Egypt, because right when the sets came out I was studying ancient Egypt in school, so it was a perfect match!
  3. There miiiight be enough room. Crank on the back of main body, universal joints at hinge point of wings, leading up to worm gear for folding the wing tips in and out. And if it could be synced up with the wings folding open at the same time, I'll be really impressed!
  4. I'm sure some sets from the early/mid 2000s (when Lego thought it would be a good idea to make big, single use pieces to replace assemblies of pieces) fit the bill.
  5. I'm very curious about the second module that fits in the copter. Like how it swaps in and out, or what it is meant to be!
  6. I can only speak to my location, but the Infiltrator was out at the same time as all other 2H Star Wars sets, which was well before force Friday.
  7. "Hard to Find " is just because most stores don't carry it (but all Lego stores do sell it).
  8. Usually the VIP points arrive once the items are shipped. Roughly. And yeah, probably it is in warehouse but people went home for the weekend. Don't worry. If nothing changes for a week, give them a call.
  9. Great work! It reminds me of set 5976, but turned up to eleven.
  10. If there is space within the cars, you could swap out the pins used in the wheels, and use a long technic axle connecting both wheels together. That would roll better (in a straight line, at least).
  11. My years at university studying geology and earth science means I love all those sets far more than I really should. They will all be mine!
  12. More of the heli would always be appreciated!
  13. I'm the same as many others, first year or two I bought a LOT of Lego, both new and old. But, depending on what themes you like, you eventually notice many similar sets come out over time, your tastes might narrow a bit, etc. Now I buy far less than I did then. But I have no set budget. I just use Brickset to make a list of what I want, and use that as a guide.
  14. The resemblance is really just that it is red and black, but my nostalgia makes that matter! http://brickset.com/sets?query=Slizer Have a glance through those... the precursors to Bionicle, in a way.
  15. Good spotting. Would this be a retailer exclusive set?
  16. Hey I can be positive! I can't wait to get Storm Beast, and maybe Lava Beast (his colours remind me of Torch from Throwbots). But I still need to get Umurak the Hunter and Kopaka w/ Melum. I wish I had the time and money to get all the Bionicle sets, but so many other Lego themes call to me just as strongly. It's not easy being me.
  17. Making a few high price, quick succession orders does seem kind of suspect though. I assume you were doing it to get multiples of the promo?
  18. You're probably right. I never did any direct comparison. I agree on how great those City wheels are for sports cars, but I can't deny the Speed Champions wheel 'hub caps' provide a badly needed wheel variety to my vehicles.
  19. Probably comes with this loader, too.
  20. Really? I never had any issue with rolling resistance on any of mine. But I agree on reliance on stickers. All mine were built sticker less, and then lightly modified to add things like headlights. Gives me City folks a few more exotic cars to drive, at least.
  21. So long as we don't see a 'Slave Han' in the next movie...
  22. Yup, definitely a gamble. I've bought used sets on both Bricklink and Ebay, listed as perfect condition, all pieces there. But due to their age, some pieces had cracked, or even became too tight to use. You just need to account for it when buying.
  23. I had one from 2001 to 2014... very nearly came out at 2012 though. So tempted by some sets as I wandered brought the mall. Really wish I didn't have one at all, missed so many great sets!
  24. Yup, Canada was definitely Throwbots.
  25. Oh the nostalgia. I had all of them except Blaster. And despite also reading the Lego magazine, I cannot recall a single story element behind them. Interesting to read what little there is today.
