  1. Very nice detail but the battery in the engine compartment is on the wrong side of the engine
  2. Interesting vehicle, totally unknown to me so I can't comment on the accuracy
  3. This switch on the battery box has been a problem on many sets that include PF, but adding a separate switch would drive up the price of the sets and make them less interesting.
  4. The unrealistic look makes it robot like
  5. It looks like one of those RC cars that could flip over an still keep driving.
  6. I picked up two 9748 Droid developer kit sets, one is still sealed in bags, but now I have to sell one since I can't justify having two same sets to the wife
  7. Although the idea is cool I don't like destroying things especially LEGO.
  8. I agree with everything, nobody was born smart
  9. I would like to add that the pictures are very high quality and the bricks are very clean especially for a set of this age.
  10. The cabin should be slightly bigger, if you look at the picture of the real thing, you can se that the cabin is aproximately the same height as the tyres of the loader.
  11. Gearing up and then down is a good idea if you have the space for that.
  12. I had a trailer like that, but with winter coming here in europe my thoughts are far away from this kind of theme
  13. Finally a chain driven driveshaft :)
  14. A lot of PF on such a small model, good job. But you should really reinforce the joint, lego usually uses two connection points on their articulated vehicles - upper and lower 1 stud apart like on 8465.
  15. You know what the problem is with belts, they pull on the axle and increase friction where the axle goes through the hole, so they tend to wear off axles faster, but that is not very noticeable.
  16. Yes just leave it, when you put the winch on the front and the crane on the back the axle won't spin anymore because it takes more torque to move these devices.
  17. Things like this never run out, there are always new techniques and ideas to put to use, so maybe you will get enough material for a second book in a few years.
  18. Great car I love the chain incorporated in the motor, gives it a more realistic feel.
  19. I love these older sets with the motor driving a rubber belt, I wish newer sets would have something like this or at least a chain drive.
  20. The bucket looks a little on the heavy side, why don't you just use the lego one.
  21. I can't believe this thing doesn't have more supporters on Cuusoo
  22. Nice LA steering, simple but effective
