  1. is wondering why he is forced to talk in third-person.

  2. Yes, they're sold out on Shop@Home. I supposed Lego only made a few production runs based on the apparent 'success' of the DC wave. Sad, because the Marvel wave was so much better. Yes, I got another copy of Rocka today so as to fix that. The way I fixed him up was by replacing his shield with a gold 5-length shell and mirroring it. Now I can't stop seeing Rocka as some sort of prince....
  3. Oh, how I wish it were only ten bucks.... And, by the way, thanks for another great review! I'm definitely going to switch to the socket of the foot for a better attachment point. EDIT: Darnit, Ninja'd be Aanchir. But, yes, it was that way in the Voltix review too.
  4. Thanks for this review Gatanui. I adore Voltix now. They just nailed the electricity motif so well, and that 'booster switch' only seals the deal. And yes, only the two-holed bones work with the armor arrangement they have. I tried a one-holed and the foot would often collide with the bottom of the configuration.
  5. Yes, but I find it... a bit odd. I could see this in a 'split' year like last year (with the waves having separate themes). However, the winter and summer waves are connected thematically this year and are meant to form one cohesive group of simultaneous missions. Probably just a Lego-Business oddity though. And savings for us.
  6. On Shop@Home (in the US at least) they've put all the Hero Factory sets on sale- including the first-wave Breakout sets. Any inherent reason as to why they're clearing out this relatively new stock?
  7. That's intentional.
  8. I love the game duo and I would have loved the sets, especially how accurately you've represented the look and feel and the presentation you gave. Sad that it wasn't allowed though. Perhaps they considered it an unobtainable license, on Valve's part?
  9. Hero Creator has been updated. That explains why it's taken so long! They had to recode the entire thing in Unity.
  10. For much of the past week I've been playing Portal 2 with most of my free time because of the PTi. It's just so wonderful. As of now, I haven't actually made any chambers. I'm planning to make a few though, once I get a hang of the editor. Be on the lookout for me!
  11. Ooh, I've been wondering- is there anyone on here who follows Jeb's 'snapshot' pre-releases? If so, what's your opinion on the recent SSP/SMP merge? For me it's nuetral- while I can see it has numerous benefits, running a server whenever I play will melt my laptop.
  12. I finally received my Captain America and Iron Man from Target today. Not pleased at all with Iron Man- mainly his shoulders. A gold 5-length armor (the same used for hips) with a red Shoulder Bubble would have been much better than the super-bulky and odd-looking idea of using more chest plates. The Captain is perfect, though.
  13. I was wondering when they'd be available in the US. Good news anyway; and that commercial is surprisingly good. I see they used meteors as 'villians' like with the Green Lantern. From now on every hero without a villain will have to fight meteors!
  14. Remember, there's no such thing as an unuseful Lego piece! And even if they aren't your style there's always people who'd want them. These Grab Bags sound almost mythical to me, having only visited a Brand Store twice. Their allure seems quite similar to that of the CMs- while they aren't blind-packaged, they do provide a surprise in every bag. I'm also wondering- are they always packaged in the pictured Club bags?
  15. I believe it was a move to help simplify the building process for the target audience.
  16. I almost wish they had made Iron Man's head so that you could flip it up, akin to the minifigure's headpiece. Than again, it might have been as creepy as the knights Kingdom II heads....
  17. After not seeing Savage Planet, Rocka's voice really hit me. I had always imagined it along the lines of Patrick Warburton's deep voice- not the squeaky Brooklyn accent he ended up having. Speeda Demon's also reminded me of an old woman for some odd reason. But, the actual animation is as good as I had imagined it would be. And I'd be interested in seeing that Furno Stormer Bike you mentioned, Shakar.
  18. This beauty. It's official, I'm in love with this year's Hero Factory sets. Just Jawblade and Splitface and I'm done with this wave! I also grabbed the S6 Flamingo Dancer and SpaceGirl.
  19. Wow, what a nice moc! I definitely commend your integration of System parts for detailing! Those claws are certainly nice and feel fitting to the style, and that head is quite wonderfully sculpted in the form of a wolf.
  20. Oh yes. Multiple times, all about finding the 'perfect' piece.
  21. They can be used in similar applications as a Linear Actuator- to convert energy into linear movement. In their case they turn air pressure into the aforementioned movement. They're good if you need brute force, but can't handle loads or stop with precision like LAs can. It is more realistic and is used more often than LAs in real applications. Off-topic: DANG, you are VERY, VERY lucky to have found those and electrical components in a Grab Bag!
  22. A bit, but for me it's mostly been those sexy redstone lamps. Oh, and who heard the news? Minecraft hit 5 mil. sales. Congrats to Mojang!
  23. Bricklink is best.
  24. I thought I was going to see a Team Fortress 2-themed MOC. Although, this is a nice little vignette you have. The expression on the female is perfect! Now, is that a Brickforge knife? I want a bunch of 'em.
