  1. LEGO has done a great job with making LOTR approachable for younger kids through these bios. They also don't make anything too scary or hard to understand, and give only the most important details about the characters. I'm excited to see what the final site will look like! EDIT: This has nothing to do with the bios, but, by examining the toy fair pics, I have counted the Helm's Deep set to be 64 studs long from the end of the Deeping Wall to the other end of the castle. And, if you add two of the Uruk-hai Army sets to the Deeping Wall, the whole thing will span two grey A base plates , with the Deeping Wall taking up a full 48 studs, and the rest covering another 48 studs. Just thought this might be useful for people who are wondering about the size of it.
  2. I could see a Helm's Deep/Uruk-hai Army super pack, but beyond that I don't think the sets would make sense together. They only ever do super packs if the sets involved are all similar.
  3. Here they are: Helm's Deep - $129.99 Mines of Moria - $79.99 Attack on Weathertop - $59.99 The Orc Forge - $39.99 Uruk-hai Army - $29.99 Shelob Attacks - $19.99 Gandalf Arrives - $12.99
  4. I realize that I was the last person to post in this topic, but no one has posted here for the last couple of hours, and I have some things to bring up. I have been sitting and drooling over the pics for a while now, and the more I look, the more I notice things or wonder about things in the sets. So, here are the things I've seen: First off, pretty much every fig who could have it has double-sided head printing. Even the Moria goblins. Secondly, after seeing that the neck guard on the back of Eomer's helmet was brown rather than grey like the rest of his helmet, I wondered if the basic Rohirrim rider might have that too, rather than a solid grey helmet. Also, as many others should have seen, on the inside of Helm's Deep there is a rack with two swords on it. I think those are two extra swords, so in total there are four Highlander swords in Helm's Deep. And speaking of Helm's Deep, I noticed that Aragorn has the Evenstar printed on his chest, so that is cool! So ya, that is pretty much what I have noticed in these sets, which are possibly the best LEGO has ever produced EVER!
  5. That is awesome! I was curious to see how they had the Deeping Wall connected to the keep. Great work LEGO!!!
  6. I have determined that, with tax, all of these sets would cost $470 CAD. Not as bad as I expected, but since I'm planning on buy two of the Orc Forge and the Uruk-hai army sets, it will bump it up to $650.
  7. Thanks, now I remember doing that last year!
  8. Thanks for the link, but is there a place where I can get these pics and save to my computer? Flickr doesn't allow me to do so.
  9. Hey, I just noticed something funny about Shelob. Why does she have wheels on her stomach? Are they here so kids can wheel her around on the floor? They just look out of place.
  10. That means buying it at a LEGO store or online. The more I look at these sets and figs, the more I am just blown away! I just realized that Sting is in two sets, even though Frodo didn't have it on Weathertop. Also, why does Theoden have a dark tan beard? he should have tan, or white. Either way, he still is the best fig of them all (in my opinion).
  11. I just noticed that the Nazgul have two capes each... I wonder why LEGO did that?
  12. I don't think that that the helmet will have any printing on it, because if it did, it would be on the Uruk wearing the helmet in the pic of the figs standing in a row. As for the drawer with the newborn Lurtz, I can't spot that on the box.
  13. I noticed somewhere that there was a Hobbit board game box in one of the pics.
  14. The link isn't working.
  15. Actually, is there a price list for the US or Canada? If there is, could someone post it?
  16. Okay, now that I've had my little freak out of excitement, I will give my thoughts on these sets. First off, EVERY SET is amazing!  Now that I have said that, here are my thoughts on the figs! The Felloship looks pretty much exactly like what we have seen already. Aragorn looks a heck of a lot better in minifig form. Also, all the different Frodo's (happy Frodo in the cart set, and then the double sided face for scared and a bit less scared ). The other Fellowship members look perfect! Theoden! Finally, good pics of him! He is amazing! I can't quite tell, but I think his armour is brown with gold print, much like Gimli's helmet. As for the other Rohirrim, the soldier looks good, and I'm glad the helmet is different from Theoden's. Also, Eomer's is gold and grey, which is perfect! Then we have the baddies. These guys are just epic! The Uruk soldiers all decked out with helmets and armour are just so cool! The berserker is... he could have used a real helmet rather than a printed one. The basic orc workers look good. I'm happy the aren't all the same, but it really is just a matter of hair. The newborn Lurtz (or baby Lurtz as I called him as a kid) looks spot on, and it is cool they included him! The goblins (or Moria orcs) look great, but it is kinda weird that they have Uruk shields, so I'll probably give those to some of the Uruks who don't have them. The Nazgul are pretty much what I was expecting, but their horses are just great! The red eyes and the little grey mask thing printed on is just perfect! And then there is the cave troll... This guy is amazing! The size is perfect, and its cool that Legolas can go on his back and shoot arrows into his head. But the printing Amazing detail! Overall, this theme is better than any licensed theme that LEGO has ever produced before (yes, possibly better than Star Wars), and I will for sure be getting every single set, and some multiples too. Thank you LEGO!
  17. There are no words in the tongues of Men, Elves or Orcs that can explain my excitement and love for this theme. Perfect! Just perfect!
  18. Could anyone try to find a pic of the Sith trooper that those figs are based on. I can't find it anywhere, but I really want to see the reference material before I judge the figs too much.
  19. Sorry, I didn't mean for the double post.
  20. I must say, those Sith troopers are ugly! Those helmets just look bad! Maybe it's the source material, but still! I will definitely not be getting that set! And, I really hope that the final sets will be there. I remember back when the Endor set came out in 2009 that the rebels didn't have the new helmets, and the taun taun wasn't finalized either. Hopefully it won't be the same this year.

  22. I don't think there is much they could have put on the armor. In the movie, it is very much plain. As for the pic, it was a prelim of the Orc Forge. I am actually quite excited for this set, and I think I will buy two, and build one correctly and the other mirroring the first, so I can put them back to back to create one big building/forge. Also, I think there will be at least one or two Uruks in that set, and then the three plain orcs.
  23. He probably recognized him, but he just tried to capture the Chancellor, so do you think Anakin would care?
  24. I found it strange that we got the prelims for these sets so late. The NY toy fair is tomorrow, so we will be seeing close-up, in-depth views of all the sets. Also, the helmets the Sith troopers are wearing in he prelims have been around for quite a while, since 2003, I believe. They will (hopefully) be replaced with a complete face covering helmet, and new torsos as well. And, my last comment on the prelims: Pre Viszla's ship looks pretty spot on. They have done a very good job o capturing he abnormal shape and placement of the cockpit, along with getting the right details. As for the fig selection, ANOTHER CW Obi-Wan! Hopefully he will have a different torso and the new Kenobi hair from the Mustafar set.
  25. That is what makes me think this isn't an exclusive. Yes, I realize that it wasn't leaked until much later after th other sets, but it doesn't seem like an exclusive, for two reasons: A) it has no special or unique (non-generic) figs, and B) a theme that is just starting would not have an exclusive right away.
