No, no, CallMePieOrDie just accidentally jumbled the names Gandalf Arrives and Sehlob Attacks together.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

I was just looking for info for next weeks episode, Revenge, and I found an interesting and exciting bit of info on Wookieepedia under the episode's official summary: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Revenge_(episode) Apparently, Obi-Wan and Ventress will team up to fight Savage and Maul! This makes me so happy! -
I suppose so. Also, I didn't realize we were getting a Gandalf Attacks set.

Okay, I've been pondering the cape situation for a while. Gandalf is the first fig to ever get a dark grey cape (in 2009, Lando Calrissian got a light grey cape), and the new short grey capes are only in the Shelob set. I have Lando's cape, which works for Legolas, but Aragorn and Gimli don't get capes. They should each have a grey cape to represent their elven cloaks. Back in 2008 I bout a Indiana Jones set and in the set was CW Anakin Skywalker's head instead of Indy's. I called LEGO, and received a replacement piece, and I got to keep the incorrect piece. So, to get to my point, would it be bad if I bought one Gandalf set and one Shelob set and called asking for replacements capes, even though it wouldn't be needed, so I could get extra capes? I know this makes me sound like a bad person, but it isn't worth buying two of each set just for some capes, and Bricklink seems silly for capes as well. I realize this is a matter of ethics, but what would others here do?

I would be surprised if hey had Maul become a recurring character. So far, the only character from the films (other than all the main characters) who has returned often is Boba. Also, Maul seems like too big a deal to have hanging around for a long time. During the episode, we saw little bits of a bunch of characters who could sense Oppress's and Maul's return, which makes me think that everyone will be drawn to Maul and there will be a big battle, and I could see (possibly, if she is there) Ahsoka being killed. -
I noticed that the alternate angle pic of the Quinjet was posted, but I found this website with some more pics, and a close up of Loki. Thought it would be welcome here! http://www.blogomatic3000.com/2012/03/07/an-even-closer-look-at-the-lego-avengers/ I must say, I need that Iron Man and Hawkeye!

Usually the products at the toy fairs a somewhat final. From the looks of the rest of the Helm's Deep set (and all the LOTR sets other than Orc Forge) it is the final version. The reason you can tell is because none of the new moulds or prints are stickers or grainy, unlike the ones shown for the Orc Forge. So, I think, over than Sting and the Uruk swords, this wave has no new weapons. But honestly, I like these weapons, because they are generic enough yet have enough detail to be used for numerous characters. I actually don't expect to see tons of new weapons from this theme. Probably we'll see some special Elven blades, orc swords, and probably Anduril and Orcrist. Most of the new moulds coming out of this theme with be special parts for chars terse, such as helmets and beards.

No, no one is gonna be burned here! I actually agree with you on the whole "Scouring of the Shire". I, like some here, saw the movies way before I read the books. Sure, that has affected my opinion of the books, but I still love both versions of the story (Tolkien's and Jackson's). I've grown up with the films, so that is what I know best. I love the scouring of the Shire, but I do feel that it was extremely anti-climactic, and (I can't believe I'm gonna say it) I am somewhat mad atTolkien for including it. I much rather Saruman being killed at Isengard at the begining of ROTK (end of the first part of Two Towers book) because it puts some closure to that whole story line. After that, the heroes just have Sauron to deal with. In the book, Saruman is just left wandering until he ends up being a threat at the end of all things. Even though I love the books, and without them the films would not exist, I still love the movies, and with them we get this amazing new LEGO theme!

Yes he does: I think the face suits Sam well. It captures a mixture of anger and fear all encapsulated within a shell of bravery. It can effectively be used in any scene where Sam has to fight or is faced with some kind of danger. Yet, I do wish they make a less determined expression for Sam in the coming sets. Maybe a set based in the Shire or Rivendell could have a more calm and happy Sam, like the Frodo in Gandalf Arrives.

Yes, these are good, but the Wolfpack is more of a rabble of outlaws than a fighting force. Remove the chain mail at the necks of the torsos and replace it with skin or another shirt and you should have it!

I wonder, after the most recent episode, is Ventress going to appear during the return of Maul. She is connected to Oppress, so he may come after her. I think it would be interesting if Maul and Ventress met. I know that their meeting would really not change the story that much, but it would be cool to see Ventress's reaction. I hope she is there. I could see her somehow inadvertently saving Obi-Wan's life, which would be cool, because they have always had this sort of connection and banter when they fight, which is great. -
I think it will. The box art shows white string, so I think that TLG'S just didn't have the white string ready for the toy fair, therefore the black one was used instead. Also, black string would make absolutely no sense to represent spider web. Then again, this is a function I am very seldom going to use, so it doesn't matter a huge amount to me. I just love the Shelob set because of Gollum and the fact that Shelob has been LEGO-fied so well. Oh, and Sam.

Well, yes, but there are very few moments where Uruks are not wearing helmets or have long hair, and the only bald Uruks are the Berserkers. Even so, I have a strong feeling that they won't have double-sided heads, but we may be pleasantly surprised come June. Sorry for the double post, but I need to comment on this. To me, this sounds like a confirmation without it really being a "confirmation". There have been times where I will come up with ideas for sets and send them to TLG to get their thoughts. They usually respond by saying that they appreciate the enthusiasm, but do not take ideas from outside the company. They never gave any sort of indication or hope that my ideas would become real. But this... this sounds like they are saying yes to BPs, but in time. If they do create BPs (and ones hopefully more like the Castle and Kindoms ones) then this theme may become one of LEGO's best ever.

I noticed a while ago that the Moria goblins and the Mordor orcs have double-sided heads, allowing for more variation within armies, and it made me wonder if the Uruks have double-sided heads also. I do like the face they have for the Uruks, but not every Uruk has the white hand on their face. Has there been any indication of double-sided heads? I would love to be able to have Uruks with unpainted faces and maybe a bit of a different look. I'm guessing that, from the pics we've seen, they have just the one face, but one can always hope...

Does anyone else find it funny that the teaser website for LEGO LOTR, with the little descriptions of the characters, is not accessible on LEGO.com? I just find it strange. Maybe it is just in my region, but I always have to search the site on Google if I want to check it.

Actually, I would think the Uruk-hai would be cheaper. Seeing as it is in three sets and in a large quantity, it would be easier to get them. I would think the Rohan soldiers would be way more expensive.
-
I'm guessing they are included to be the scattered old weapons left from the old battles in Moria. It's a neat idea, but I would have proffered some proper weapons.

Here is a link to the pic of the book that gave me the impression that it is a sticker: I see a bit of a space between the sticker and the book, a bit of a black area that makes it look like a sticker. Then again, I may be (and hopefully am) wrong.
-
I just noticed something that makes me dislike the Moria set just a little. The book of Marzarbul is not printed, but has a sticker. This is just what I think, but if it is true, it would really suck.

I believe the release date is June some time. I hope June 1st. The sooner the better!

This is absolutely stunning! Fantastic work! The top floor is really good, and the Carbon Freezing chamber is spot on! This should be submitted to CUUSSO. This needs to be a set!

I am SO happy Simon Pegg is in this! He is one of the funniest people, and I feel he fits well in the SW universe. I've always imaging Dehgar with a much more American accent, but Pegg's voice fits well with the character. Now I'm really excited for this episode! -
Those pics looks great! Halide looks fantastic, and the berserker looks good too. Its too bad that they messed up with the pic for Eomer, but the Rohan soldier looks good. We'll probably be seeing Theoden and Eomer up there soon, along with hopefully the Uruk-hai, orcs, goblins, Lurtz and the troll.
-
I like these ideas, but in the set similar to Uruk-hai Army, I think one more Uruk would be more fitting. Maybe a berserker. Then it would truly be a good guy version of Uruk Army, with four good guys (rather than bad guys) and two bad guys, with one bad guy a bit stronger that the other. I really like the last alliance idea!

Welcome to EB! This is a great custom! The colours are all spot on, and the detail on the arms and legs is perfect! Good job!
