  1. That is intense! I wish I had enough to buy that much! I don't even know if I'm gonna be able to buy any multiples! (but I still will) Edit: I just noticed I became a count eight posts ago!
  2. If you are looking for more of the dark pearl breastplates, I know that the recent Kingdoms blacksmith set had one. I bought two of those sets when they first came out, so I can outfit two Uruks with armor. Also, if you have any sort of decent Kingdoms Dragon knight army, you should have some crossbows and armor to arm your army.
  3. I know, and I was being cautious about the dwarves, but I found it difficult to think of a scene where Bilbo wouldn't be there. But, we don't know about he scenes based around the White Council, so that will help get rid of some extra Bilbo figs.
  4. I have been seeing a lot of good ideas for Hobbit sets on here, but I've been noticing one thing: most lists cover all of the story. People seem to be forgetting that The Hobbit is being released as two films, which means they LEGO will release two full waves for each film. That being said, I have some ideas for the first film (which ends with Mirkwood). Gollum's Cave Minifigs: Bilbo (haggard look), Gollum. Components: small rock cave entrance (similar to the one in Shelob set), Gollum's boat. Accessories: Sting, the One Ring, fish. Cost: $15.99 CAD Attack in the Woods Minifigs: Bilbo, Gamdalf, Nori Components: a couple of brick built trees, two Wargs and one white Warg. Accessories: Sting, Gandalf's staff, Glamdring, Nori's axe Cost: $24.99 CAD Bag End Minifigs: Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin, Bombur, Ori, Oin. Components: Bag End, with kitchen and dining room, and maybe a living room with a fire place. Accessories: lots of food, maybe some of the dwarves weapons, Gandalf's staff. Cost: $39.99 CAD Beorn's House (exclusive, like the Orc Forge) Minifigs: Beorn, Gandalf, Bilbo, Dwalin, Dori, some animals Components: Beorn's house Accessories: Sting, Gandalf's staff, Glamdring, some axes Cost: $49.99 CAD Tangle in Mirkwood Minifigs: Bilbo, Bifur, Fili, Tauriel, Bombur Components: two large brick built trees, lots of spider web, three large spiders Accessories: Sting, the Ring, Tauriel's weapons, some axes. Cost: $74.99 CAD The Trollshaw Minifigs: Bilbo, Thorin, Bofur, Nori, Bert, Will, Tom Components: fire pit, some logs for sitting, a bit of forest, and some roast mutton. Accessories: some axes, the talking bag Cost: $99.99 CAD Goblin Town Minifigs: Bilbo, Gandalf, Gloin, Kili, Balin, Thorin, the Great Goblin, three goblin soldiers. Components: a network of tunnels, and the Great Goblin's throne room. Accessories: Sting, Gandalf's staff, Glamdring, Orcrist, some axes, some goblin weapons. Cost: $169.99
  5. Actually, the Uruks that attack the Fellowship at Parth Galen in the first film did not wear breastplates. The majority of them had the Armour that is represented on the torso prints. So, having a few Uruks without breastplates would just mean you have a few scouts in your army. As for the hair, I know that it can work, but in just looks a bit funny, becaus ethe hair is kinda pushed up a bit and sits at an awkward position. Also, on a somewhat related note, if people are wondering what might be a good sword for the orcs in the Orc Forge set, the scimitars from the Pharoah's Quest theme would work beautifully, I think.
  6. I was just looking at the troll in the Moria set, and I started thinking about future Mordor trolls we may see. Most Mordor trolls wear big helmets and I wonder how LEGO may pull that off. The cave troll has two studs on his head, so do people think hat a helmet mold could be made to fit on the head and attach to the studs, or do people think a new mold will be made?
  7. I still think LEGO could do it. If they re-released that set but with more stuff, I feel they would do it wrong if Shmi wasn't here. She is pivotal to that scene. I mean, they did a wounded Luke in a diaper in the latest Hoth set. He looks pretty beaten up because of a monster. They could just do a dazed looking Shmi, or a scared one. They could design the fig so it could be used as either the AOTC version or a TPM version. In the end, though, I want an OT set with Tuskens, because that is where they are most famous from.
  8. I must say, these are fantastic! Amon Hen is my favorite, but the Moria set is also great. Are you planning to design six sets for each film? And should we soon be seeing Two Towers sets? I'm exciting to see more!
  9. I think Palpatine will have to be very careful here. When he learns that Maul is alive, I think he will become afraid, more than we've ever seen him before, but he will have to hide it. This may become one of the only times he actually wants the Jedi to win. "Massacre" was a really good episode. I thought they showed Grievous to be more powerful and a better leader than they have before. The fact he is a coward is just way he is, there is no avoiding it. But I liked how ruthless he was. Dooku's torture was pretty gruesome (for this show, at least), but it really showed how vulnerable he can be. But, the one thing that left me thinking 'Huh?' was the fact that Talzin just disappeared. Is she dead? Will she play a role later in the arc? Could she be the one to destroy Oppress? I'm excited to see how this all pans out!
  10. Thanks for the preview! I hope Dengar gets a bigger role, but even just the cameo is cool enough, and I like the voice they have for him. It looks like this arc will be really good. The one thing I was thinking about is Palpatine's reaction to Maul still being alive. I wonder if he has any inkling of the fact that he survived, or if this will be a big surprise to him a make him wonder if Maul was more powerful than he gave him credit for. Also, did Maul ever know about Palpatine's role in the Invasion of Naboo, and the fact that he was facilitating from both sides? If so, will he remember, or will he be to consumed by his hate and revenge towards the Jedi?
  11. I saw the 3D TPM a couple of nights ago, and I felt underwhelmed. The 3D was underused. I guess converting old movies to 3D doesn't always look good, but I felt that most of the time I could watch the movie fine with the glasses off. Also, I'm surprised no one pointed out the fact that now Yoda is CG, like in the Blu-Ray version. Overall, I was happy to see a SW film in theatres again.
  12. The stud on the top is ruining the fig. if they got rid of that and made the back smooth out it would look fine. This truly makes me sad.
  13. Does anyone know if the shirtless Maul will be widely available, or is it some sort of special thing? I really want one!
  14. I really think we are in need of updated Tuskens. We haven't seen them since 2002, and that wasn't even in an OT set. We need a Junland Wastes set, with Luke, Ben, two Tuskens, a bantha, maybe R2, and then some rocks. I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO used some sort of new piece to go around the Tuskens neck, just to show some rags around the neck, and maybe the weird silver breathing thing under their mouth on their mask. Also, they could use a skirt piece rather than normal legs, just to show the rag dress they wear. And, of course, and new gaffi stick piece.
  15. I have a feeling that this theme will definitely get some battle packs. There are so many different factions to makes sets for, so the army building is endless. Also, you saying that you separate your SW armies by type, like clones and droids, then why not LOTR. You could separate the bad guys into Goblins (Moria and The Hobbit), Mordor, and Isengard. Then, the good guys could be separated into Gondor, Rohan, Elves, Dwarves. I really do hope we get some sort of Elven battle pack based on Helm's Deep. Only having Haldir seems a bit lame. He needs some Elves to lead in battle.
  16. Wait, I'm confused... Have there been pics of the UCS R2? I thought nothing had been seen yet. Are there pics?
  17. I'm afraid he will most likely be molded. Although, he should be better than the Castle dragons, due to the advancements in molds and the evident amount of work being put into this theme. He will be pretty awesome, I think.
  18. Sorry for the double post, but I found a video about Darth Maul. Sam Witwer is voicing him. http://geek-news.mtv.com/2012/02/17/star-wars-clone-wars-reveal-darth-maul/
  19. I predict that the Nightsisters will be defeated, but Ventress will escape. Then, the next episode, "Bounty", will be about Ventress being hunted down by bounty hunters hired by Dooku. I have a feeling that Ventress's fate will be left open-ended, much like it is now, only Filoni will tackle it a different way.
  20. I'm sorry, but all this discussion on what we hope to see in the Hobbit wave is getting REALLY off topic. This is the sort of stuff to be discussed in the Future Sets topic.
  21. I haven't really posted here in a while (been busy in the LOTR topic) so I think it is time to give my thoughts on this wave. For the most part, the CW sets are underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, the Maleveolence looks good, but they have done a horrible job with Padme, and all of the other figs we've seen before. As for Tinn's Starfighter, Even Piell looks really good, and I always welcome new Jedi into my collection. The OR sets, again, don't impress me. Malgus is a beautiful fig, but the two Sith troops look awful. The other set is cool, but since I am unfamiliar with this time period in he SW universe, I might pass on these (maybe I'll get Malgus on eBay) Now, the two ROTJ sets and the Gungan Sub are awesome! I do have some gripes (Boba does have leg printing, but his pants and sleeves are still the wrong color) and I dislike the fact that now Qui-Gon is smiling. The Queen is possibly one of the best figs ever, and I love the fact that they got Luke right in the Skiff set. Jabba is great, and Crumb just looks so cute. Overall, this wave is weak when it come to TCW, but the OT and PT have been treated very nicely, and I will definitely be picking up those sets when they come out.
  22. "Massacre" refers to Dooku sending an all-out droid attack on Dathomir, headed by Grievous.
  23. I would much rather a big exclusive Rivendell, similar to the MMV or the Joust set. It could have the front of Elrond's house, and inside the could be some rooms, such as the bedroom where Frodo wakes up, the room with the shards of Narsil on the statue, and then maybe Elrond's study, where he and Gandalf discuss the fate of men. Then, the balcony where the council is held to be either a completely separate building, or could be attached to the house from many different points. And finally, there could be a small bridge and a tree, where Arwen gives Aragorn the Evenstar. Figs could be Elrond, Gandalf, Frodo, Arwen, Aragorn, Sam, Bilbo, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Merry and Pippin.
  24. LEGO doesn't call collectible minifigures "collectible minifigures". They are just Minifigures. The press release refers to the figs as "collectible" because you have to pretty much buy all of the sets to collect the Fellowship.
  25. It has been determined for a long time that "collectible minifigures" just means that the minifigs in the sets are collectible.
