Hello! Thats's really a great compilation of inspirations! The scene offer so many details. The sloped train stage is pretty cool and works excellent at curved rails. My favourite scary detail is the tentacle coming out of the drain. Using a gear as drain top is also very original. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! A fantastic microscale scenery! Those microfigures are excellent, using those capes was a perfect solution. Using the firemen ladder for the side columns of the temple is also a very clever concept! :classic! Well done! ~ Christopher

Return of the Creature
Legostein replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hello again! ... and that's exactly what we need here. I am sure many people enjoy the lovelyness of your images and sets, so I am glad to give you another motivation boost. These are great and we want more! Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! Thank you for all the nice feedback which is very appreciated. Of course there are more models to come, however we are approaching model No. 200 so it's getting more difficult to choose vessels which are known by the people. More expanded universe vessels I sense... Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! An excellent fleet assembly! Maybe I can suggest something for the Venator's wedge shape. You could improve two things with only one piece actually. The middle gap is a bit too deep, meaning it's going to close to the center. And the back wedges have an angle too sharp. If you would replace the back wedges with this piece (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=6106), you would have a better angle for the gap, and the center of the ship would 6 studs wide at the narrowest point of the gaps. Maybe you want to give it a try. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! The stream of toxic waste is displayed in a very moving way. You can almost see and hear the bubbles and get a headache from the toxic vapours. I wonder who of the fighting guys will end up in the evil green stream? Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It's fantastic that you made your own brick-built corner-wall sintead of using a ready-to-sue castle corner. Looks very authentic. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Return of the Creature
Legostein replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Hello! It's great to see you are again expanding your themes. The minimates creature fits well into the LEGO® scene. There are so many special painted heads these days, and so many special torsos (Hagrid, the Yeti etc.), so that the creature you used is not very different from a figure LEGO® would make. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Who is the best bounty hunter? (besides the Fetts)
Legostein replied to master windu 7495's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hello there! Although I seem to have missed the bricks relation, I'd like to make an addition. It's almost impossible to get a complete list of all bounty hunters. They're everywhere, and they're also mentioned everywhere, movies, books, comics etc. Let me give an example: Scene: Interior of Echo Station on Hoth. Leia: I thought you decided to stay. Han: Well, the bounty hunter we ran into on Ord Mantell changed my mind. This bounty hunter, mentioned by Han Solo in "The Empire Strikes Back" is named "Skorr". There's a story about this incident on Ord Mantell in one of the "Classic Star Wars" comic episodes. You are right, there are many popular ones besides the Fetts. Why not have some fun and build our favourite Star Wars bounty hunter for our own LEGO layout? Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello everbody! It's sunday again, and I found a little time for another contribution for the community. Today it's Darth Maul's infamous Sith Infiltrator as introduced in "The Phantom Menace". The general class behind this special vessel is the Republic Sienar Systems' Star Courier, a vessel with very limited production number. If you want to know how the Star Courier made its way to Coruscant and to Darth Maul, I recommend the novel "Labyrinth of Evil" by James Luceno. One thing I always loved for this ship was its green engine glowing during landing and take-off on Tatooine. The more happy I was to use trans green for the engines, a very rare colour for these. For the wings I used trapezoid flags, and the new 1x2x2/3 slopes worked decently here. Click here for building instructions. That's it for now. Thanks for stepping by and have a great sunday! Yours Christopher.

Hello! You've sculptured this very well with only bricks! My favourite detail are the knees indicated by the 1x1 tiles. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! A clever combination of normal and snot stud orientation for the mudguards ggiving you an excellent way to attach the side mirrors. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Well yes, that's exactly what I meant. Looks much better now and much more accurate. And it even gave you the possibility to add more details. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Thanks a lot for the comments! The vehicle is grey because I wanted to build the Imperial version. The Empire loves simple grey. Like The Venator which also lost its red stripes once the Old republic became the Empire. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! A quite original idea you had here. The lines are very smooth, and I guess the rough rock monster will face heavy problems climbing the slippery-looking rocks. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again! Thank you for your kind words. I also feel the wheels work well here. The idea came while I sorted all the leftover wheels I had from the many Racer sets I had bought earlier to get more "cheese" slopes. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It's fantastic to finally see the presented together after having seen them individually! I think all of them are great, as they're all unique designs. Not only the shape is different and very original for each of the ships, but also the techniques you used to realize them. All very well done! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! After having read the related novel, I agree. That's how it could look like on Raxus Prime. The amount of greebling to produce a random garbage pattern is very good. My favourite detail, however, is the poison pond with the trans-green tiles. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It's a very good little diorama, providing the right feeling of the movie. I like the snow techniques you used with the wedges and slopes, it always works well. The floating snowspeeder is a major point of interest in the diorama. Not only the stand is good due to be transparent, but the speeder itself is also very accurate. Cheers, ~ Christopher

LDD MOC: Another portable amusement ride!
Legostein replied to BrickWild's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hello! That looks very interesting. The brick-built version looks pretty nice. I am looking forward to see it in action, maybe on a small animation video. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello everybody! Today I'd like to share one of my latest creations with you. This time it's not a starship, but a wheeled ground vehicle instead. Many of you know it as "Clone Turbo Tank". It has been released officially by TLC already, as miniature and system-scaled playset. Although the vehicle appears in "Revenge of the Sith" which is where most of you may know it from, this particular vehicle already appeared 20 years ago in the "Imperial Sourcebook", a roleplaying supplement of West End Games. It was there first identified as "Juggernaut". The origin of the Juggernaut dates back even longer. About 30 years ago it was an early concept drawing intedned to be used during the Battle of Hoth in "The Empire Strikes Back". But until "Revenge of the Sith" it was an Expanded Universe vessel which has now made it to an official vehicle from the movies. It features all the gun emplacements including the rear outlook, as well as front and back cockpits. I wanted a clean and harmonic look as I found the offcial design somehow incomplete. It's slightly smaller and I went for black wheels like in many references. Probably the earlier Juggernaut A5 version came with black and the later A6 version with grey wheels. With that I am done for today. I thank you for your interest and wish you a great week! See you around, ~ Christopher

Is it worth it to get 6209 at a high prize today?
Legostein replied to parchioso's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hello! The real question is only if YOU consider the deal to be worth it. And it seems you already have decided. From my personal experience, a certain set can cause strong addiction to it. And then it's worth it. Try to reflect yourself. Imagine you're a year ahead now, and didn't buy that set. Would you be mad at yourself in one year, asking "why didn't I get that set when I had the chance"? If you think that could be you, then you know what you have to do. There is no answer to your question. And no one here can make this decision for you. It's only important that you are satisfied with the decision you make. Regardless if you bought the set or not. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! A fantastic creation! It's great to see a lesser known vehicle in system-scale. It seems to be the perfect use of the large cockpit piece in this shuttlebus. The repulsorlift engines are also nicely designed. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! You did a good job creating a half-round object using only bricks and plates. When you look at the references (for example wookiepedia or the clone wars episode) the ship has kind of an arrow pattern on the wing. I am sure you could easily include this to make it even more perfect. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! The use of the TECHNIC® bricks with rotation joint socket works very nice for the engines. And I am also a fan of the minifigure ski on the sides. Cheers, ~ Christopher
