  1. Hello! The P38 is instantly recognizable. You've done a great job here. Have you thought of doing also a real-world version of it? With only a few modification you could handle this. I am sure many people would like this one as well, as it's a popular and unique plane design. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  2. Hello! A very aerodynamic looking ship. You included many round bricks and tyres very well in the design. In my opinion, a trans-clear cockpit would look much better for this ship instead of the dark trans-black on on the already dark main body. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello! When I first saw this I thought the decoarates wings of the Jedi Starfighter were the cockpit. I still think this particular pattern and the way in which you assembled them here would make a perfect cockpit design, although the real cockpit is located in the rear of the ship. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! An interesting plane design. However, I am wondering where the rear wings are? Unless having delta-shaped wings, a plane of this kind should have rear wings for a stable flight. But we're in SciFi here, so I guess everything is allowed. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello! That's an extremely slim looking starfighter! It's great to see all those wedges contributing to this great design. The incorporation of the huge TECHNIC® piece at teh front of the ship is my favourite part. A very creative alternate use for this piece. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  6. Hello everbody! When I was playing around with set 6745 - Propellor Power (Lugnet set reference) I though of building more alternative models with these pieces besides the three models for which instructions are provided. Having more alternative models to choose from, makes a set more attractive in my eyes, plus I miss the alternative building pics on the backside of the boxes. (In case this topic fits more in the "Other Themes" forum, feel free to move it there. ) So, the outcome is a Naboo N1 Starfighter. It is not completely accurate, regarding shape and colour. And the engines are a bit thin, a side effect of a limited parts variety. Sorry for that. It was fun playing around with a limited piece collection and come out with something familiar from the Star Wars universe. The set is of moderate price (19.99 EUR / 17.99 GBP / 19.99 USD), and has many useful pieces. For building instructions, please click here. That's it so far. I hope this has been useful for some people and provided some Star Wars feeling. Thanks for your interest, and see you around. Yours Christopher.
  7. Hello, and thank you again for the feedback which is highly appreciated and encourages me to continue faster with the project. Maybe we'll reach model No. 200 soon. Have a great sunday, Christopher

    K-9 Walker

Hello! An interesting design, however I think the legs look a bit-cut-off. When four dogs pull in four different directions it could be difficult for the walker to hold its balance instead of falling over. I'd like to suggest adding some feet to the legs. For example by adding... - Pneumatic T-pieces into the legs, - then attach two 1x1 clip tiles to each of the six T-pieces, - and finally add a 1x1 tooth plate to each 1x1 clip. This would give the walker a more stabel stand and nice looking feet. You can for example take black clip tiles and red tooth plates which would match perfectly with your colour scheme. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello everbody! Today I'd like to show you something different from what I normally do. It's about alternative models using only pieces from one particular set. Of course the idea is old, but the more alternatives you have, the more fun with the set you can have. Additionally this might be interesting for those who only have a limited piece stock during the week while working at some different place. The set we're talking about now is Creator Set 6743 - Street Speeder (Lugnet set reference). It's a cheap set (9.99 EUR / 9.99 GBP / 12.99 USD) but comes with a good parts variety. So this leaves space for alternative models besides the three cars for which instructions are provided. You can build a plane for example... For instructions click here. The plane itself is a simeple but clean construction. The colour scheme is consistent without any disturbances to to lack of correctly-coloured pieces. However it was not as simple as it looks to arrange imagination with the limited pieces. The stand (windscreen) is also part of the set. I hope you liked this little study. I can highly recommend this set. There's a lot playability potential in it. Thanks for stepping by, and see your around! Yours Christopher.
  10. Hello! Very realistic looking scene. I especially like the telegraph poles. The use of old firemen torsos is also a well-chosen. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! I think that's one of the first steampunk meach hardsuits I have seen so far. A very original idea. It reminds me a bit to the hardsuits in Starship Troopers III, just in steampunk. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! The frets and machine heads are instantly recognizable! Besides the musical touch (and I also think the pilot looks like a guitar-playing rockstar), it's a nice space-ship as well. The rounded trans-blue cockpit window goes along well with the rockets. Maybe you could narrow the gap bewteen and add a sixth one to indicate the six guitar strings. Cheers, ~ Christopher

    A New Life

Hello! That's a really impressive diorama. With many inspiring ideas to discover. The scene has indeed a very realistic look because you seem to have thought of every detail! Despite the apocalyptic topic the scene provides a little hope nonetheless. A little peaceful world on its own. Now to mention my favourite detail: the brick-built mushrooms are great! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! Now you seem to have resized and re-uploaded your images. Unfortunately they're back in the BrickShelf moderating queue. Until being approved this may take a long time during the week-end. Only you can see your images then. And only if logged in. However you can post a so-called deep-link in your post. This means the following: - Log into your BrickShelf account. - Choose folder and image you want to show. - Click onto the image until you can't cklick any further on your image. - You now see your image as single portrait in the web browser without the BrickShelf interface. - Now copy the link in the adress bar of your browser. It should end with .jpg .gif or .png. - Paste this link in your thread here. Then we should be able to see your images again. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  15. Hello! It's a pleasure to see all those nice plants you build with various pieces. The one using the green minifigure stands caught my attraction in particular. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello! A well-built hangar diorama. You're showing some interesting railing techniques. Especially the one with the tap pieces is original. The stair construction down to the platform is also remarkable, and the drop ship is probably the best eye ctacher here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello, a great addition to the TIE fighter fleet. It's nice to see the rare TIE fighter cockpit window used here. But I guess it gets quite costly when you're having an entire fleet, because the windscreen is expensive. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello! A great motion snapshot. The minifigure heads are also well chosen to show a spontaneous facial expression. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello everybody, and thank you very much for the many nice comments! I am glad to provide some sources of inspiration. Thank you. If you're interested in the Landran, you can find the MINI Battlestar Galactica Thread. Hello again and thanks. Actually the reference pic is only one of a dozen. This one is from the West End Games Roleplaying Game. The standard colour of the Skipray is grey. I chose the reference image for the shape, not for the colour. Often the correct shape is being altered in computer games. Hence a drawn original was best even if it does not have the correct colours. Thank you! I am also glad to be more around again. I don't think that the Skipray is all too similar with the T-6 Shuttle. The T-6 shuttle however IS very similar to another starship: the Diamond-class Cruiser, which can be found in this thread. But maybe it's a good idea to give my Diamond mini model some red colour and a coned cockpit, as I didn't build the T-6 Shuttle yet, I guess. Thanks for the hint! Thanks again for the great discussion and see you around soon! Christopher
  20. Hello! It's a good snapshot of an underwater theme. You can feel the movement in the elements especially as the diver seems to glie freely. It's an advantage that the tentacle's tip fits exactly in the stud hole. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Hello! This reminds me to experiments I did when I got the first of these magnets in the old M:Tron sets. You've brought this to advanced function here and it's nice to see it hopping over the magnets. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  22. Hello! The big trophy cup as shop sign is a really good idea and finally an appropriate use for this oversized piece. Nice! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  23. Hello! It's great to see more Indiana Jones creations. The little diorama gives a really good impression of the real movie scene and makes you want to watch it again. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Hello! Some pretty funny ideas here. The really let you smile. But also the construction facility is a good concept. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! What I really like about this scene is that great extra-terrestrial tree. It's great to see how plants on other planets in the galaxy could look like. Cheers, ~ Christopher
