Hello again, and thank you for the nice comments! It's great to particpiate in holding up the great variety in the SciFi forum. See you soon, ~ Christopher

Hello! In one sentence, it looks fantastic! I remember also a white mechanical horse in the animated TV series "Saber Rider". I had to look twice at your horse to realize that it mostly consists of wedge pieces of all kinds. You brought the potential of wedge-shaped pieces to perfection with your horse. Most facinated I am by the ears of the horse. It's what I call a winner brick. It's a single piece that adds some specific detail besides contributing to the general shape of a creation. The modified plate with angled side tubes is a very clever move here. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! Having seen a nice Stargate MOC here in the forums recently, I realized that my Stargate collection had not had a single update this year. Fortunately a small model was already waiting to be photographed. Today I'd like to share my version of a F-302 Interceptor (internet reference image) of the Stargate Command with you. It appears in the original Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis TV series. The shape is not trivial, but I hope it turned out well. It features wedges wings which are also angled, as well as the little maneuvering wing tips orthogonal to the wings. It hasd a twin cockpit for both pilots and three engines out of which the center one is slightly bigger than the outer ones. >> Click here for instructions. << That's it for today. Thank you for your time and interest. See you around, yours Christopher.

Hello! It's always a challenge combining system scale and micro scale. You did a fantastic job with your scene here. Furthermore the brick-built sky is another highlight for me as I am a fan of pictures where you see bricks only. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello. I am not a fan of the new series, and also Atlantis was not my favourite either. But I always appreciate a Stargate when I see one. Now you have your virtual instructions, it would be nice to see it in brick where creations look more lively. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! I appreciate the original techniques used here. In particular the 1x4 mudguards to protect the knee hinges is a great invention. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again, and thank you for the clarifications. This sounds like an interesting project. Maybe some inspiration will appear on my mind to also participate with a ship featuring these specifications. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! This could be an interesting micro design, but it's hard to see anything, because of a white ship in front of a white background. I'd recommend a light grey background. By the way, please excuse my ignorance, but allow me one question: There are sveral new of these "Vic Viper" creations every week. They look all different. What is a Vic Viper? Where is their origin? It could be nice if someone would shed some light on this. Thank you. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! If I stumble over a broken piece I donate it to the recycling bin, so one day there might be parts of it in new bricks again. Chewed parts should not exist in my parts collection, as biting a brick is an absolute no-go for me. Some might hide somewhere, however, when I bought used bricks. Yellowed pieces is another problem. I don't throw away these, but sort them out in a special little box. I save them up until I can use them somewhere in the interior of a model where no one can see the yellowing. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Thank you for the additional comments everyone. It seems I still owe you an answer about scales. The almost 200 mini models in the collection are not to scale with each other. The range of sizes is simply too wide. I usually choose a scale that lets me include most details best. Some vessels are to scale by cooincident or by request. For example a small Acclamator to scale with the Venator, or a Nebulon-B to scale with the UCS ISD. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! The first minifigure fragment (left side) was an "Ice Planet Chief", a figure from the Ice Planet space theme started in 1993. It is part of five sets of that theme. The second minifigure (right side) is from the 1996s Exploriens space theme and is called "Explorien with Breathing Apparatus". It appears in five sets of that theme. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! This is really an original and unique concept! I'd be interested in a picture of its flight position. Will it tuck up its legs? Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Hello! Nice mini model using all the rounded elements. I remember the animated series "Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs" where the flagship was also named "Ramrod". Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again, and thank you for your kind participation in this discussion topic. See you all soon! Yours Christopher.

Hello! The pentagonal structure is quite impressive! It's a good concept for a habitat on a hostile planet. The only thing I don't like is the tiled floor. I think it would look much better with studs rather than paving everything with tiles. It also would also accentuate the smooth structures of the habitat frame. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! A really gargantuan construction. I think it looks like an industrial city with a large technology factory in the lower levels. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It's ncie to see a non-combat droid for civilian use. It's a nifty construction with droid pieces and clips. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! The little snowball set is really cute. It looks indeed like one of those small accessory sets. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Models of real vehicles in LEGO City sets

Hello! An interesting topic! As a creator set fan and also aerospace fan, I'd like to contribute creator set 4953 - Fast Flyers that is really pretty similar to the Grumman Aerospace Corporation F-14 Tomcat. See for yourself. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! Now that it's nearing completion, my congratulations to this successful station. It looks very authentic with a great interior giving it a high playability potential. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again, please don't be too sad. See it in a different way: The first set appeared 1994, and the last one in 2008. These are 14 years with new sets, and there were almost one hundered of them. This makes Belville to a very successful theme compared to other more short-lived ones. Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Well, I haven't heard about anything, but let's have a look at the Belville Set List over at BrickLink. You will notice that the newest Belville set was released in the year 2008, two years ago. So I guess it's unlikely that there will be new sets suddenly. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Welcome and congratulations to your first MOC which is looking not bad. You might want to try taking a lighter background (a light grey paperboard usually works fine) because it's hard to get dark things sharp in front of a dark background. Cheers, ~ Christopher
-
Hello! Indeed, I haven't noticed that yet. I find it difficult to follow all themes with all their new pieces. The more I appreciate that you get such hints and reminders everywhere here. Thank you. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Thank you for the nice comments! I hoped some of you would remember the original ship from the glorious days of classic space. Cheers, ~ Christopher
