LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 11 Rumours & Discussion
Yooha replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Whoppie, pictures (I hope they are official). I don't care about sci-fi minifigs too much, so I skip the evil mech, and the two ladies are only idealess counterparts of previous figs. Come on LEGO, you can do better! The welder has cool stuff, but what is really cool is the yeti. A funny one, but it's okay. -
The cover on the wagon is pretty cool, and a like the cross-shaped harness on the back of the horse.

Hey, I just found this page last week for an inspiration for my entry!

For the record, geishas are Japanese :) But why would a "Geisha girl" or "Japanese geiha girl" have been offensive? Geishas ARE Japanese, it doesn't mean that every japanese women are dresses like this all the time! And the "grandma visitor" name was the weirdest ever! Why not "liitle red riding hood"? Are there copyright issues for that name? -

According to brickipedia, that Kowalski guy is a character in a LEGO video game, who looks like Einstein. I think he was sarcastic, or at least I hope for the sake of those kittens. For the whole stereotypical story: Why would a non-offensive stereotype be offensive. There is nothing wrong with the Kimono Girl/Maraca man/Lederhosen guy. They emphasize the sterotypic aspect of those countries, but absolutely not in an offensive wa. Not mentioning their nationality in the official name is strange to me, but that's okay. And I would be happy to see a hungarian hussair or a sheperd in a fur coat! -
I thought this is a shield similar to the gungan one, with a permanent frame and a force-field in it. But a shield IS a barrier after all, so maybe I wasn't wrong that much.

So simple and so good looking!

The cut-out made it possible to have a window for the middle room as well, which is just above that roof (and cannot be seen on any pictures ) As for the chimney: It is 4 studs wide at the bottom because there is the oven, which is that wide. It didn't have to be so wide above. And when I designed the roof I just realised that I started a chminey down there, which would be hard to get through that roof. So I decided that the chimney will just avoid the roof as much as possible. That's why it stopped below the end of the roof. Hey, focus on the good things! The morals to myself: Check your pictures if everything can be seen that you wanted to show, and spend more time in designing. And the doors are always functional.

My next project, the Roast Boar inn -
The Roast Boar Inn From time to time, Lasvor travels through Mitgardia to collect some ingredients for his medicines. For example the only place where the pink edelweiss grows is in the northern mountains in Stoneroda County. Since it is a long travel form Valholl, Lasvor spends the night in the town of Stoneroda, and is accompanied by a small group of mitgardian soldiers as protection. “You see Lionel, this is I was talking about. The Roast Boar Inn! The best meal you can get in whole Historica, I tell ‘ya! You are lucky that your first assignment lead to here.” “Come on guys, I’m starving.” In the evening, his old friend, Steen Larson joins Lasvor for a cup of ale or two. Additional pictures of the Inn: Some details and items are hard to be seen in the completed model.

It sounds promising. I would enter unofficially with a digital entry if I may.

It looks like I will never have a tag then :( Won't there be a frameless tag for "posted at least x free builds in any form"? -

Damaximus: You can find miy sigfig here. -
Maybe that' not the good topic, but I couldn't find a "general questions" topic? Is there a way to acquire the built-in decorations as separate image files? I cannot find them in the LDD program folder.

All the builds are brilliant and Marecroft Manor from the outside is my favourite. In the meeting room the dark tan(?) bricks look well with the grey walls, I would never imagined that. And the story is fascinating!

I loved examining the pictures for all the details, thought I think I haven't found all the features. The rope bridge is fantastic! And the black-legged scout trooper is nice.

Just a note: It can be an issue open for discussion whether the following minifigs are part of the CMF line: Mr Gold, Toy Soldier, Team Britain figs, packs (rock band, monsters) They are not for me, but I accept if someone count them as part of the series.

I imagine the Yeti head similar to the Chewbacca or CM6 Minotaur head. And the fig to be light aqua/white in color. -

Yes, me. One free build, and one task that Ecc posted (do digital entries count?) are planned. -
For the design I used for the flaps, it was necessary to be three plates thick at least. Maybe it can be made thinner somehow. The anti-aliasing issue comes from the rendering software as the images are not resized for most cases. I'm always balancing between rendering time and quality; maybe I should put more weight on the quality-side.

The watermill by the creek -
In the plains southeast of Valholl, near the Winterlakes, there is a small creek and a mill on it. The miller collects the grain from the surrounding fields and sells the flour mainly for Valholl. After lifting up the roof and opening the back wall, you can see the interior of the mill. The driver is ready for the flour to fall from the heavens! “Hold on chum, we are going now.” “See you next time!” The barrels are full, the bakers of Valholl are waiting for the flour. Some fresh croissant, anyone? Note: Since transparent bricks takes aaaggggeeesss to render, the river is simply blue with some "ripples" on it. Be gentle with the critics about it please.
