  1. It looks fantastic, very "compact", yet so many details, I love it! Maybe I should try to build something in the South as well.
  2. I love that small set. I don't know the new cartoon, so I don't know who that Karai is, and why is her long ear glowing, but she looks nice.
  3. Am I the only one who sees the haircut of President Business as a bar chart?
  4. The gate looks really fantastic, though it's not LEGO :)
  5. My favourite is from the Animated Series, so none of these :( But if i had to choose, 7781. I hate the modern tank-like thing. And its name tumbler! That's a cup!
  6. I had an idea in my head, and when a read a set called "Andrea’s Mountain Hut" i tried to imagine what it could be. I doubt it would be a winter set, but it would be so cool. It is a shame that we have winter sets practically only for xmas. 25% of the year is covered by some 2-3% of the sets? More rights fr winter!
  7. Hi everyone, I was watching Episode II the other day, and at the scene in the Geonosian droid factory I was thinking how action filled it was, and how great it would be if we could see it in a LEGO set. So I designed it. I tried to make it the LEGO-way, so playability for children was more important then being exactly in the movie. So I compressed the many deadly machines in one long conveyor belt. This is how it looks like: With Anakin, Padmé, a Geonosian warrior, and a droid (it is a droid factory after all). Moving the two tan arms (one is visible here) from left to right you can imitate the movement of the belt. Can you avoid the deadly machines alongside it? Evade the robotic arms that want to catch Anakin! Help the Jedi by pulling the ball, so you can knock down that nasty insect! (Meanwhile, the droid production is still in progress) Can Padmé avoid the cutting metal plates?
  8. The fact that none of the entries I had voted won, shows how many great entries there are. And the winners are superb of course!
  9. I miss the combined building. Maybe a tropical jungle after the blizzard :) It's time for me to design some Friends animals sets just to earn my name!
  10. You can check all the winners, and make a statistic, but unfortunately not everyone's nationality is given here.
  11. Believe it or not, this opinion is the closest to mine. I wouldn't say "really poor", only "poor". The interior needs a HUGE improvement, and some uniqueness for the walls would be good. I was focusing on: having a Grond, making the gate possible to break, and have the beacon (that's the word I couldn't find). And the minfig selection of course. I imagine designing an official set take weeks if not months and there are several stages between the 1st try and the one that goes into production. And it is a teamwork, while this one is the product of a single mind and is only the 1st try. I just didn't want to say only "hey, let's have a gate and a Grond and some walls" and wanted to challange myself and design something. So thanks for the harsh words :) By the way, why are quote/multiquote/edit buttons there?
  12. I'm not at home so I can't look at it, but I remember around 1000. I considered the building with the throne room and the white tree, but since it is SO MUCH ABOVE the gate, the two sets would look silly next to each other. The Citadel should been elevated so much, that it would consume thousands of bricks, which is not feasable for an official set.
  13. Like most of you, I'm waiting for a Minas Tirith set. How about this? It is just a concept art, but would you like to see something like this as a set?
  14. Hi everyone, Speculations are coming whether there will be a next wave of LOTR sets this year ot not, since there are no sign of them. There are several scenes/caracters that we miss so much! The most iconic is – at least for me – Minas Tirith! I dared to design something, that could be released as an official sets. I tried to think with TLG’s head, regarding piece and minifig count and playability. This is what I came up with: The whole set with Minas Tirith gate, Grond, the tower with the signaling fire with some minifigs. The Grond from a closer view. The ram itself is hanged on chains, so you can swing it, when you try to break the gate. Because you can break the gate! You can see two technic bars at the two side of the gate. [1st picture] If you remove them, the gate can be pushed back from forward, imitating the siege, when the Wolf’s head crashes the gate. The rear view. The gate can be closed. I admit, I run out of steam with the furniture, so it’s a little empty. That was not my main point. :) The minifigs: Rear row: Two orcs in battle armor, Gothmog and a Cave Troll. First row. Pippin in Minas Tirith Guard outfit, Gandalf the white and two Gondorian soldiers. Disclaimer: I used the parts that are available in LDD so I had to live with its limitations. No proper LOTR troll mold and no new molds of course (For Gothmog’s head for instance). And the whole model is a compressed version of part of the city, but it is not unusual in official LEGO sets. The tower with the fire is not so close to the gate, but I wanted to add as many play feature as possible. The Citadel was left out though. I don't think it could be built together with the gate without making the city to small. Yes, there is a ballista. Remember, think like TLG.
  15. Good Shraliek crossover. I love when you use each other's caracters, makes Historice more coherent. Are there some better pictures of the General - or in other MOCs that I missed?
  16. The foaming(?) swamp looks very good. Is it lime? It looks lighter than that.
  17. Uuuh, very spikey! The one-winged ornament and planet dome are my favourite.
  18. I don't know what the heck Kidrobot figures, Library of Wisdom and Butterfinger promo are, but that list looks good to me. One change: I want Sideshow Bob sooo much! Maybe instead of Ned? He comes with the house.
  19. Bought Gail (among others) yesterday and noticed something unusual: Her helmet tilts on her head from right to left. It connects strong enough to hold the minifig's weight if you grab her by her helmet, but still! The helmet moves! Did anyone else experience such a thing? Or is it normal for a helmet mold?
  20. wasn't the other thread in the licensed topic good enough for this? Maybe they can be merged?
  21. I love your MOCs and the storytelling very much, keep on!
  22. I think: Your Name Your adress apart the country Your country See #250 or #252 (Who would thought it will be such an issue )
  23. How many "property of Ned Flanders" stickers can you see? I could find only one on the wheelbarrow. And what is that orange-black-red-blue thing on Bart's bookshelf? Something specific?
