It looks lovely, tha fav part are the reindeers. They look cute in brick form. Why to expect a molded one? Lego is for building, men! Is Santa's bag in red a new one? And where is the lamppost? A winter village set has to include a lamppost!

The Beauties of Hungary: part 2 – Heroes’ square Name: Millenium Monument on Heroes’ Square – Hősök tere, Milleniumi emlékmű Location: Budapest Piece count: 457 The Heroes’ Square is a major square in Budapest. In the centre of the square is the Millennium Monument, which has been finished by 1906 – ten years after the millennial celebration of the Foundation of Hungary. The central element of the monument is a column with Archangel Gabriel atop holding the sacred crown of Hungary in his hands. The base of the column is surrounded by the equestrian statues of the seven leaders of Hungary, with Árpád in the middle. Behind the columns are two colonnades each with seven statues representing great figures of Hungarian history. The list of these figures has been changed several times in the course of time.

Hi to everyone, Since the press release of 10244 Fairground Mixer my love for amusement parks/fairgrounds flared up once again.I loved designing the rides and shops for Roller-coaster Tycoon, and now I want to continue that road somehow. The set gave a great idea of traveling fairground so I designed a movable dodgem ride, and then I planned to continue with some “accessories”. For inspiration I visited the usual market in my hometown. The town of Debrecen hosts the Saint Michael’s Day market twice a year, in May and in late September/early October. A few blocks of the town is a huge (some kms long) market at this weekend, where sellers of clothes/shoes/dishes/candies/you-name-it try to sell their goods. A small fairground is part of the fun too. The following, smaller “activities” are regularly seen in these market: Ice cream motorcycle (How the ice-cream section is connected to the motorcycle section) Candy floss stand Indian musicians These guys always appear at the market. I don’t know how many such group travels around Europe, or even the same people come back each year (twice), but their music is an integral part of the market, and I love to listen to them.

The armor as lead vest is hilarious! One suggestion for improvement if it is not too late: change the x-ray picture of the real skull into a minfighead-shaped skull. Something like this.

Book II Challenge II - Avalonian Civil War! - RESULTS POSTED
Yooha replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm glad that Lasvor can help the people of Avalaonia against the plague. -
The planks on the side of the 'soep en worst' stall is a good idea. How was it done?

Thanks everyone. Wow, this project is insane! How many rides/shops are there? Many of them looks too complicated to an official set, they looks impressive though.

NEW LDD Brickset out - 1392
Yooha replied to Lyichir's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
What is a '90s brick base? I thought those bases for castles, but I didn't find such things. -
Seeing the new 10244 Fairground Mixer set made my excited, and the idea of an amusement park ride being mobile is brilliant. I thought it will be quite a challenge to continue what TLG started and design something similar. Here is what I came up with: Fairground dodgems The whole thing can be packed onto a truck and assemble on site. The two half of the building is attached using clips. As the total area covered is quite big, it has no floor- use it on flat surface! The Technic axles on top help the whole structure being more stable while traveling. With three cars and a ticket booth. The truck is basically the 3221 LEGO City Truck. I wanted to concentrate on the dodgems.

It is time for me to impudently advertise my old project. Of course these are not moveable and based on an old PC game, so it had some limitations. I started a build (in LDD as well) about a ride that is as moveable as this new set will be. I'll post it as soon as it will be ready, hopefully next week.

Wait, where do the juggler travel? Is there space for his long legs?
-
Oh! I'd have never thought of that solution. Now that I know where to search it, I see it on the pictures too. And the way the mixer is unfold in 2 seconds is magic!

Can the hit-the-bell thing packed unto the trucks as well? I don't see its place.

Are Tyrn and Alva from Iceland? (I just learned the custom of icelandic names the other day)

Book II Challenge II - Avalonian Civil War! - RESULTS POSTED
Yooha replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
As a medicine man, Lasvor would support DeGothia in Albion. Though I don't see why are thy called "sides" since the two activities (quaratine/drow hunting) doesn't rule out each other. Since rendered entries are not allowed, this is merely a symbolic action, but I try to build something unofficially. -

Uh, this cartonn lego head looks horrible! I'm glad that we're getting molded heads.

I have no idea how it was done and how it can be useful, but that looks brilliant. I spend a few minutes just to observe those crazy figs. It's strange that the overall color palette looks pink/orange to me. Is it only psychology, or there are some colors that are more rare than others? (like black, white, grey)

A LEGO code that forbids violence would be quite..um..strange, considering that there are several caracters in Harry Potter, LOTR, Star Wars...who are tortured/killed in the story. This hypocricy is present in the western culture, not only in lego. The likehood of occurence of the following 3 things in an american movie (from more to less likely): - murder - swearing - sex The order of how much the society thinks the following acts to be unmoral or condemnable (from less to more): - sex - swearing - murder

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Yooha replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
I just want to inform anyone - provided that anyone cares - that I don't have too much time for MOCing. I have two projects in my mind - both are in initial stage for weeks - but non of them are related to Historica, so you have to do without my wonderful renderings for a while. -

Ugh, those movie turtle minifigs look as scary as in the movie! The vehicles look good, especially the turtle van, but I stick to the animated series-typed turtles. I guess Donnie is in the 3rd set with someone. -
The bear is cute! And the whole town looks fantastic.
