  1. Thanks for all the positive comments everyone! I've uploaded a new version of the LDD file with some improvements to the strength and stability of the wing attachments, having played with the thing for a while now and seeing what works and what doesn't. The external appearance hasn't been affected much. So if you've already downloaded it, you'll want to do it again (same link above) to get the updated version.
  2. So it fights space? :p I kid. This thing looks slick, and if I were to make up a backstory for it based on looks alone, I'd say it's a clear predecessor to the X-Wing. It's like the missing link between the Z-95 Headhunter and T-65.
  3. *flips phone upside down* Looks great!
  4. Wow this is fantastic. I have a lot of love and nostalgia for the original 7140 set, and you've made some fun and sleek upgrades to the look of that model. In particular I like the integration of the landing gear, the cutesy proportions of those engines, and the spring-loaded missiles built in. Now rebuild it with old gray, and then we'll really be talking!
  5. I can see what you mean. The wings are capable of going straight up. I can take a picture if you're interested enough.
  6. What is a TIE Imposer you ask? Well, this: So, obviously something completely made up! That's what it looks like in its combat mode. This is its flight mode: I also made a video, which is easier than reading! (please pardon the amatuer style) The design of this was obviously heavily inspired by Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle, as well as possibly an enemy from Galaga or something? Not sure. I originally sketched out the wing shape on a piece of scrap paper while bored at work, then filled the rest in when I started designing. For those who can't watch the video for whatever reason, I'll recap some things. The "transforming" feature of the wings is facilitated by those heavy-duty ratcheted technic joints typically in use in things like the AT-AT. So they hold very well, but make for a somewhat strenuous movement (for the model especially). The side guns are using locking turntables, the large brick-sized sort that come available in a few more colors than just black and white but are somewhat hard to come by. The hull itself uses much of the same build as the Advanced Prototype 75082 set, with some colors switched out. The knob-turning missile-firing feature has been retained, much like with my TIE Interceptor, although extended quite a bit further back. And yes, it's swooshable! Fanon Backstory (If anyone cares) OBLIGATORY CHEESY PHOTOSHOPPED ACTION SHOT Now before anyone asks.... HERE'S THE LDD FILE! (click the download button at the top of the page) Thanks for looking!
  7. If you'll permit me a slightly off-topic response, there is a rumor from a pretty credible source that he may be returned to the canon via Rebels. http://makingstarwars.net/2016/01/rumor-the-largest-cameo-in-star-wars-rebels-chistory/ But your own minifig is certainly satisfactory in the meantime!
  8. Well, I'm not getting paid to do it, so it's kind of whenever I feel like it. I haven't even started it yet. I suggest taking up a hobby in the meantime so you don't grow impatient. Like yo-yo tricks! By the time you've mastered the yo-yo, and you're walking the dog in the yo-yo nationals among the best in your country, it will be done!
  9. It's kind of a magical feeling when something you've been working on for weeks (months?) on LDD finally comes to life in your hands. Congratulations on getting to experience that feeling, and for creating a solid fighter craft!
  10. I was thinking about designing one for my own purposes and I'll share it here whenever it's done.
  11. Definitely like the overall composition of scenes they've done. Although I may be in the minority on this one, I was never a big fan of the basic bricks and plates building style using very few specialized pieces. Seems a little too rudimentary to me.
  12. I really like it!
  13. Haha nice. That's how my Interceptor MOC started out. I just went to the local LEGO shop and used as many Pick-a-brick pieces as I could, before finally cracking open Lego Digital Designer and remaking it from scratch. Your A-Wing looks pretty good too!
  14. Holy crap is that the X-Wing Unikitty pilots?
  15. That's certainly out of the way.
  16. The design is definitely unusual, but it does stand out from the others. I can't fault the creativity, and I certainly can't fault the execution! The greebling is clean yet detailed, and the colors and overall shaping are well-realized. You came up with a crazy idea, and ran with it, and pulled it off with some gusto.
  17. I'm probably gonna need to do this. Thanks for the file!
  18. Sure. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B412rbIcKxE3WlBpQkFlbzJmb0E/view?pref=2&pli=1 Hopefully that works.
  19. UPDATED! This is my Interceptor v2! See original post. Super pleased with this one, and hope you agree!
  20. Given all the Technic holes in the way, I'm curious how you accomplished the control panel!
  21. Those look great aaaaaand how much do you want for Luke's? :P
  22. Soooo.... I super love the engines. I also really like the body. Greebling is great. It's like the hotrod of the Star Wars universe. Maybe slightly less successful are those front nose guns. Eh, the gears with the studs on the ends... Not sure that works. Everything else though, bravo!
  23. I'd say this post disproves that.
  24. I remember when this was posted. It is certainly among my favorites.
