Welcome! It's good to see another Aussie on here, most I know of are from the Eastern states, but me, I"m an Adelaide boy, probably around your age. Have you seen the thread on Aussie Sales, it's a great way of keeping each other up to date on the bargains around Australia. Here it is for you Aussie Sales

I gave it a 4. I love some of the details but would have liked to have seen a few Fabuland windows in it to give it that full Fabuland feel.

Yep, this is correct, they stopped showing up at my toys r us in Adelaide a week or two ago. However, it would be worth asking them if they have any out the back because I noticed a few star wars sets in the store rooms you can see into a tmine that weren't actually on the shelves for wahtever reason. -
A MISB 4757 Hogwarts castle was delivered to my door this morning, seeing if I can keep it sealed until xmas. And an imperial dropship on sale last night.

I got an imperial dropship at my k-mart, strangely the discounted price was about 50cents less than the rebel battlepack, I have no idea why. Also, as mentioned in this thread a while ago, the speed racer grand prix set is still on clearance (at my k-mart at least), even for the now ridiculous $40 I didn't get it. -

The new AT-TE was the one with the biggest discount (I'm going from memory here). -

Big W has major discounts on Agents sets starting Thursday. K-mart has 20% off all lego and in quite a few cases, way more than 20% of RRP, including some coast guard and star wars sets. -
A mass of white pieces to build my own Hoth Base around the Hoth door set.

At my local K-mart (Firle - Adelaide) at least the Speed Racer Grand Prix set is on clearance and with the sale it comes down to $42.50 (about half off!). I ran it through the price checker to be sure the discount applied. I resisted the urge as it doesn't have parts that are particularly useful to me but of others this might be a great deal. -
I learn something new every day, apparently star wars lego dates back to the 80s and early 90s, well according to this guy anyway Star Wars buy it now Thankfully I'm local to this guy so I can save on postage, but it is free if the bid goes above his buy it now price of $6,000. I assume he's going to buy a new camera with his earnings from this sale.

A couple advent calendars, The Krusty Krab (a gift for someone I'm pretty sure doesn't read Lego forums), and the police impulse set which I'm way more impressed with than I thought I'd be.

Umm, no, it's $19.99, a quick look at lego shop at home would tell you that. I see it as possible that the price of battle packs will go up in US $s and stay the same in Aus $s as when battle packs first came out the Aus $ was a lot weaker than it is now.

Just to be clear, that was approximately 30% off selected sets (no star wars ones listed), ones that are only released at K-mart pretty much now. -

It was in the catalog in my junk mail yesterday, also it said 20% off star wars toys but there was no mention of Lego being excluded or included. -

K-mart has some great deals starting tomorrow. Massive discounts on just released sets, dwarf mine defender just $10, the troll warship less than $70, that giant creator ferry on huge discount and there were a couple technic sets and that creator convertible as well at around 30% off. -
THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List

And I'd like to add Josh (I Scream Clone) to the straight shooters list. With this mega deal of ours it was necessary for him to hand over $500 well in advance of receiving the Lego which took a lot of trust on his part, but we both made sure we communicated a lot. Enjoy that $500 worth of grey parts, Josh! -
I have two of these. I voted it above average because the barding for the horse is beautiful and the black and red coour scheme of VLadek and his gang has a nice evil feel, purple not so good for King Mathias' men. I think a few people may have voted this a little lower than they would have when it came out because they're probably comparing it to some of the super high quality castle sets that have been released more recently. Thanks for the review!

My thoughts on the rumoured Y-wing and Millenium Falcon are as follows: They're just mini set versions of the bag charms that have been released. Why do I say this, well it just seems too soon to release minifig type scale versions of either of these sets, given how recently they've been on the market.

I live not far from toy corner and have had absolutely brilliant service all the time. Darren, the store's owner also has a shop on bricklink (a few sets and lots of parts) and he's always combined shop and online orders for me. The quality has always been excellent and the service extremely efficient. Also search www.bricklink.com for other Aus shops. Brett from maxspace is great too.

On first appearances it looks like maybe Lego are triyng to appeal to their exoforce market. On these pics they don't appeal to me at all. They just look like city construction sets with a few extra colours and add-ons, but I will reserve final judgement until better pics come through.

Yeah, that's normal, don't worry about it. I got the same message but then checked my credit card and I've been billed for the correct (much cheaper) amount.

It's not actually a sale but my local toyworld (Adelaide) has a bunch of agents sets as well as the castle sets that until now had only been available at shop at home or Big W (when they had stock). -
Purple you say, I can give you purple, and a few more colours! From my brickshelf folder purple classic space man and friends

Not only has the winning bidder put in a bid of $250 for set that's worth what $40? He/she also has an extra bid in on top of that, you don't want a sniper coming in and getting such a bargain to find you only missed by a few dollars, that is totally crazy.

OK, so by now we've probably all heard the space police rumours. So I was wondering what are peoples favourite sets from the two Space Police themes? Which is your favourite of the two versions of Space Police. I guess I should get the ball rolling. I definitely prefer the Space Police 1 theme. the main reason is the figs, being a classic space nut, any fig that resembles them gets my approval, also I just don't see anything menacing or bad in the Blacktron 2 figs used in Space Police 2. As for favourite sets, mine is the light and sound set 6781 SP Striker. Although of the large ships from the two space police themes, I prefer the 6984 Galactic mediator from space police 2 rather than the 6986 mission commander from space police 1 that appeared too back heavy to me.
