  1. So, with all the other WIP's I've seen, I guess its time to show off my entry for this, or at least what I've got of it so far... Keep in mind that this is my first real Supercar, and has a lot of testing on one side, while leaving the other to compare. It has no fake engine, because it was unrealistic (and took up space) It has a forward, neutral, and reverse option, but it is basically useless, as it connects to nothing. It has full suspension, as well as the steering wheel being connected to the steering. I need a few opinions: How do the red fenders look? (Only have 2 white flex axles available, so I was testing how red looked) Should I take out the back two seats in replacement for a gearbox? Which front fender looks better? The flex axles or angled pieces? Should I make a combination model loosely based off the mission e? Please tell me your thoughts, and opinions, and any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
  2. (Still Off Topic) I searched them and they were 13$ a piece, x 4 = 52$ plus tax, which is SUPER expensive... I wish I got the set when i could, the rims would be great for the porsche I'm trying to build...
  3. Looks very good! This is a bit off topic, but does anyone know where to buy those wheels, it think they are from the set 41999, but is there an easy way to buy the rims? (I LOVE the while around it)
  4. It says multiple entries are allowed, so I was thinking of building a Porsche car as well as a tractor as two different entries
  5. I would find it useful to have them longer, but it is probably true that they would break/get damaged easily.(I keep my 32L axle away from the Lego drawers so mine doesn't get damaged.) If they made it out of a stronger material it may work, but Lego won't ever do that.
  6. I use the steering one as well as the classic lego axles/pins. Nothing too fancy for me. As long as it works. The only setup I hate is the one mentioned by LXF, I hate the ones that lego creates for steering.
  7. I find it weird how they are bring decade old parts into new Lego. I have no problems with it, I just find it odd.
  8. Really? Any retired sets that I want are overpriced, plus I find it hard enough to buy the sets of this/ last year so I probably won't get it any time soon. Do you guys get these off bricklink?
  9. Yeah, I hate it though, I missed out on the unimog, but it goes for so much now. It feels like I'm left out of half of the technic stuff just because people say its the best one ever. I honestly don't like when people mod this far. Just create a new model. Definitely getting this model though.
  10. I see it too, although I can't see it fully, but it does look like what your talking about.
  11. Anyone know what size wheels they are? Are the rims the size of unimog rims or are they smaller, it's difficult to tell by the photo's. I want to build a super car myself, but I need an idea on where to start.
  12. Oooh. You have me intrigued. Can't wait for the final product! It's nice to see it in an uncommon blue, let alone one that is using panels!
  13. Possibly try putting the weight beneath the rocker/articulation point of each side. If I am correct, it should keep it somewhat stable. Try that, although I can't guarantee it.
  14. How difficult is it to become a Lego designer? Is it ever too late to try to become one?
  15. Man, I really want this set, so I'm going to get it. But looks sooo good that I don't know whether or not to display it, or use it for parts. It look so good. P.S. I hope the green and white Porsche in the background are not going to be sets (my wallet needs a year to relax after all these good sets)
  16. I agree, but I usually make it possible to see the interior by having a lifting hood, an open bottom, etc. I don't mind using panels at all, plus they make my models lighter, which really helps. (I also like a 'finished' look, something comparable to the inspiration where there are no gaps where there aren't meant to be gaps)
  17. I missed the Unimog and 4x4 limited edition. Heard great things about those sets... Although I did pick up a VERY lightly used mindstorms kit for cheap. Usual selling price for Canada is $400 I picked it up for $250... I seem to be lucky yet unlucky...
  18. Everyone with their clean desks, I'm ashamed to show mine because right now I'm building something... Even if I have a lot of desk space, I picked up two service desks for free when Future Shop closed
  19. Very interesting, I haven't seen anything like this before!
  20. Personally, no body should have to go through the effort to create instructions, in depth details are good enough for me. If you have a plan for Lego models, occasionally take a picture, if you have no order (like me) Take pictures with the casing (is this the proper term?) off. For me, I prefer to build my own custom stuff, so instructions are only useful for stuff like suspension, or to see what others make, or how they developed a certain model...
  21. I want to make this, but I hate copying people, so the instructions would be very much helpful, I also want to make a custom bionicle figure to represent Link from the Legend of Zelda series of video games does anyone know if these parts come in brown? (Epona from the Legend of Zelda is brown)
