How can they possibly do it? They have nothing in common. You can't build anything. Unless, of course, you're required to build your own guitar first...
-
It makes sense to throw in ARC gear along with the other parts to 'customize' a bit, though. Dang. I was hoping for some more black gear. Ah well, more battlepacks it is.
-
Although I can't play it with sound at the moment, It looks great from what I can see- I especially liked him getting pelted with gear. Excellent animation, and great cannon MOCs!

Cad Bane is starting to bother me how much like Jango Fett he is. While he may not have the armor, all his gear is the same. Dual pistols? Check. Rocket propulsion? Check. Whipcord thrower? Check. He even does the same thing to Ahsoka with his whipcord that Jango did with Obi-Wan. -
Hey, Dunamis, here's a question: Does this set come with bley or black ARC trooper gear, or even any? I haven't seen any in the pictures...
-
Well, I wasn't planning on getting this at all, until I saw the MODs he did. Now I might just have to...
-
Wow! Now that's cool. Why couldn't TLC do that? It has a lot more playability than the slide. How did you mod it? Did it require any extensive modding, or did you simply build onto the bottom?
-
Very nice! It's great how much better it looks by filling up the holes. Make sure to take full pics when you're done!

One thing they could do would be to take out those rediculous blinking status lights that use up so much unnecessary power. Turning it off isn't enough, we have to unplug it, too. Anyway, I've never heard about this. Maybe I ought to try it. Still, there are better, and longer lasting ways too help- like recycling.

Great review, Dunamis! I'm not getting this until it goes on 50% off sale. It's rediculous. And I agree- this really deserved a unique fig or two. Maybe Aayla or Commander Bly would have increased my interest in this set. The cockpit and the loading ramp on the AT-OT are what ruins it for me. There's just this giant hole between the cockpit and the shoulder, and the ramp is at a high angle to the ground. Shabby, shabby design there. I think I might just take out the feature so I can fix it, and let the dropship carry my AT-TE.

Ooh, very nice! I really like the shape of the head. Maybeyou could bulk up the base of the beak, though? If you look at it, it looks a little like a horizontal line. Adding a few bricks to the bottom might help. What nature center is it being donated to?
-
Plus it would save TLC a LOT of money on shipping, and I've noticed that large boxes tend to intimidate parents, as if all they can think of is how big it is and how size=pricey.

I would have to say my favorite piece is the new SW blasters. So much better than the old megaphones! My least favorite piece(s) would be the new troll sword and armor. They're big and ugly, especially the sword.

I don't think I do either... Anyway, it was a great episode! No glaring holes or mistakes that I can think of. However, why did all the Senate Commandos seem to end up going in a room together? A little too easy, don't you think? Plus, why didn't anyone notice that the Senate building just suddenly closed? It seems that someone should have noticed, rather than having to have Orn Free Taa tell them. And as they escape, Cad Bane blows up the room as Anakin and the senators get out. Since Bane had no more bargaining power, couldn't Anakin have sent a message telling the clones to go after them? Anyway, I liked what Anakin did with the Weequay- it was the same maneuver Vader did with Han! -
Mystery Manor - Chapter Eight

And only one bedroom? It would seem that in a manor that there would be guest chambers, a library, and multiple other random rooms... -

Actually, that was Republic Commando: Hard Contact. I haven't read Cestus Deception in a while, though, so maybe it happened there... Anyway, did anyone see the web comic? It was interesting... it involved some guy with really nice Mandalorian guantlets that Cad Bane lured into a trap. I've determined that he's not Mandalorian for a few reasons: -Even though he has the guantlets, he doesn't have a helmet. Or the rest of the armor. -He lacked awesomeness... -

Well, simple- there are a lot of them, and they don't need a brain to shoot at something. Still, they ought to be more menacing, and they really need to show how dangerous they are when there are so many. Agreed. Besides, how do you talk to someone as sadistic as a CIS General that shows up intending to use the village as guinea pigs to see how well his new toy weapon works? Pacifism would never work against people like him. I'd like to see a Jedi turn bad. What a great episode that would be! Again, like I said, there need to be a lot of droids, which simply hasn't happened yet. -
I regret not buying most of the UCS sets, mostly the X-Wing, Y-Wing, and Blockade Runner. They're running 150+ on BL now. Too bad I was relatively young when Lego sold them. I wasn't particularly interested in them, then. After getting my first UCS, the AT-ST, and General Greivous, I started looking around. Too bad all the current UCS are beyond my size range.
-
I really like the Pearl Silver 'sabers. Just beautiful. Not too bright like the old chrome, but it still looks shiny- unlike those terrible bley 'sabers. Also, Dooku's lightsaber. Mine dissapeared (along with my Greivous, Darth Maul, and Vader. I suspect theft) a few years ago, so I've always wanted another one... too bad I'll have to pay $15 bucks for the magnet pack. Still, better than paying for Dooku's Solar Sailer.

Agreed- There's five of them, and they don't do anything. They run. I really don't get why they're called "commandos" if they're going to be that pathetic. Watching the preview again, I think I saw Palpatine among the hostages. Why then, is only Anakin there to rescue them? It seems to me that this situation would warrant the use of at least one squad of Commandos and an ARC trooper... At the very least, I'd like to see CSF (Coruscant Security Force) to make an appearance. -

Quite awesome. I like his voice- some characters leave me groaning with their voices (like Anakin) but Bane sounds like quite the cool villain. Can't wait! The only way they could make this better would be to add some Mandalorian mercenaries. And they'd better not kill off Aurra Sing. -
Agreed- I really don't like the proportions on some of the characters. Anakin is really thin, while the clones' arms are too thin. And then there's the eyes.
-
While I agree that the 2D series was overexagerated, the new series ins extremely underexagerated. You see shots flying everywhere- and nothing seems to hit anything, and the only damage that ever seems to occur is what the Jedi do themselves. I love both, for different reasons. The old series was simply awesome because of its overexagerated-ness, while I like the new one for its beautiful computer-animated scenes.

Interesting. Now I really can't wait for this show! I don't know much of his acting career, but I really hope he'll do better than: "Get him, dad! FIYAH!"
