  1. Battle of Endor was out of stock at mine, so I got a rain check. Instead, they were offering a dollar off of the bionicle canisters. Oh great, now they're only a little bit less overpriced!
  2. Wow, very nice. You really got the eyes spot on. Still, I think my favorite of yours is this:
  3. I'm not saying I don't like the show... just not all the episodes. As long as the Mandos are bad@$$.... ...true.... very true.
  4. Wierd, when reading "The Bounty Hunter wars", Bossk was supposed to be very young for a Trandoshan. More trampling over EU. Although they mentioned that the Mandalorian who spoke sounded "quite familiar"... Rumors on the comments beneath it went from Jon Favreau to Mark Hamill to Bruce Campbell. Although I really, really, really don't want to see an appearance of Mandalore (the planet) in the show. I just know they're going to ruin it, the way the show runs over EU.
  5. I don't know, I'd be afraid to use something that expensive. Cameras excluded, of course. I'm fine with my little cheap phone- it's purple-ish hue is slightly annoying, sure, and I have to be careful not to have it out when my friends have their smartphones out. Some of those apps, (there's a Raptor identification book on one ) and internet access is pretty attractive, though.
  6. I think that's been on for a while, but it's still pretty neat. Do we know it's Bossk, though? I thought he was fairly young, although I have no idea how old he was.
  7. Whatever you do: Don't put them in water. My family made a LEGO brick cake and stuck a lot of droids on top. When I soaked them in water to get the cake off of them, most of the joints on my Super battle droids failed. As a result, I have very few SBDs. Meh, it was a good cake anyway. As far as I can tell, non of my normal battle droids are experiencing any problems.
  8. I didn't vote. It's way too hard to decide, as they both have their ups and downs. Ups of '89: Rediculously awesome pirate ships. I managed to snag the BSB when LEGO was doing the 'retro' set theme, whenever that was. I also found the Armada Flagship in Toys 'R' Us in 2001. They may be the only sets I have of the theme, but I sure do love them. Absolutely beautiful ships. Downs of'89: Not much, really. Some of the smaller ships I'm not really a fan of, but I don't really have anything to complain about. Ups of '09: The Soldier's Fort and Kracken Attackin' I own, and they're both pretty neat. the fort is solidly constructed, and really reminds me of the '89 set. The raft in Kracken Attackin' is very cute and well built, so that gets a thumbs up from me. I don't own any other sets, but from what I've seen and read on reviews, the Shipwreck Hideout is very nice, too. The figs are also amazing- especially the Governor. Downs of '09: Stickers on the walls! The ship seemed too simplified. No lines on the ship, only some tubing holding up the bow sail (Yes, I know there's a name...and it's pathetic that I forget this). The downside for the 'unique' faces is that they're all variations on the same 3 or 4 faces. I'm sure some hardcore pirates are going to scoff at my pathetic knowledge of '89 (and lack of knowledge on sails), but hey, at least I'm dabbling in what's way out of my area. EDIT: Ha! Forestay!...or is it jib?
  9. Exactly. It's not a new thing. TLC's misplaced SW sets all the time. Sure, it annoys the heck out of me, but not particularly important.
  10. Right now, there's no point in getting the Blueray. I still have an old T.V. that I got for $25 at a garage sale, and I'm not sure if I'll be getting an HD anytime soon- the old one still works, no real point changing it 'til it breaks.
  11. I'd suggest removing the black visor from his helmet. I couldn't find a picture, but as I recall they had a different helmet from the others, more rounded and all white, I think.
  12. Haven't seen this yet, but I'm planning to. Oh, and moved to Culture & Multimedia forum!
  13. Hmm.... I'm imagining "Honey, I shrunk the kids", done in a lego world. That's the only way I can make any sense in it.
  14. Same here. Seeing it once was good enough for me.... Some action bits were good, but the movie didn't deserve to be a movie, compared to some of the later episodes, such as Ambush, Rookies, and the last one, which I forget the name of.
  15. Shame. Do you have any idea where to find any?
  16. Happy Birthday, guys! Hope you get lego, money for lego, etc., etc.,... That is one cool cake.
  17. I know I've seen a picture of one, but did you see one in the season 2 ad? If so, that would be amazing.
  18. Some licensed themes like SW, Indiana Jones, and Batman have been great. However, some haven't- Galidor, for example. I'm worried that we're going to start seeing too many new themes. I don't particularly care for the pics I saw of Toy Story, and I'm worried about Ben 10. And there are supposed to be even more coming.... I know that TLC can make our wishes of extremely awesome Castle and Pirate sets come true if only they'd focus on them a little more.
  19. Hehe, makes me think of the drunk little Jester on the Wizard of Id. What was his name? Bung?
  20. Very cool. My only nitpick is that the power station looks a little rough. I'd suggest putting some tiles on the exposed studs of the window to look a little more like the research hub.
  21. I agee with odinson1313- Those don't exactly look like rebels. and when I took a closer look, the 'pilot' doesn't exactly look like a pilot- his head is all blobby, rather than the roundness that we'd see in a helmet. I know it's blurry, but that doesn't look like the torso, either: I think that it could look more like this: I think that this just might be the Trandoshan from the CW season 2 we've all seen (or might have). The problem is that I have no idea what the other shapes on there might be- oh, and that the scenery is WHITE! it looks an awful lot like Hoth to me. Also, I think it could be that it's already confirmed for a Hoth BP, so if so, ignore the above statement. Either way, I thought I'd just point it out.
  22. Why would they? On Mandalore, Everyone knows how to fight. I'd say they have more of a frontier type personality- too tough or proud to want to join the Republic.
  23. Very funny. I love the use of the katanas as a pair of pruners. I look forward to more!
  24. I didn't care for the voice they chose for him... it actually reminds me of my own voice when I use a microphone.
  25. Ah, but they are mercenaries. Except it's different to them- the're the best mercs, after all. They've been doing it for thousands of years. I'd really like to see them kill Cad Bane. He's getting dangerously close to being a Jedi hunter, and that wouldn't do at all if they portrayed him as better than Fett.
