  1. It was good, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe I'd set my hopes a little too high waiting for Mace Windu. Oh well, still good action scenes, though. I agree with vulture droid's opinion- it was oddly spaced. It seemed like they didn't have enough time, and could have gone with another two-episode week like the Blue Shadow Virus. One thing I didn't like was how little the clones actually did. They didn't say anything, and those two guys with Windu- they couldn't even get up a ledge by themselves. And I think they only said one or two lines each. I also don't get why Wat Tambor is now a captive. Plot holes! Boo! Not so sure on the Frog Cavalry, either. Overall, though, I was expecting a lot more Mace awesomeness, on par with Shatterpoint. Maybe it was a bit too hard to do in that short a time period, though. Onto the good things: I liked the freedom fighters. The leader had some good dialogue. The unexpected appearance of Commando Droids was very welcome. Glad to see some more use out of them. I loved the tactical droid. What a jerk. The AT-TEs were awesome. Nice to see them used. About the new episode: Sigh. I like the idea of Cad Bane- he looks like such a cool character. But why have Anakin trapped in a building with him? Another waste of a perfectly good opportunity for Clone Commandos.
  2. Yeah, that was a great episode. They really keep getting better and better. I like how they managed to keep the episode interesting, delving into the clones and Obi-Wan a little more, while still managing to have a decent amount of fighting. On par with Trespass, to me! I liked how we got to see two clone's different reactions to the girl. Waxer wants to help, and Boil...just wants to get the hell out of there. The Gutkurrs were great, too! Much scarier than the vulture-things. My only greivance was what the girl said at the end. I was expecting "Nerra" to mean something like "hero", or "friend." but no, it means "brother." Huh?
  3. Ooh, wow. Thanks for the links! Those look great, especially the monster crab/rhino/insect things. Much scarier than the vulture/lions of Jedi Crash. Can't wait.
  4. Interesting topic! I've discovered that my MOCing ability increases exponentially after making my first bricklink purchase to make this, was so much better than my current method of digging in a bin to find parts, and not finding them, etc. Giving me more parts, it's a lot easier to build what's on your mind, and I hope to do it again. I've been planning on a project to make a lighthouse island, sometime...so this'd be my ideal MOC.
  5. I think a better name for this would be "Apology- temporarily misplaced pics," as this topic seems to suggest that you're apologizing for the quality of them.
  6. I like the clones like this. The only thing that bothers me is the hair... The clones were cloned from a Mandalorian, right? Especially the Commandos- they've been trained by Mandalorian instructors, who taught them the culture, which includes an obsessive sense of self and community. The commandos, in turn, trickled this down the ranks to the normal troopers. Besides that, sometime during the CW the system was changed from rank markings to markings denoting what legion, battalion, or specialized squad the clones came from. For example, Cody's troops have orange markings like he does, and so on. What I don't get in the CW T.V. system, however, is how only a few of them have markings.... take a look at Innocents of Ryloth, for example. There are two clones with Cody's markings, and everyone else is simply white. But as for the Lego version, I like it. Sure, having the Ep. III clones red, green, and yellow is annoying, but there aren't many specialised troopers in the new CW figs, other than Rex and Cody. So yes, I like customization in my clones. As a side note, the Stormtroopers are black and white because to the clones went from being a valuable asset to expendable grunts, as they started mass-producing clones who achieved maturity in a year, rather than ten, so they were cheaper. The downside of this was that they developed no sense of self, and were really just machines.
  7. Ooh! Wow, well done! You've put a lot of work into this! I'm not sure which is my favorite scene. You've certainly put a lot of effort into each. And the sidestories of the characters are all well done, too. After this intro, I really can't wait to see the first episode!
  8. Happy birthday guys! You're both hitting some big ones. Well, hopefully that means more bricks, cake, & especially candles.
  9. Nice! I think I need to re-build my ARC-170...
  10. Yeah, now that show was very...overpowered. I still liked it though, mostly for the ARC troopers. That's funny that they say that when they edited 'hell' out of Rookies... Hm. I wasn't sure what their plan was on that....Where were the bombers in the first attack?
  11. You try to turn a giant ship. I don't think they had time to do anything other than open fire (which I agree would have done absolutely nothing) and the Mar Tuuk to get away. As for the ship taking that much fire to it's belly, Sion had a point- the giant hangar deck is a weakness. But I'm pretty sure the ship could take that much damage, if they'd have put all power to the shields there. They weren't using the engines, and they weren't using any cannons (which were pointed the other way), leaving a lot of power to those shields. Plus, I think Venators are much more powerful than are shown here. They do seem to get blown up a lot, don't they? Whereas the CIS Frigates were never supposed to be very powerful. As for realism, well, remember, a Star Destroyer falls out of the shot in one of the Classic films, and we've always heard engines and so on. As long as it's in the original series, I'm fine with it.
  12. Storm Over Ryloth was great! Some of the dialogue was a little bit awkward, but it did show us a little about Ahsoka's character. She lost a lot of confidence after losing... I don't know. I don't think it was a lot of pilots, though. But I did like their solution to the blockade: "Let's throw a ship at them!" By the way, does anyone know what those lines were on Mar Tuuk's hands were? I had no idea, though I did like his spinny thing on the side of his head. We got to see the T.V. wall thing again from Ep. 1. I was pleasantly suprised to see that. EDIT: The preview for Innocents looks amazing! It seems the final episodes are going a bit deeper that 'charge in, fight, etc., etc.,' that we've been seeing. Looks like Obi gets to make some decisions this time. "Who's up for a challenge?" "Here we go again..."

    Pet Peeves

I just got this as a late Christmas present: I've been wearing it everywhere. I've discovered that a lot more people know Fett than previously though.
  14. I'd like to step on Mr. Crawford's hand on my way by.
  15. I'd like to open the drawers on the east side of the room.
  16. Why Anakin? If we want to see a Die Hard version of SW, we need Windu to do it.
  17. Sorry, guys, they're all MOCs (with the exception of the MINI TIE). The Naboo ship came up about a year or so ago, and someone found his brickshelf.
  18. It's a trap!! Ahem...humor aside, I seriously beleive that it would be very, very easy for someone to hide in this mansion. There are certainly plenty of places to hide, and the fact that we're locked in here is also interesting. Maybe we should be on the lookout. Besides, as Mr. Spencer pointed out, there have been two people killed just recently.
  19. C: This topic is unscientific. It's a good set, yes, but mostly because it's something we've been asking for. If there was something new by way of minifigs in it, it'd be a yes from me.
  20. Exactly. The AT-OT may be big and expensive, but it's basically the AT-TE and the Gunship put together, and we wouldn't qualify those as UCS. Besides, I don't think I could ever classify anything as UCS with Flick-Fire missiles.
  21. Well, there used to be a topic devoted to sightings and set releases, but I guess no one looked at it. So, no, this topic didn't really need to be made.
  22. Also, it seems to me that after you've had fun attaching/dropping of the AT-OT, what else is there? I mean, sure, there are SIX(!) clones and TWO(!) pilots, but what else? You can get clones and pilots anywhere else. For this price, we need a little more. A new Jedi would be nice, or a new clone commander, like Bly, to give you that little push to get the set- I got the AT-TE partly for Rex. Plus, for that price, we need an enemy of some sort! They have nothing to fight, and my clone army is swiftly growing, while my droid army ain't. EDIT: oh, and go to the "UCS Discussion" thread to fight about the UCS issue.
  23. I'd like to examine all the weapons around here for traces of blood. There do seem to be a lot of them, don't there. I think I'm in heaven!
  24. Well, it popped up that the virus has been eradicated before, indicating that this cure must have been found before. Maybe Typho just Googled it.
  25. *revives* Well, there's been some discussion in the 2009 set thread on whether or not the new AT-OT and Gunship is a UCS set. Well, it's not. The "10000" series isn't strictly UCS, but for LEGO exclusives. Examples of this would range between 10193 Green Grocer, 10179 UCS Falcon, all the way down to 10200 Custom Car Garage, which I wouldn't exactly classify as UCS, right? But then again, it's in the Ultimate Collectors Series section of the SW part of S@H... so I guess that renders everything else I've said invalid.
