  1. Wow, very nice! This and Galactic Enforcer are going to be the only two sets of the wave I'll be getting- Gold Heist and Space Truck Getaway simply can't measure up. Although I don't get why they're not available in the U.S....
  2. Ugh... I'm not too sure about the minifig. I've never liked the fleshie-tan hair color mix with Luke, and doubly so with the girl hair. Oh well...
  3. Wow, that's nice. I hope it finds its way to S@H or something, and not stay in the Legoland store.
  4. Very nice! I think I like the rear view the most- how the back hangs off of the treads. What does it have by way of interior? Maybe try replacing those silver studs on the treads- they stand out a bit. Hehe. I love typos sometimes.
  5. Hmmm.... I haven't had many, so it should be easy, although I've already forgotten. Something like "A frood who really knows where his towel is"? "Ras is my master" "Ras is my toilet flushing servant" Although there might have been one after the towel one.
  6. ...And that's terrible. I think it's a reality show on Animal Planet... that channel has had a lot of terrible shows lately.
  7. It seems that mine has changed for the better- From "Ras is my master!" to "Ras is my toilet flushing servant"...
  8. Good topic. I'm not sure I can get to ten, but we'll see. Off the top of my head I have: 1. Boba Fett w/ printed limbs 2. Darth Vader 2009 edition 3. Yellow Tatooine Luke (He's my avatar) 4. Kashyyyk trooper 5. Captain Rex 6. Imperial guard To be worked on later...
  9. Though most ships wouldn't evolve from centuries-old designs, though. This was mostly wanting to keep it recognizable.
  10. Meh....While the animation is fantastic and it all looks very epic, I can't view this as an "Old Republic", so much as a re-hashed alternate Original Trilogy. It's just not different enough to be centuries before the everything else... Sorry to you guys who like it, I just have to vent some steam on the Old Republic series in general. What's with the Vader knockoff? The guy with the white and red mask in KOTOR II was fairly original for a sith (come on, black robes and a red 'saber ), but this guy is Vader who's gained a few pounds minus his helmet. He even has a rebreather for goodness sake! Aargh! My main annoyance is with the ships. They are all simple redesigns of original vehicles. Star Destroyers, check. TIE fighters, check. We even get a ship that looks almost exactly like the attack shuttle in the Clone Wars. Also, the technology in this is just as good as what supercedes it centuries after, in some cases better. I don't know what to make of it... And then there's the chunky astromech droid. What I mean to say is that it's not a bad game- I've played Knights of the Old Republic II and liked it. I just wished they'd made some of the vehicles more original. Come on, the Ebon Hawk?
  11. As I see it, we have two options for a theme here- We could have normal minifig sets that have a few brickbuilt things such as spaceships, the RV maybe, or Kevin's car. But then there are Ben's aliens, which are the focal point of the show. I'm not sure how TLC could make the aliens into minifigs, but after seeing the new Space Police aliens I think it might be possible. However, it would still be very limited on what you could do with them, as many have multiple arms, wings, tails, and so on that you just can't do on a minifig. The other option is, of course, Galidor-ish sets, which seems the most likely to me. This way, Lego can do a better job with the aliens, and be able to produce the proportions better. I'd prefer to see standard minifig-sized sets, but seeing as the show is based entirely on oddly-proportioned alien superheroes/monsters, I can't see how TLC could pull of a decent copy of them. I've seen the show too, and it's not bad- exponentially better than most of the terrible garbage that Cartoon Network usually has, and is right up there with Clone Wars, Batman, and another new show, Secret Saturdays.
  12. While I may agree on some of the character designs, I have to ask: If you don't like it, why watch it? There's plenty other Star Wars stuff out there to watch, read, or play. Though maybe it was asked for since the name of the topic after all is "How did you like it".... I haven't gotten to see many, but from what I've seen, most of them are very obvious and highly dumbed down for the kids. I didn't know that they had people host the episodes, though. As for the lightsaber shadow, I read that somewhere, but I can't remember where. Sorry. But they had a reason, I think it was similar to holding a light bulb up in front of a brighter source of light, or something.
  13. A Tantive IV would be welcome- I missed out on the original UCS version, and I really don't feel like paying double the price for it on BL now. Here's to hoping!
  14. Wow, you guys look like you had a lot of fun. Legoland, contests, legoland, behind the scenes! Looks great. I'd love to go sometime, but unfortunately I live on the west coast of the U.S. so that'd be one heck of a pricey trip for a few days. Ah well, at least I can see how it went here. So, how was the hotel again?
  15. See, the problem with this is that you should actually have to have a Lego counterpart for it...
  16. Yep, it's Galidor all over again. Think of the other Ben 10 toys we've seen in commercials- they all feature snap-on arms and legs to the torsos... I thought TLC was slowing down with the licenses, but now this...? On the other hand, I wouldn't mind seeing a Lego Rustbucket RV.
  17. I don't care for the 6x6 tile either, mostly because it just says "cheap."
  18. I honestly don't get what you guys are complaining about. The figs are great- We get the great new king for a relatively cheap price, one of the newer soldier torsos (which I still don't have) and two different troll figs with different helmets and shields! I don't have them either... There aren't any fig clones in the set- the minifigure value in this set to me is great. I can get all the Castle figs I don't have in one $20 box. The chariot isn't that bad- we've had worse. It looks fairly royal in my opinion, and we get two large wheels out of the deal. My only complaint is that we could've used at least two horses.
  19. I wouldn't think so- A CW palpy with a scary face on a ship and no Jedi is hardly "Palpatine's Arrest."
  20. Eh, still not really sure about this. I was expecting an enclosed cabin, and the technic opening mechanism is an eyesore. The arch piece doesn't really fit well there, either. I think I'll save my money for Hyperspace Persuit and Galactic Enforcer.
  21. This set looks great. The figs are wonderful, the bunker doesn't look too bad, and we get two speeder bikes and the AT-ST, which is much, much better than the 2007 version- I never bought it since it just didn't seem right. The face was too long and the legs too short.
  22. Looks like a great set, I'll be sure to pick it up. But you know what's best about it? No fleshies! While the Rodian's torso may be a bit plain, It'll be nice to have some good aliens.
  23. Very nice review- sometimes verbal can be just as good as pics. Well, maybe not. Anyway, sounds like a good vehicle, though I don't like: -The open botton on the container -cockpit sounds difficult to reach. -No proper weapons for the Police or baddies. A flick-fire is not a weapon.
  24. But it is right below this thread.
  25. I thought Megablox might, but I don't know. Oh wait, that was Halo.... I would like to see a Lego theme out of this- we'd get some sweet new characters and torsos as well as some cool midi-sized ships in the form of the Enterprise.
