  1. None. I like my cereal cold and wet, just like my soul.
  2. Agreed, I really like the headshot vig.

    Dead End!

Thanks, guys! I had it on TV and it was set to 5". That's all I know... I'm not completely familiar wit hmy camera. indeed. Again, the tiara idea was not mine- It's from a photo on Flickr, and as soon as I find it I'll give credit.
  4. Nice find! I think the transport vehicle is pretty neat. It's similar to the one at the end of the movie, but smaller. It's got some cheese slopes and a control panel- at the very least, it's a neat part pack.

    Dead End!

I've been saving up for one. I've been using the one that came with the camera. Here's one of the first pics I took: See that blur above Obi?

    Dead End!

Sheesh. You're right, nothing special. Not sure why I posted it here... Oh well. Mostly an excuse to show off the official stickers use, especially the "danger" clone that I cut the sticker from a SP set. Also to see how many tan plates I have so I can work on something bigger. Plus, I felt I needed to post something since I never do. Yes, Rex is bald... but I don't really like showing the studs on head. It looks odd to me.
  7. Hi there! So I had some spare build time, and was curious to see how many tan plates I could rummage up. I started building, and ended up with this: Here we see Obi-Wan (decal by Vid), Rex, and an unnamed clone trapped behind a wall. Decals are cut-up official stickers. Side view. Droids, dead clones, etc. The technique of using the tiara for the head shot was inspired by a pic I saw on Flickr, which I can't find. If anyone knows who it was, please help! Overhead shot, with appropriate amount of gore. Overall, I'm kind of annoyed with the pictures I took. I had to do a lot of depth of field to get it in, and I didn't do so well with it. Not only was everything not in focus particularly well, there were all sorts of odd little blurs and small specks... I'm not sure what was going on. Anyone ever had this happen before? Any and all C&C welcome.
  8. Happy birthday! Hope you get something better than this:
  9. He can't, for two reasons. One, we can't show any pics that are preliminary. (or have the prelim stamp on them... or whatever.) The main reason is that the person who let him see them could get in serious trouble, or fired.
  10. Fortunately, my dog doesn't have this problem. In fact, she's never chewed on anything. After reading this topic, I guess I'm lucky. However, there was one instance where my cousin's dog chased my cat right through the LEGO, over table, etc., etc..... it wasn't pretty.
  11. Nice. I think my favorite bit was the garage sale bit. Did anyone catch all the different bathroom doors in the 'Secret Bad Guy Base'?
  12. Neat! It's always fun freezing stuff, and Indy turned out especially great!
  13. Couldn't they just use an old one?
  14. Thanks for the news, but: Ugghhhhh. I have Jango's Slave 1, and Boba's new Slave 1. I was really hoping to update my Jango... I don't see why TLC has to make a third ship for Boba when the last one was just fine? I loved it! Jango's, though, needs updating. 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack - No complaints here. I like Hoth troopers, but I'm not into Fleshie, so their heads will all have to be replaced. Oh well, at least there'll be a pilot. 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack - This is better. A good source of Snowtroopers, plus speeder bike. 8085 Freeco Speeder - It'll be interesting to see how TLC does this. I don't think they can pull it off without a new cockpit mold. 8087 TIE Defender - I'm not into TIEs, or starfighters, for that matter. Still, since I've been working on hanging some starfiighters from my ceiling, this will work perfectly. 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter - The old one had some flaws (holes underneath the cockpit), so I have no complaints. I look forward to seeing this. 8089 Wampa Attack - Wampaaaaaaaaa! I'm imagining Wampa plus Luke, and maybe some sort of wall and ceiling to hang Luke from. 8092 Luke's Landspeeder - Interesting.... Another landspeeder is always welcome to fill in parts of my base. I can only hope it'll be as good as Lars's is. A big plus if it comes with sandpeople or anything else. 8093 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter - Meh. See above comment for starfighters. I would buy this if it had a fig I didn't have, though I already have Plo Koon. If it's the same as previous Starfighters I'm not interested. 8095 General Grievous' Starfighter - Why? We only just had one a few years ago... 8096 Palpatine's Shuttle - Ooh. This sounds the most exciting. It'll probably be the same one as in the Original Trilogy, but if it's the Ep. III version, that's even better. Either way, it'll probably come with Palpy and some Red Guards! 8097 Slave I - Bah humbug. 8098 Clone Turbo Tank - I'm looking forward to this. The last one had some big flaws, and if it has a better interior, then I'm going for it. If it comes with Aayla and/or Bly/special clones, it's a no-brainer.
  15. Whoa. Even though it was all very impressive, I think my favorite part was the martial artists, and how they moved into pose after pose. Just think how long it must have taken to take apart and rebuild them to make a smooth movement from pose to pose. Just amazing.
  16. Too hard to decide, but here goes: Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter - By Dutchrebel (For being so much more awesome than my blue-and-white fighter. ) Snowspeeder Crash - By Kaitan Luke's Landspeeder - by Lars Emperor's Arrival - By Morten Imperial Shuttle - By Baronsat Randomly picked and in no particular order. There are a lot of good MOCs in there.
  17. Apart from the writing backwards, I was exactly the same. I read 20,000 Leagues at about the same age, but never read many of his novels apart from that. I even tried to read my dad's sailing novels... without much success. As for Dune.... I got it as a birthday gift but never read it. I suppose I really need to try it.
  18. I just read those last week. I love Airborn, Skybreaker is also good (though never as good as the original) and Starclimber I'm a little unsure about. I just don't think that going into space works so well for this series. PLus, most of the book is taken up by building up to the take-off. Also, the creatures aren't quite as believable or as in-depth as in the previous two. But, I'll let you decide. I'm also in the middle of re-reading everything in Brian Jacques' Redwall series. I haven't read those since sixth grade, but I enjoy them now just as much as I did then. I also got to catch up and understand some of the history behind the names. (I.E. Methuselah, Asmodeus, Cluny, etc...) and also some of the Latin names of the animals. (Gulo Gulo is the Latin name for Wolverine, which is a pretty great name for Gulo the Savage. ) I've also been reading Karen Traviss books. Her Star Wars Republic Commando novels are great, but I've only read bits of her other books.
  19. Of course we know the real reason boys like lego: Building it and then throwing it down the stairs to see how well it stays together. ... The very few girls that I know seem to like lego. Actually, they still have a little bit. When a small group of friends came over to watch V for Vendetta, one of these girl friends commented on how cool lego was now and built a little bit during the movie.
  20. I hope we'll be seeing products from the game. Maybe have sets that include codes for unlockables, etc. Heck, if we could have just one thing from this poster, I'd be happy.
  21. This happens to me occasionally, but it usually turns out that I did it wrong. There are a lot of those dark bley bricks... This may sound rude, but if those two parts are there, chances are they may have gotten switched. If you haven't already, really go through the instructions as to where you might have switched them.
  22. Well, I think you have two options. One, you could dump extra stuff into a box (carefully) and wait until you get the bigger house, or you could get as much shelf space as possible. It all really depends on when you plan to move to the bigger house.
  23. Sorry, I meant the print. It looks to be the same yellow as the shirt to me.
  24. Is it just me, or does his neck (EDIT: print) look yellow? Could be the light, but I hope not.
