GBW - Supporting the war effort - Bandaud - Patrol
TheBeeze replied to SATSOK's topic in The Great Brick War
You’ve been awarded ( 4 ) points. Judges’ comments… This is an awesome little build. It has a perfect balance of detail and simplicity about it. You can see the work that went into the detailing here with the variations on the ground and in the wall work up the stairs Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing! -
[GBW] - Solo Operation - Bandaud - Hit Back
TheBeeze replied to SATSOK's topic in The Great Brick War
Didn't realize I never posted your scores..... Here is the breakdown for your Solo Campaign Scores and feed back: Average for Build 1: 11 This build could have used a little more than a few plates on a base plate. I did appreciate the detail in the guard tower up top and the small bunker / fighting position. One thing that kind of stood out to me was the lighting in taking your pictures. Try to get a more natural look in outsider lighting if possible. Not a bad start to the solo builds. Average for Build 2: 13 The landscaping was a step up from the last build with the rock face/cliff. The ground itself seems a little bit random with the plates and things just scattered around. Could benefit from some plant life or different texturing styles. The big focus here is the truck, which looks great! Nice Job on that. my only compaint is I would have liked to have seen some more detailed shots of that at eye level, not top down. Keep up the work! Average for Build 3: 13 The aircraft is just excellent here. Super detail all around with it and cleartly very thought out. It is clearly the shining star of the build. However, that is kind of where the detail stops. The rest of the build was more or less thrown together to just showcase the aircraft. Your first few pictures did nothing really other than show minifigs so I wasn't sure what I was looking at until the end. Still though, you did an excellent job on the bird. Total Overall Score: 12 Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing! -
Post a link to the real world item you're referring to as I'm not familiar.

Please post in all old builds that are missing scores. Apologies on missing them. -
GBW - Supporting the war effort - Bandaud - Terrorists at the port

Please relabel this like your other side builds, only the main campaign build should have the description that is listed in the instructions. Build looks great! -
I imagine you are referring to making vehicles? Assuming that's the case, if I'm preparing for a large scale build and need to make a range of vehicles I usually wind up brick linking what I need. It winds up being drastically cheaper than parting out sets.

Minifigcat Modular Gear Series Within the past year or so Minifigcat has released a new modular line of gear for everyone's favorite minifigs. The shot above shows all of the pieces with the exception of a holster which goes across the chest of plate carrier. I have not purchased one simply due to the fact that it looks very impractical, but maybe this works for you. The rigs include two different cut plate carriers (which differ only in terms of the cut and looks) and a chest rig. Pouches include a small row of GP pouches, medium ammo/gp pouches, AR mag pouches with mag tops exposed, SMG mag pouches with mags exposed. The small GP pouch is a later addition to the series which can be used on the top row ONLY of attachment points. Interesting thing to note is how the rigs are all curved along the chest by the attachment points. Each mag pouch is also curved but they can be split apart (its permanent so be sure you want to split them) in half so you can mix and match an array of mags and GP pouches. Also, the attachment points are very tiny and could be susceptible to breakage if you continually put things on and off of them. I would be cautious in removing pouches once you put them on. However, they are literally a dry fit and very snug and secure once on. All of the rigs are available in several different colors. The pouches, while also having several colors to choose from, oddly are not available in all of the same colors. It's easy to pick something that matches up nicely. Below you will see the back side of each rig. The chest rig does not offer a stud for backpack attaching. I also wanted to add in the new assault pack they've added which is a huge step up from their old version in terms of size and attachment. It is a hard plastic unlike the old rubbery type. They also designed this pack with the modulars in mind as you can see in picture 2 that there are small notches cut out so the packs can fit over the attachment points on the rigs. Overall this is a great addition to the arsenal of any military builder who is looking to make their minifigs look just a little bit more realistic. They've also priced all of these pieces at a smart value which turns out to be cheaper than some of the NON Modular rigs they offer. Head over to their website and check them out! UPDATE 7/8/21 About a month back they sent me what looked like a few prototypes of these pouches and they were not available on their website until the following month. Minifigcat has updated their line of modular gear accessories and included 3 new pouches: Open Top Triple Mag Pouch Closed Triple Mag Pouch The Third pouch appears to be modular butt pack of some kind. Unfortunately it is not labeled well on their website. Glad to see them furthering this platform. Ah no problem, we're hoping to start reeling people back in while welcoming new people like yourself. So there is no "precontext" beyond what is posted here. Phase 2 is largely very different from 1 considering the Map is completely different. Some players carried over their initial characters and governments. If there is nothing really about your country, you can create it. It's your country so make it your own. As far as WMDs go, they are very rarely referenced. They do exist, but are not permitted in the game. There was a campaign some time ago where players had to find biological weapons. This is a topic we try and avoid because it can quickly ruin the game for everyone. Good questions!

Operation Valiant Sweep -1/16/20 - 3/9/20 The Brick World is in a grave state of being. After a recent Brick of Nations Joint Task Force mission dubber Operation Hornet's Nest failed to complete all of it's objectives, the Global Liberation Army attacked the BON Headquarter Building reducing it to rubble and inflicting mass casualties. World leaders have met in private to discuss the eradication of this group and are now ready to act. The international intelligence community has put it's head together to try and share information in hopes of getting this mission accomplished. It has been discovered that the GLA has prescence in virtually every country on the map presently, in some cases much larger than others. Building Instructions: You are to create a build showing a team in your country discovering a GLA cell within your borders and eliminating them. It is completely your descretion what the environment is (public locations, hidden base they have, etc). ALL PLAYERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO USE TAGS ON FLICKR FOR THEIR PHOTOS AND TO ADD THEIR PHOTOS TO THE GREAT BRICK WAR FLICKR GROUP TO SPREAD AWARENESS ON THE GAME! Upon completion, players must also post a link to their build in the AAR Thread as well letting the judges know that it is eligible for scoring. Scoring will be worth a maximum of 10 Points a Piece. Welcome! Yes you can still join, we have room to add anyone at any time. I've gone ahead and added you to our player index. The country you've picked has been in the middle of quite the recent turn of events so you might want to poke around at the recent news stories as well as looking at recent builds to get an idea of the current climate of the game. You're free to start building whenever you want. Good luck!

Operation Hornet's Nest - Mission 1 - Part 2 - Boombing ????

You’ve been awarded (7) points. Judges’ comments… It is clear a lot of time went into this build. There is detail galore. I really liked the gas in the back of the truck. That was a nice touch. It looks like you stopped short of your objective though. A full facility image would have been good here. A lot of the images were very close up that did not allow for the full structure to be appreciated. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing! -
You’ve been awarded (8) points. Judges’ comments… This was small and to the point. Given the time restraints you did a good job. Very much a fan of the tank and the way you conquered the angles on the turret. One more picture of something happening might have helped you a bit a but this was a great step up for you! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!

You’ve been awarded (8) points. Judges’ comments… The structure of your building and the way it comes apart is very nicely done. I also really liked the way you did the munition storage dumps outside. Presentation was top notch and really showed off all aspects. Nicely done! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!

You’ve been awarded ( 6 ) points. Judges’ comments… Very quality build as we've come to expect from you. Like the building and the way you tied the overall build structure into the elevation with the tunnels and the water. I fear the detail with the time contraints slowed you down a bit. You were docked for lateness, otherwise this would have been damn near perfect. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!

(GBW) Phase 2 - Information & General Discussion
TheBeeze replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Great Brick War
As some of you know, there is work under way to revamp the way some things around here go. I am considering a change to the game as well and would appreciate some feedback and ideas. I am considering doing away with the scoring structure completely in favor of doing something else but not quite sure what yet. Scoring has been one of the biggest sore spots of our game so I'm open to ideas to alleviate this issue. Also, Happy New Year to all of you! -
This is place where you can post up shots of your military based minifigs (whether real or imaginary). Whether it is a single minifig or an entire army, all are welcome! To get us started, here is a group shot of the first wave of minifigs I did for Falklands War build.
