  1. WELCOME TO BBN! The Brick Built News Channel Your Hosts for the evening (in order): Brick Johnson, John Studley, and Phil Brickman This is the place where staff members will create story lines and show events that are taking place in the brick world. Players will need to keep an eye on this thread as events may be covered that affect their country. These News Casts are independent of side builds and staff members will not receive points for any of these.
  2. Storyline will be revealed Friday. Also, those who have earned solo campaigns from the last round can apply for them on Friday as well.
  3. Just wanted to give everyone a little update. We are looking to launch phase II within the next 2 weeks. Keep your eyes here.
  4. You're not blind. They have been removed as we've been updating the post in the background with the rules for phase 2.
  5. Anything that carried over from the previous phase has been turned into a Solo campaign which is worth more points and gives you a little more to do with more flexibility. The rules on solo campaigns are not going to be changing much from last round, just no one capitalized on one to make it worth while. Each one is custom tailored to the player and their situation.
  6. Update: We currently show the following people have earned these specific things for phase 2. Please confirm and if we missed anyone, please speak up! @ODA 401 - 1 Solo Campaign @Faladrin - 1x Solo Campaign @sigpro- 1x Solo Campaign @paintballman- 2x Solo Campaign

  20. You’ve been awarded (9) points. Judges’ comments… So a few points to take away here. This is definitely your best build so far. Great Job! This terrain work here is just solid all around. I am in agreement with the other judge in that, there may be a little too much going on but thats not always a bad thing. Another interesting thing I've really noticed with your builds is the changes in minifigs and gear over time which has gotten more and more detailed. You've restructured your photography to really showcase all aspects of your build. Excellent work sir and can't wait to see what you bring to phase 2! I think you may have one biggest build for all of Phase I! Just looking at the initial overview shot of this gargantuan build, great job with detail. You went with Tosul's training facility, maybe add a little bit more related to the training facility? I see a fantastic landscape for a battle, but not really enough to tell me this is where troops train. It's super detailed, multi levels of terrain, with detail, and loaded with troops. There is almost too much going on...almost. For a build this size, photography can be tricky. It's easier if you have a large open location to shoot pics, but if not... Overall though, you did a good job with what you had! That solid background is a huge asset to your build, glad you used it; kept me focused on your build, nothing else. I really love that initial overview shot with the path going up the mountain on the right side of your build. Great job PBM! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  21. You’ve been awarded (8) points. Judges’ comments… You gave yourself no credit in your after post and failed to utilize some of your best assets in the build. You did a great job with your build and I thought everything was very unique. The buildings and little connex boxes were a nice touch. It was obvious you were tired and done when you went to take your pictures as you could have done a lot more here in terms of minifigs and story. Overall, exceptional building as always! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  22. You’ve been awarded (6) points. Judges’ comments… I'll start by saying I was a little disappointed when I opened up your thread to see the same terrain as has been done over and over again with just a variation in color. You gotta work on that next round, even if it means scaling down your builds I know you can do it as you have definitely shown you have the ability to do real detailed work. With that, the highlight for me was definitely the extremely unconventional fence work. I've never seen anything like that before and thought that was a great concept. Nice creativity, In no way did I get the feel that there was a religious mission storing weapons anywhere, other than what you told us, and this was part of the requirement for this build. The fence was a creative idea, but thats all there really was regarding a seperated area of property. As for a depot storing weapons, it felt very bare; maybe a few more crates or something showing more supplies? Once again, your terrain looks exactly like your other terrains...gotta try to change those up. WOW, that's a lot of 1x8 medium blue bricks! I am slightly jealous of that. Your pictures weren't too bad, but ALL of them were taken from the exact same spot, or at least very close to the same spot, which gave us no variety in the shots or ability to see any other angles of your build. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  23. You’ve been awarded (7) points. Judges’ comments… From what I can see here, you did a great job. The action shots look good and the detailing work around your trench looks awesome. But the problem is we can only see so much and its not a lot. Would have liked to have seen more of this a and overall shot to display the entire build. So the requirement for a Nak-Hu related build was to include a weapons depot at a religious mission. You seem to have left out the mission and it's depot? The terrain is all over the place and that is wicked awesome! I see the team looking down into a ravine, engulfed with plant life and rockwork. I would have liked to have seen an overhead view or overall shot of your build. I think your build is a minimum of 16x16 studs, but I cannot tell 100% certain.Your pictures are fantastic; you got right up in there and grabbed some great shots! I actually had to go looking for the background as I was so pulled into the action shots. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  24. You’ve been awarded (9) points. Judges’ comments… Wow. I don't even think I need to comment here. Stellar work. The goal was a weapons depot inside a religious mission in Nak-Hu, and that's exactly what you created. The layout wasn't an expansive build, but just the right size to litter with details. I thought the terrain around the mission was great, varied color and elevation changes all done in steps. Quite a story to tell as well with so many different characters involved...but I guess that's what happens when a government lets the criminals in and doesn't check up on them...they need to call the CoST for assistance. Pictures weren't bad, a few that were off on lighting, but you called that out. Your Wiesel reminds me of a Paladin, nice build. Great build! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  25. You’ve been awarded (7) points. Judges’ comments… The snowmobile and the tree are definitely the high points of this build. Though small, you did fit a good amount of detail in here, I especially liked your terrain detailing with the snow. This felt a little rushed and we know you are definitely capable of more, still a solid effort. I liked all of the snow details, the different angles, the 2 colored skis on the snowmobile, and the tree which looks familiar from a tutorial in the Castle forum. I think for a Campaign build, I would have liked to see a bit more (larger) from you. I know you wanted this to be based on a training facility in Tosul, but I really don't see the connection, other than some soldiers and you telling us, this was part of the build requirements. Your pictures are good, a solid color, contrasting color backdrop is so important and you've proven that here. A few sections of some pics were a bit darker than planned, but live and learn. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
