  1. Bumping this up as I had to reopen it.
  2. The vents just scream Goldeneye N64 at me. NICE!
  3. You’ve been awarded ( 5 ) points. Judges’ comments… This was just great! I got nothing! You made a beautiful scene, both versions, and laid down some amazing details, both on the shore and in the water. The pictures were solid, the water looks to flow...great job on this. Exactly how a sidebuild should be, not too big, not too small, yet loaded with everything it needs. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  4. We will be doing these soon.
  5. Just translated, it's a little choppy but very cool idea.
  6. It is really quiet. I just want to reiterate that there are SEVERAL Solo OPs out to people awaiting completion before we can start moving forward. Hope everyone is well!
  7. You’ve been awarded (3) points. Judges’ comments… This was a great little pocket sized build that had a little bit of everything. I was particularly a fan of texturing on the floor. If anything stood out to me with this as a potential point to look at for the future would be how square everything is. It looks like it could have benefited from some features to break up the squareness.Solid Job overall. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  8. You've passed your mission. You’ve been awarded (6) points. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  9. Nice to see you again my friend!
  10. Secretary General of the Brick of Nations, Curtis Larkin Ladies and gentlemen, I come to you tonight with an announcement. The countries who came forward after my last announcement here dispatched teams of their best and were lead to slaughter. Is there no country willing to bring those responsible for this global wave of violence to their knees? We are, yet again, seeking new volunteer nations to join our task force to put this to an end- Alsarh and Deland Republic are excused from this commitment. The BoN Security Council has promised to act favorably on behalf of those nations who put in the commitment. All nations that are interested in joining this task force have 48 hours to respond by declaring intent here. Further instructions to follow.
  11. YOU HAVE PASSED THIS MISSION AND EARNED 5 POINTS.
  12. YOU HAVE PASSED THIS MISSION AND EARNED 5 POINTS.
  13. Yes, but like I said prior too many people were complaining about time restraints the last round and also having the game less dependent on Admin influence. It's like the saying goes "Be careful what you wish for" haha. We'll see how things start progressing.
  14. Just a little update: We are a little slow on the staff side right now. I personally just got back from an Extended vacation in Alaska (that's the other side of the country for those who don't know). SO I'm just catching up. There are going to be a few random things popping up so keep your eyes open. Lastly, a lot of you currently have Solo Missions to complete. I know we removed time restrictions, but some of you have really had them a while. This inadvertently will hold up our story line time line of events if you take forever. The game literally runs on you guys right now.
  15. You’ve been awarded ( 2 ) points. Judges’ comments… Let me start by saying that the pictures are definitely improving. Still far from perfect but glad to see you're working on it. This was an interesting little build. For some reason it really stood out to me as a reminder of the ambush scene in Rogue One on Jedha. Overall, there was a decent amount of detail here. I liked the idea of running the different gray colors through the boat for the old school camo look. Only thing I'd suggest with that is to maybe round off the boat a little bit as it looked a little bit boxy. Nie job! First, lemme say pics needed some work. Good solid dark background is fine, but those shots really needed some more light. And be sure to keep the light above as it will reduce shadows and dark spots. As for the build...Solid level of effort here, and good details. I think with a ship of that scope, if it were to be close to the shore, then I guess there really wouldn't be a sandy coast, but more a straight drop from the pier. Those boats aren't exactly done at the water line right? But, I really liked how cramped and crazy the scene on the dock/street was! lot's of people, lot of detail going on there. Good job! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  16. You’ve been awarded ( 3 ) points. Judges’ comments… I wasn't sure if the crane was supposed to be on tracks or if it was just so heavy that it destroyed the concrete path, either way great detail! That boat is crazy! I would assume it has to stop it''s forward movement to fire of the torpedos? Overall, I think this build felt a lil thin, but I'm trying to figure out what else I would have added to make it look fuller...The pics are getting cleaner, maybe add another light source to attempt to eliminate the shadows that appear, otherwise try to photograph outside. Excellent build! You have great detail spread evenly through out. I can see you put a lot of careful time and consideration into the design on your boat. It looks great. The land and dock are simple and small but it works. Great side build! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  17. A few points based on what you guys have written and of course we can have an open discussion on this as I always welcome the feedback. 1. The biggest complaint I received from the last phase was that people wanted the game to be more player run and have the ability to do whatever you want. We've done that. You can literally do a build on anything like @paintballman said. Go invade another country if you want. 2. We are still not done with the map as we are constantly breaking down the map to send out more detailed country maps but as you can imagine, these take a ridiculous amount of time to create. 3. The Solo Campaigns are being carefully written for each player / country. Similar to when we started the game the first time, we are setting the stage with a clean slate. Developing situations that involve multiple countries takes time. But I can assure you, if you look carefully at the solo campaigns, you will see the foundations of overlap starting to happen. Things are going to heat up but this is also dependent on when people finish these builds. Another large complaint we had last time was that people had trouble with the time restrictions. So far, those have been removed from the solo campaigns in hopes people take the time to produce quality builds. We will have a large campaign within 2 months or so for everyone. We have scaled those down in frequency. A lot of players have enough points to purchase solo campaigns but have not done so yet. 4. The drop in players- All of the players who dropped out of our game stated it was due to other commitments. If you look at some of those players, they haven't really been active on Eurobricks at all so I don't really see that as something we can control. There has not been a large influx of new players either. That is a 2 part problem 1. Advertising perhaps on my part and 2. Online flickr presence from the rest of you. We got a lot of players from Flickr last time. I have not seen too much activity on there lately so as you guys make your builds, be sure to tag the Great Brick War, add links, join the group, etc. There are several players who are here, actively participating in conversation, but not building anything for whatever their reasons. That doesn't help either.
  18. Secretary General of the Brick of Nations, Curtis Larkin We would like to thank Alsarh and DeLand Republic for answering the call in time. Standby for your assignments, they will be sent over shortly.
  19. Secretary General of the Brick of Nations, Curtis Larkin Ladies and gentlemen, I come to you tonight with an announcement. Over the course of the last three weeks, law enforcement & government military forces from countries around the globe have reported several incidents of brutal slayings occurring in their cities and on their lands. Under normal circumstances this would be left local governments to handle, but we have seen enough troubling evidence to indicate this is an international incident requiring international support. The brick of nations is asking for countries to join a Task Force we are creating with hopes of finding the force responsible for these killings and bringing this to an end. The Task Force will be lead by Commander Mike Harrigan. Commander Harrigan was formerly a Lieutenant in the Lost Angels Police Department in Filace serving with distinction for 15 years before joining the ranks of the Brick of Nations peace keeping forces. Commander Harrigan is pictured below. All nations that are interested in joining this task force have 48 hours to respond by declaring intent here. Further instructions to follow. 20. Sorry for the delays guys, I've been prepping for a convention for this weekend.
  21. I'm assuming the intelligence officer is the one with the shades on and no magazine in his weapon? hahaha Nice Job! PM me if you're ready for your next part of the mission.
  22. Love the Bolt Cutters on the table haha. And yes, what PBM said, no Geneva. Can always discuss these things in the brick of nations.
  23. You’ve been awarded ( 4 ) points. Judges’ comments… Excellent build. Absolutely loved this one. You did a great job adding just the right detail here to make the little things pop and make me look into the images. Presentation is top notch, great pictures! Keep it up! I have 2 things about this build. The first one, the lighting was a lil lower than perfect. That big dark line that runs through the background seam shows on the underside of the platform. Shadows are ok, heavy shadows are rough. The other concern is the extremely flat land. Unless it's concrete, give it some bumps...even if they are super minor. The olive green plate just looks like heavier clumps of grass/weeds. Be sure they are in the base tone (green). Otherwise, FANTASTIC WORK here!!! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  24. You’ve been awarded ( 1 ) points. Judges’ comments… Okay this build is being scored down because it continues to follow the trend with the images not showing us the whole build. We need to see more of your builds in order to be able to give you more points. We know you wanna play the game but slow down a bit and focus on one build at a time. As the room with the wooden planks is an underground entrance to a bunker, I don't see the walls indicating this. As you say, both were photographed for ease...problem is if the first one is scored poorly for the photos, the second one will most likely be scored the same. You really want to treat each build individually, even if they are tied together in a narrative you are working to create. We would really like 1 overview shot of the entire build. This can give us a full shot in case there are minimum build requirements so we can check to make sure you completed the instructions. Slow down, use plenty of detail, light the build a lil better and take many photos to see what works best. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
