  1. Thank you very, very much for your prompt reply! That's exactly what I was looking for.
  2. Beautiful MOCs! Like deraven, I'm especially fond of your Da fleet. As I had to struggle a bit with the lettering of my own Swedish loco, please let me ask: What font did you use for the numbers?
  3. Very impressive! I admittedly haven't much understanding of that aspect of railroading, but that only increases my respect for people like you who are able to conceive such devices!
  4. Thank you, Duq ! For the moment, no. As I mentioned above, my space is limited, and there are still other models I want to build... Besides, the doors are quite pricey in some colours.
  5. Thank you very much! Good to know we've acquired two more train lovers... And welcome to EB, Ben! I'd love to see more details of that BR 44 in your avatar!
  6. Problem fixed. Thank you!
  7. It's working here on the same computer now. Only a temporary issue, it seems. But I just notice that when you quote someone, the headline "... ago, XXX wrote" isn't there anymore, so it's hard for other readers to see who wrote the original post.
  8. Same for me. And my old problem has reappeared: E-mail notifications don't work.
  9. Thank you very much, Asper and Man with a hat ! I had no choice - the doors and hinges were never produced in DBG... But I like it, too, for it gives the car a slightly weathered appearance. As for the buffers, please read my explanation here (last paragraph of the post).
  10. Thank you, BricksMcgee ! At the moment, there's just a video of the locomotive for which the freight car was built. You can find it in my Bricksafe folder. I'll shoot a video of the whole train when the next wagon is finished.
  11. I WANT IT!!! This is a glorious and affectionate tribute to four of the greatest musicians in history (says one who was born six years after the Beatles' split-up)!
  12. Thanks a lot, guys (btw: do we have ladies here in the Train Tech forum?)! You're too kind, Emanuele! Well, I've plenty of ideas for further models, but I'm beginning to run out of space for display and storage... I knew you would be happy! Unfortunately, the doors (or, more precisely, the hinges' attachments to the sides) are by far the wobbliest parts of the whole car, so they don't add much in terms of playability. Perhaps I should take some glue... As for the 'Empire Builder', yes, I've seen it before. But while I acknowledge that it's technically brilliant, I admit that I don't like the whole steampunk story very much. Too much Jules Verne fiction for my taste.
  13. Beautiful work! Despite being only 7 studs wide, it looks very well-proportioned and detailed. The color scheme is very handsome, too. To attach all those handrails must have been quite a pain...
  14. Hi everyone, of course, my Swedish tank engine needs some adequate rolling stock, so I designed two different types of cars in 1/33 scale: a four-axle passenger coach, which should be finished in ca. 10-14 days; and the open, two-axle freight car presented here. The model is lettered as no. 1 of a fictional museum railway, which uses the wagon for bicycle transport: As usual, larger pictures and the lxf are available on Bricksafe. When I have completed the passenger car, I will make a video of the whole museum train, too. Hope you like it! Best regards, Sven Edit: Videos now available here!
  15. A thousand thanks to you admins who got the site running quite well again in such a short time! Many of the major issues already seem to be fixed - most important for me, the pictures in the Train Tech forum are back! Hooray!!! But there are still some odd things... For example, the topics' view count (in the Forum topics list) doesn't change when I read a post, not even after reloading the Forum list... ? ?
  16. No...um... ...unless you like it! Good answer... But, to be honest: No, I don't like it... Two more issues: When I edit an older post and save it without further changes, the images reappear, as described above. But emoticons in the text still aren't displayed. Do I have to fix it manually, or will the automatic script do this? And some (but, strangely, not all) pictures now have a thin gray frame around them, which does not look very good when the photos were taken against a neutral white background.
  17. First, I'd like to thank all of you moderators and admins who spend so much time to keep this forum running. IMHO, Eurobricks is by far the best LEGO forum on the web (and, generally, that one with the best manners) - that's why I'm posting here and not in a native-language forum. One thing that I noticed after the update: I cannot see the members' signatures until I have signed in. Is that intentional?
  18. Not my style of living, but a fantastic MOC! Should be these parts.
  19. Very, very cool! (albeit much too uncluttered for a scientist's workplace... ) What parts did you use for the wheels of the trolley and the chair (which is gorgeous, btw)?
  20. Thanks a lot, baard ! By the way: Of course, every locomotive needs a train to pull… Matching waggons for the M3a are under construction and should be ready by mid-October (though gathering certain parts proves to be a bit difficult). Stay tuned!
  21. (A bit) better, yes. But still somewhat odd, IMHO. The positioning of the headlights reminds me more of an Austin Healey Sprite Mk. I than a Caterham... And that yellow brick in a place where the front suspension should be is abysmal. I was really looking forward to that set when it was announced, but sorry, in this form I won't buy it.
  22. Very, very beautiful. The stickers and the bogies are great! How do you keep the bent hose for the handrail in place? I would have expected that it pops off from the last clip. Is there some wire inside?
  23. Hello everyone, garden railway manufacturer LGB has just announced a G-scale waggon chassis (narrow gauge, 45 mm track width) compatible "with the blocks of well-known manufacturers available in most toy stores", as they say: Link to company's website Seems to be quite simple, but perhaps it could be a start for a real LEGO garden railway movement...
  24. What a funny idea! And a very neat build. Love the guitar!
  25. And I already thought that I'm the only one who thinks that this thing looks quite ill-proportioned... While being very excited when the Caterham was announced, I'm rather disappointed now, too. Should also start bricklinking... Hopefully the Saturn V won't get messed up like this...
