AoM: Storehouse: Phase 2: Daydelon Warehouse
KlodsBrik replied to soccerkid6's topic in Guilds of Historica
Wow ... Arent you a busy FOL. Yet another MOC with your own style to it. Love the rounded roof. And i also love the fact that you keep the architecture the same. Already mentioned how i feel about your ice edge texture technique. ( ) If anything your interior could be improved. But dont get me wrong. The overall impression from the last three builds ive seen from you are just stunning ! If you worked a bit more on the interior, i would give you god like status ! Once again another MOC from you i will be thinking of for ages !- 22 replies

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...
KlodsBrik replied to The Kid's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yeah, the "unpolished" feel to it is to me all about budget. But from the beginning, this series isnt about special effects at all ( even though it would probably attract an bigger audience ). But as you say, it grows on one. The big thing is as you somewhat points out yourself is about the story itself, and the relationship between The Doctor and his companions. About human feelings and putting one self aside for the bigger issues at hand. For love and friendship. The later seasons, from season 8-9, it seem that a bigger budget have been layed out and the effect have gotten a lot better, however imo, the directors have never lost focus on the real deal about what and why DW is an succes. The focus is still on telling stories about humans ( well, aliens as well ) bonding for the better. To keep it short. Yeah effects have become a lot better. Now you say it, that might be true. They have just become better with the production, scene setup, lightning and so. -
This is quite a cool microbuild. Youve managed to get a lot of details out of some interesting pieceusage. Im usually not browsing the SW forum a lot, so im glad i came by this MOC. Well done !

[WIP - LDD - MOC] 16x32 "Affordable" Ghostbusters HQ
KlodsBrik replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Licensed
The windows looks better but i feel that the space between the tiles next to them looks odd now. Maybe move the windows even more to make room for two studs between the tiles next to the window will look more appropriate ? Yet, its taking shape. -

This is just gorgeous. Lovely textures and techniques all over the place. Wish i could turn into ABS and shrink myself to go on a long vacation to this castle. That ice technique for the edge of it looks stunning. I might just borrow it ! Awesome MOC !!

Its all very random and seems like average spam as other websites experience. Sometime the flow of spam aint to hostile, sometime it is. As i offcourse dont have acces to IP data and email i wont be able to calculate on that, and they prolly use proxies as well . The only pattern i do se is that it does seem to be actual people creating the spam as its most likely to occour when no mods or admins are online. Still it could be that even though when im here ( which is pretty much all the time when in front of my laptop ) its getting deleted faster than i can observe, does look like its posted when no "reds" are online. To top it, which is probably only a matter of making it look legal, mostly their nicks are english. Bet it wouldnt be profitable to post all this sh*t if one lives in Europe unless its ones own company. My 50cent so far.

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave
KlodsBrik replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Licensed
My first thought was actually The Doctor and the Master as a Single pane funnies, showing The Doctor and Missy with a thinking bubble above The Doctors head saying: His really a dick, where that brick should be photoshopped in it offcourse. If i had the time for it right now i would be making it. -
I only get to your flickr, not the ideas pressing your picture.

Hahaha ... Im not a pervert, but have already been thinking of several builds it could be usefull for -
Just realised that this will be showen on danish television TV2 in 10 minutes. Sorry for upping, but it just might be someone in Scandinavia or elsewhere have acces to this channel and wants to watch it as much as i do ! EDIT: Watched it and i liked it. As its based on TLG offcourse they couldnt focuse on "us" to much. As much as they mentioned AFOL´s several times, it was more about how the corporation works toward their goal of expanding and getting every child to be part of this love for LEGO as we all share. I do feel that the show was accurate, i do feel that they did get as much info out as possible throughout those "few" minutes it lasted. I loved the part about how LEGO should be considered to be a cult, a religion, a family or an philosophy. Its something we ourselve choose. Personally, ever since i got involved with EB and some other sites some 5-6 years ago after my stepson wanted some LEGO for his birthday and i found this whole community, i lurked for some time just to se how this was not like most other communities on the internet. I do really honestly consider this to be like a family. There is not so much megablocks going around in the LEGO community as one will find on many other franchise sites. Mostly people are backing each other up. Giving new ideas and are kind to each other. Thats also the reason why i myself found a new love with LEGO. Besides the freaking adrenalin rush of building something that i myself felt was awesome ! I liked the show and can only advise others to watch it as well. (2nd EDIT: ) ROFL ... MegaBlocks

Ive been looking at every possible DW MOC that ive come across for the last many many years, as well as ive been making DW Builds myself. And im sad to say that the solution for the weeping angels in the LEGO Ideas set is probably the closest we get. That said im satisfied for exactly the above mentioned reason. Dont think that there is other pieces that will make them look better than they already does. Some custom decals or custom pieces would be the solution to go for in order to improve them. Having looked through several pictures im pretty sure its reddish brown.

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave

As great as this set looks, and the pieces here are just lovely. I do feel that the price is a pulldown. Im not gonna get this. But it does look gorgeous indeed. I so love the picture with the house facade and the other modules attached. -
This is looking quite good. And huge it is ! Your colour choice for the castle walls looks great, so does the huge area outside the castle. I can se youve made a "lightbox" with paper sheets. Cant even begin to imagine how much paper has gone into this. Great MOC indeed !

Lovely MOC. The snow on the baseplate is looking really good, but as already said that wall technique is looking even better. The overall tower is gorgeous. Then their is the vegetation, the little path and the tree with snow. This is looking really really beautiful. I love it !

A nice little place to hangout. The compilation with the little beach, capturing the wooden fortress walls and the sea works very well. Great work indeed.

This build is lovely. The cottage. The ice. The ice hole. Really brings back some cold ( yet warm ) memories when i went ice hole bathing in norway. Putting those round tiles in between the gaps of the christmas trees works quite well. Great MOC !

Awesome underwater terrain MOC. The way you have attached the surface to give the illusion of being both ontop and under water is working really well. Also a lot of nice details and touches all over the place. Love it ! -
Great part usage. Using these pins as texture is looking really cool. As does the whole MOC. The vegetation is offcourse seen before, but it works really well with your cottage. I definately like it !

Great builds. I really like the look of the landing site. Great colours and details. -
These are both looking very cool. I especially like micro build of the MantaRay. The baseplate for them is also lovely. Simple yet does its job. Great work.

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare - Figures

This has turned into an awesome collection. They are all looking fantastic. My favorite must be the Chomper. Great sculpturing for such little characters. Love them! -
This MOC is lovely. Simple yet effective. I so love how youve broken its "borders" instead of making a regular square or similar baseplate, as well as how the wall is "broken" up. That works really well. Great job !

When you get the chance to read them. Do it !!! ... To me they are the best SciFi books ever. Even thought the first four are so old. David Gerrold have this insane ability to predict the evolution of technology ! But hopefully not the Cthoor´s invasion ( spoiler )
