  1. I assumed the same thing when I started building mine, I can't recall the other two but they are easy to miss when flicking through the PDF quickly.
  2. I think they are used around the light brick stage - on a quick scan through 4 are used in step 343. The cockpit (assuming using the Lego canopy piece) uses black modified headlight pieces for the transparent cheese wedges (744 and 754).
  3. https://www.brickfanatics.com/more-lego-price-rises-on-the-way-in-2022/ https://brickset.com/article/68657/[europe]-new-year-brings-new-prices! "According to a statement published by the LEGO Group in September, these price changes are being implemented to ‘make RRP pricing more consistent across different countries [in Western Europe] from 2022’, and that ‘the final price charged to shoppers is set by retailers, not the LEGO Group’."
  4. You won't regret it.
  5. Its a great build, the odd frustration is always outweighed by the enjoyment of it coming together and then the clever little sub builds which then bring it together so well.
  6. I know from my build of Jerac's Razor Crest (see the thread above this one) which I did in flat silver/metallic silver/PDG etc that a lot (even most) of the Lego Flat Silver curved pieces have injection marks - the pearl dark grey marks are also quite noticeable close up.
  7. Paying for the instructions for this bad boy was worth every penny and them some....so you make your own choice and go with it..
  8. As stated by the designer Jerac himself, its a sub-par model knocked off with issues in the version of the build that will be unique to the MK build - anything not Lego tends to get a rather poor response on this forum (its a Lego forum after all) so I don't think you will get a lot of support/advice if you buy it, and there is always that risk with the non Lego brands that even the picture you buy from is nothing like what you get when the bags arrive (Space Eagle 1999 I fess up to you). So whilst buying the official instructions does give Jerac an element of recompense, the issue will be for you how useful and correct those instructions will actually prove to you with the MK model. Not having the cash really sucks - especially on such iconic models such as Jeracs RZ, but I would council patience and see if your able to save up over time - other than the cockpit (which you can build using an alternative brick solution) I don't see any of the parts needed going away from availability any time soon (unlike some of the mocs which suck up limited old parts stock and then thats it or they go crazy nut prices). My thoughts - you make your decision and be comfortable with it. The Jerac model does have some little foibles as all MOCs do, but this baby is so worth it and even now every time I walk into my office and see it it makes me smile - worth waiting and doing right it you can. There are some scary looking gaps and changes for sure.
  9. Ah right, I suspect pushing the cargo door in has probably done the same to mine and I just never noticed it! Other than a once over once finished I have only had it on display (other than the many engine front changes) so have never tried opening the cargo doors since then.....
  10. Step 445? Do you mean the doors are not flush or the pipe is not fully flush in the clips? I don't recall it being a problem either way - assuming the pipe/clip not being flush I did not notice if it isn't. See what other folks came across.
  11. Not sure this is in the right forum - is this for the SB bomber?
  12. I have v8.4 - I bought 8.1 and found out there was an update so re-downloaded the newer version. I don't know if v8.4 is till the latest. Sorry there is at least v8.4 available - see page 5 on the thread.
  13. By the time your done the carcass of 75292 will look like the Jawa had their wicked way with it....
  14. Good luck - its a shame they don't let you upload a list or save WIP orders - I understand its to stop BL and similar other bulk sellers and the like, but it sure would be helpful!
  15. Plus Lego BnP is one flat S&H fee if you order in one go - admittedly it will take longer than most UK based BL sellers but I found it a lot cheaper for a lot of the bulk parts. Yes the official canopy is not cheap, but then last year it was over £40 in the UK when Lego was OofS of the RZ I'm not surprised with that number for new parts, I parted out my original RZ and had about a third of the pieces plus went down the used path.
  16. Good luck and do share how you get on.
  17. Hi TK, Once Jerac has sent over the parts list it may be worth you also checking Legos BnP service for some of the larger volumes given the variations of UK sellers to some parts of the EU and NA markets. Back in about page 7/8 a few of us UK folks shared some costs/experiences on parts etc. I've copied my post on BL v's BnP below as it may be useful, especially if your going down the new piece path. As a fellow UK'er, I found back in Feb a number of parts cheaper on BnP than BL. Including; Ingot - price and volume in LBG Plate 1/3 with 2 knobs - price and volume in LBG Bow 2 x4 - price and volume in LBG Plate 1x2 rounded no 1 - - price and volume in Black Roof tile lattice - - price and volume in LBG Roof tile 1x2x3 74deg inverted - price and volume in LBG Left and right plate 2x2 27 deg - price and volume in LBG (needing matching number of course) Brick with bow 1/3 - price and volume in LBG Plate with bow 2x4x2/3 - price and volume in LBG Brick 1x2x1 with 4 knows - price and volume in LBG Needing them in volume tended to mean buying new from BL which seemed to be the the tipping point on price. Few people had enough old stock as I decided to limit myself to UK sellers given the shipping issues with the EU. Plus the usual items like the RZ Canopy are still quite expensive in the UK (unless you use the alternative brick built option). Also worth thinking ahead if your sticking with the original engine nacelle/fronts or going down the various mod paths (I ended up trying a number and going semi-original)
  18. Sweet fix Fuppylodders - I fettled around with mine to get it about right so long as I don't touch it - so next time it gets a dusting I'll give this change a whirl! (two weeks ago I finally decided to go back on some recent engine changes to a part old/part new setup and having to then re-fix the front angles left me not wanting to so much as breathe on it for a while).
  19. Awesome just sent - many thanks!
  20. Curses never used stud.io only LDD and badly at that....the new engine front nozzles are better than the original - does changing those need the Stud.io expertise can I ask please? (I can live with the sides for the medium term).
  21. Nope I also had the same problems but suggest to "fettle" it at the end once its all done - then its about just getting it as best you can - there will be little gaps if you look at my and other pics - but with trial and error you can get it about right.
  22. Thanks. The cost ended up about £170 as I swapped out some parts post build. The build was a mix of Flat Silver, Metalic Silver, PLG and sprayed lego parts - as you are aware there are only limited parts in silver available - the effect mimics the drum lacquered approach Lego uses to make its own metallic gold and silver parts and is not destructive/permanent. I'm not a Ghost fan to be honest so I can only say the RZ is a great build, looks great and my lad loves playing with it.
  23. Sweet - this is a lovely looking ship.
  24. Yes will do - away at the moment but I'll do that when I get back. Can't recall the specifics - check page 6 of the thread (instructions 1492 > 1494) - mine sound similar to Naixin so I played around as others have done with the bracket and removed the hinge. Ill check and confirm once back home.
  25. Display on the stand - but I've had it break on me when the cabinet its displayed on was knocked, the wobble caused the stand to go at the front - luckily I caused the bump so was able to catch the ship before it hit the floor with some minor separation. I made some minor changes to the stand but it still seems to be under a lot of stress from the weight.
