  1. Blue and white scheme suits the build more somehow, looks modern and clean - nice.
  2. How cool - that is well clever!
  3. I really like this ship - looks a really solid build with some nice details. Top job.
  4. The uglie sounds interesting... I also subsequently swapped out the 2x 32007 wheels at the back of the two engines for the lighter 2903 wheels - this helps the engine struts sagging over time and still looks good.
  5. I prefer the single seat one out of the two you have done - always like seeing more Y-Wings! Looks well cool in black and orange...What does the blue / white combo look like Alexbercas?
  6. Hi, You can find the parts list on bricklink - http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=10134-1 or rebrickable - http://rebrickable.com/sets/10134-1/y-wing-attack-starfighter-ucs-star-wars-episode-456-2004 My part changes are listed earlier in this section as are some other popular changes. Personally this is still my favourite BL....
  7. Every time we have an update it just makes me smile more and more - what an awesome job.
  8. Wow - second ScottishDave on this one - this cracker needs its own thread - and please please tell me there are some breakout shots....
  9. Excellent, will be very interested to see how you get on M-C, and what you substitute etc
  10. This is nice, I like it and how you have captured the overall shape of the ship
  11. Ditto the call for some break down pics if possible, I've finished my Khatmorg build (top job there K!) and would like to see if I want to do another one on this version. You can't have two many Delta 7s!
  12. Good MOC given the original Lego one is so overdue an overhaul.
  13. I looked at BL'ing (UK base) but once the price went over £1k I decided to wait and see if I could pick up a used one for less. I never look at swapping parts out (which I later did on the UCS Y-Wing and UCS Snowspeeders I Bl'd). I guess it depends on your local market (both for suppliers if you do it yourself - USA based was better for the 10019 parts when I looked) or the new/used seller markets (bricklink / ebay etc etc) and if you want to have a new / 100% accurate model, or are happy to have one with some mods/swaps. Having done the latter on two UCS sets I'm happy doing it again if I could get the parts locally cheaper....
  14. Nearly finished my build of Khatmorg's excellent MOC - somehow I managed to miss the two engines of my bricklink order....it's a fun build and looks cracking.
  15. Its a nice build and clever tie into Poe's x-wing. As has been flagged I can't see success in the Ideas area given its already being produced and it's in the next film (even if the UCS rumours prove false). But I would like to see the same model in the blue/white scheme as per the T-70 - i think it would look sweet.
  16. Much prefer the new look engines, fits in better and looks the part - nice job.
  17. I'll second Miles on the U-wing and the similarity to Bucks old steed, I do so like the look of it - I'd probably prefer it not to have moving wings tbh but I'll take some of those if they are released.
  18. Yup reaching Vader is my vote....
  19. I'll do the remaining swaps and then try to get some better pics with the landing gear sorted, the angle's are not great to show off how good this MOC is - now doing the UCS version would be awesome!
  20. It's an old thread that's been bumped...
  21. Finally managed to finish BL'ing this one. Some parts are not yet in the blue (11203 being the main missing one) and I've had to swap a couple of other blues for temporary colours whilst I wait for some more tiles to arrive. The rear landing gear can't cope with the weight so some temporary pics on the engines and tv remote for now . The nose/front gear is very fragile, so I need to go back and check I've done that right or else see how it can be made a bit stronger, but its been fun and something I can continue to tinker with.
