  1. The round piece is the Dish 5 x 5 Scala (6942 in LDD) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6942&name=Dish 5 x 5 Scala&category=[Dish]#T=S&C=85&O={"color":"85"}
  2. They are hard to notice tbh, so I could live with both changes as they can't be seen from any other angle.
  3. Sounds good - looking forward to see pics of both your beasts,
  4. Exciting! cant wait to see the pics - I love seeing the building process....
  5. If you get them in DBG you can always swap them out later if you so wish at a low cost...
  6. Excellent job - good balance between the UCS MOCs going on and the standard size kit - this would grace my table very nicely!
  7. Brickstock can help with both filtering out the older / funny parts as flagged by NathanR and also with the actual buying - large scale orders which need multiple BL shops are far easier to manage through a tool like this (there are others available so see which works best for you). Although Bricklinks Wanted List functionality is much better now in that regard, tools like Brockstock are still better at the efficient/cheaper ordering side of things. It's certainly worth balancing out BnP / BL orders as I have found the trade off on postage and packing, and hitting minimum store orders can dramatically change pricing of bigger builds. Equally its sometimes a funny one to find you can buy pre-owned sets which include a certain part cheaper than buying the part by itself!
  8. Or in LDD you select File > Export BOM (bill of materials) and then you get a list of parts and images in excel format.
  9. Love it - especially the selfie one....
  10. I'd go for another colour if they are too expensive - brown / grey / yellow - I went with yellow and grey initially and it looked good until I found by chance a BL store with some coppers at a decent price.
  11. If you read back you will see that LiLme is doing an updated version of the build.
  12. Thanks - I need to re-do the pics as its the same size as the stock 10134 but the poor photo angle makes it look a smaller model... I've got a BL order in to try your refreshed 10134 engine front on the front of this one - I can swap out one engine and see how it looks, I'm hoping it will a) look better, b) make a nicer transition as the hinged dome in is too blocky now that the engines are basically all cylinders and c) enable me to amend the front of the engine fines to do the dome curve section which I could not get to work right. Updated rear engine pic below: Need to shape the wedges now the engine is attached and build the second one.
  13. I use http://www.brickshelf.com/ for my lego images etc - a lot of people load up their LDD / inventory / XML type files on there as well.
  14. Good set of update/changes. I like the mods to the engine rings, they look excellent. If they are twice the weight though then sagging will be an issue. I had sagging on my UCS build after a few months with the standard wheels, hence why I swapped them out for the thinner/lighter wheels (as per the various BL'ing 10134 topics). I might give the white corner bricks approach for the engine fronts a bash on my Clone Wars UCS 10134 MOC and see if I like them better as the original hinge does bug me...
  15. The only UCS set I've seen being reduced in price by UK S@H prior to retirement was the UCS B-Wing - I'd be surprised if either of the Sandcrawler or Ewok sets where reduced but...
  16. I have found that eBay are not that helpful in banning individuals plus its quite easy for them to re-register and carry on selling stolen IP sadly. I'm always happy to help report anyone and I do keep an eye out on the UK eBay for such things where I can.
  17. Tweaking still with engines, landing gear next....but its heavier than the stock 10134 so pondering that one...
  18. Hi, I've snapped a few pics for you - on the iphone so not the best quality but hopefully they help - more in http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Hold0511 I did not find any issues in terms of size difference tbh.
  19. Hi, I bought the silver wheels and then painted them white, but although they looked good (base coat plus a number of white coats) I subsequently swapped out the 2x 32007 wheels at the back of the two engines for the lighter 2903 wheels (which are reasonable to get in white) - this helps the engine struts stop sagging over time and still looks good. You can either swap out the white corrugated tubes for the white technic pins (Technic, Pin Connector Round 2L without Slot - 75535) which I did - looks really good, or get silver and spray (I tried this but they are a pain to get the finish right for 112 of them!) or look for larger length tubes and either cut or resize to fit. Pics at http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Hold0511 Of course some people choose to mix or leave silver....check out a similar topic below:
  20. I'll have to second Cjd223 - this is so so so good - and the cut-away's are just sprinkles on top!
  21. Grand, else go for the tubes with slots and thinner motorcycle white wheels for the end piece - although the beauty of the Y-wing is that any combo works well. I need to update the Clone era 10134 with some updated pics as I've finalised the engine build (so heavy compared to the standard 10134)...and yes it ends up being a heavy old beast!
  22. Welcome GG and glad you have decided to come back into the UCS Y-wing clan! Yup agreed that people are asking silly money for UCS sets, especially the Y-wing, and a lot of sets have some really shoddy parts/stickers to boot!. Look forward to seeing your pics and what changes you have made. I did a clone wars UCS Y-wing MOC and I now want to do another 10134 but in dark red....
  23. Agreed, I'll give my local TRU a visit tomorrow if I can - can't have too many of these chaps.
  24. Yup grabbed my FO General online just from TRU UK online.
  25. Good shout Krask - I think that would be a good combo to go with.
