Bartybum replied to Bublehead's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Bublehead Dude you are literally fishing for sympathy. I just went through your comment history and you have no reason to be mad at anyone. But @Meatman was 100% right. Your first post was calling your MOC a game-changer. You built up the hype yourself and then went on the defensive when it backfired and people got annoyed at you. You need to learn forum etiquette. Until you do so, people aren’t gonna give a crap if you leave. -
You sound like you’re building because you want positive reactions from people, not because you enjoy it. That shouldn’t be the case. As for custom parts, check out efferman’s stuff. He 3D prints a lot of custom pieces and people love him. People here tend to like custom pieces especially when they’re neatly designed, so I see no harm in making them

Attitudes and mindsets
Bartybum replied to Bublehead's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I just checked your rollercoaster post and literally every single comment was praising it, as well as in the YouTube video... the two comments that pointed out it wasn’t technically a rollercoaster were also praising it highly, so I don’t know what you’re talking about -
Attitudes and mindsets
Bartybum replied to Bublehead's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Dude you got no responses because people probably don’t find battery drills interesting enough to comment on. If you make something that doesn’t have a wide appeal that’s generally how things go down -

Bugatti Chiron 1:8
Bartybum replied to Leviathan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Considering that the real Chiron is bulbous in almost every aspect, you’ve done a pretty good job. For future models of the Chiron I’d recommend staying away from panels and sticking to flex axles, because they can be bent to 100% capture the shape of the bodywork, whereas panels tend to leave you with awkward flat gaps.- 46 replies

Turning them down isn’t the problem, it’s that there’s no block there like in the 2004 model -

Thank the lord I’m not the only one who’s annoyed at that. Where is the connection between the bars and the dome? -

I really hope your second point isn’t based off the description, because “queer” in that sense is obviously supposed to mean unusual , especially since it’s coupled with the word “bizarre” -
42083 - Bugatti Chiron
Bartybum replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Because that's another half a million dollars that they'd need to spend on two molds. It's a waste of money on something that's a hidden aesthetic. -

@Saberwing40k With the narrow independent suspension argument, at what point do you draw the line? Once Lego gives you parts that let you do that, then it’s inevitable that someone like you is gonna want to build even narrower independent suspension. -

Well I mean, they’ve pretty much run out of things to mold now without getting into too specific parts. The current selection is pretty sufficient. inb4 7L dogbone -
[MOC] UCS Venator-Class Star Destroyer Instructions
Bartybum replied to Ellisss_2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I’d recommend doing part fadeout because then you can make more complex steps/smaller file size- 68 replies

Oh wow, I never realised how small those tyres were. I always just assumed they’d be the same size as the current Mack ones, only thinner! Now I fully understand and agree with Lego’s choice to use super singles. They’d have to make yet another tyre mold. They absolutely don’t work - the diameter’s too small

Ahhh I love this engine. I’m so worried that Lego will try make an oversized one. :( -
If Lego release a Venator Class Star Destroyer, I will eat my shoes. Also, because of some Bantha-crap licensing condition Disney has with some other company, Lego can’t do a minifig line - only that company can sell Star Wars figurines or something
