Playability would have gone through the roof for me as a kid if my Lego had sprung suspension -

This is beautiful. It upsets me that we don’t get Lego models with full suspension like this. -

Also guys, check out S@H for Canada. It’s $400CAD. Here in Australia it’s $600. Our exchange rates are 1:1. What the absolute hell? I swear we get ripped off for pricing. -
I dunno why but the more I look at the set the more flattened and oddly shaped it seems ):

I honestly don’t think I care that they got leaked because it meant I got to see what it looked like a week early, so for me it was worth it. It was a dumb move on TLG’s behalf to send them out to stores before reveal and not expect them to try sell it early, especially since it happens so often. -

There’s a tailpipe joke in here somewhere D: -
So from the 42083 threads apparently the new orange rotary gear selectors are in 42082 as well, but I don’t know see how that could be

Hang on but how? From the stickers on the gearboxes on 42082, they all point to the set using the standard red gear selectors. None of the gearboxes appear to be cyclic -

Are they? :O I thought one could buy shares in them? EDIT: Right you are, they’re private. Either way my point still stands hehe -
@Renown Don’t we already get three UCS sets a year?

Lego’s a public company. It would be completely uncharacteristic to not take advantage of Bugatti’s brand prestige. -
Lets talk color vomit

I mean, if there’s an alternative to using solvents for plastic modelling that achieves the same results then why bother with solvents? -

Honestly I think that’s what happened here; it’s probably just a preorder at the moment. There’s no way they’d have a manufacturing line up and running for it already. Let’s be real though, it was gonna be bootlegged anyway -

I didn’t believe you first but damn you’re right. That’s crazy. That being said, the MOCability is gonna be badly affected if anyone wants to make it in a different colour scheme not involving dark blue :( I like to think about it this way. This sort of price gouging is fine because anyone who’s gonna spend that kinda money on a set without looking elsewhere is almost always the kind of person who doesn’t care and can afford to be gouged. And because the ratio of sets that end up being sold as gouges to sets that end up being sold normally is so small, it doesn’t affect the larger market. -

Just saw some photos on Reddit of the fully built Chiron. The front may not be 100% accurate but the whole build still looks amazing -

Early leakers would only get sued if there were monetary damages as a result, which in this case there pretty much aren’t. Also, I’m inclined to say that the higher ups at TLG that are disappointed really should have seen this coming. This whole taboo they created surrounding the Chiron, plus shipping them out to stores before the unveiling was the perfect breeding ground for leaks - It’s textbook human temptation.
