  1. Carpet is kind of the equivalent of running in very thick grass or very lose sand though, not something a real life MX5 would be excellent at either. If you are OK with moving the receiver to the passenger seat, you might be able to fit a second L motor in the back for extra torque
  2. Yeah thanks, looking at it a little closer i can see the make-up of the cockpit. I went with a smaller desighn for my microfighter moc, ill see if i can get some pictures today.
  3. Looks cool, good job keeping all the guts underneath a low body like that. I wonder though, if you manage to relocate the receiver whether you could mount the drive motor longitudinally and work a diff in there, and maybe increase the drive ratio if the L motor has the torque to handle it.
  4. Bricklinking some light bley to replace the dark bley areas should be easy enough, but i think itll be hard to get it looking just right, the real falcon has a weathered look that is very hard to capture with bricks.
  5. Expanded the wall of empire/sith with an extra small shelf, where my Sith Fury now sits, opening up space for the Tie proto on the main shelf next to Darth's Tie, not sure if im gonna try to squeeze three Ties in there (depends on how much space the Proto takes up), or maybe ill just make a hangar diorama in there. Also, hoping to finally get my BL order in with the parts for my microfighter scale Tie proto moc...
  6. Ordered a 75083 AT-DP, that empty sport on my desk really needs something, and this was cheaper then trying to track down a Darth Talon statue :P Im trying to tell myself this is enough for a while, but after i get some shelving sorted in my imperial/sith corner im gonna need an updated Sith Infiltrator.... (although i wont be going new for that one, dont like the current version)
  7. Ordered 75083, the AT-DP The sickness is real, i reorganized my desk, and wound up with an empty spot, and immediately though "hmm, right next to my imperial shelf, a walker would look good there" and then found out i could grab the AT-DP (which i think is an awesome walker, it perfectly combines clone and empire looks for me) significantly below MSRP... my poor wallet.
  8. Check out the Alfa Romeo 156 (and personally, the 147, 155 and GTV) as well, all from the 90s, and the 156 particularly is still a stunning car. If they'd freshen that car up with new engines and electronics, and a very slight facelight, id buy a new one right away. Also, 90s BMWs still look pretty good (if they havent been given the barry treatment) Back on topic, have i nominated the Tie Defender yet? bland and repetitive build, very little printed parts for extra visual interestingness, the wing assembly is wobbly as megabluck, and the cockpit rotates, also, the proportions feel off. I tried selling mine, but people wont even pay fair brick value for the damn thing, i really regret buying the PoS
  9. Agonizing over whether or not to get 75083, i can get it for €48 (rather then €65 MSRP), and i like the AT-DP (and the Kallus minifig), but money.. Also, being pissed that my BL order from last Tuesday is still on "packed" Today has been a day of negative emotions so far
  10. More of the same set. It doesnt rule out a new death star somewhere in the future, but a notice like that in the shop just means that specific set will be made more off
  11. Hmm, doesnt look that bad to me, but then again im not much of a droid army kind of guy, so the cool clonies make the set look pretty damn awesome
  12. That is quite the improvement, still a tad short compared to the drawing, but sooooo much better then the out of the box lego version, and the interior actually looks like it could transport a decent number of troops now!
  13. AT-AT microfighter yesterday It is a decent build, and somewhat interesting, but still kinda meh imho, but then again, i never was a big AT-AT fan. Itll go onto the small empire vehicle shelf
  14. Impressive! But those wings do look heavy
  15. When you order the pieces to build said Tie-fighter, and end up agonizing every single day that the BL seller is taking so damn long. I ordered a Tie pilot the same day, which arrived on thursday, and my parts order is still sitting at "packed", and there is no post delivery on sunday on monday here, it absolutely ridiculous that an in-country order would take a frigging week (assuming the seller ships today/monday) when it can be done in two days, as evidenced by my currently still craft-less Tie pilot. /rant Also, when you try to post in this topic, but are interrupted by a delivery guy bringing you one on four other outstanding lego orders
  16. That grey OT Tie looks excellent, i had to do a double take to make sure it was lego on the first pic I do hope Lego brings out more Ties with the current style of cockpits, they look perfect
  17. How about the upcoming microfighters? 2016 should see a Tie prototype and AT-DP microfighter, which should be roughly the right scale (or at least provide a base for modification) Love the Gozanti so far by the way, it is one of my new favorite ships after seeing rebels, and im really mad at my wallet for not having the money to buy one :P
  18. Interceptor and Bomber first if you ask me, Vader at least has 8017, which is color correct, and there is a color correct Tie as well, way better then the blue monstrosities of the interceptor and bomber.
  19. Yup, thank god my life is falling apart right now, so i have more pressing matters than to keep obsessing about lego
  20. probably a carpenter/signmaker Im a programmer, so i make websites and business software, the closest thing i can think of in medieval times would be making desks for clericks, or filing cabinets, or simple tools for other people to use for work.
  21. Just ordered a Tie advanced prototype, for €30 after discounts (had to order a €5 sweater to use a €10 off coupon, worth it) Chuffed with it, it always seemed like the best lego Tie so far, and i quite like the prototype as a craft as well, PLUS, i get an inquisitor to add to my bad guy collection.
  22. Just ordered a Tie prototype for €30, an online warehouse had it for €40, and a €10 promo for new customers, just had to order a €5 sweater from the sale to get above the minimum amount for the promo :P So €40 total for Tie, sweater and delivery tomorrow morning, YAY I think ill stash it for under the christmas tree though, im just happy to have found it for this price, im fine with waiting a few months more before unboxing it :)
  23. Looking good, im a tiny bit sad that the set doesnt have the red/green/white octan livery to match the rest of the team, but its nothing a little bricklinking cant fix, should i be so inclined
  24. You are capable of designing a small tie-fighter entirely in your head, and it comes out looking great once you build it in LDD
  25. Stopped by toys'r us and found nothing particularly interesting, was hoping for a few good polybags, but nada Instead i ordered some stuff off bricklink, namely a Tie Pilot, and the bricks to build my self-designed Tie advanced prototype microfighter, im curious to see how the lego set next year compares to what i came up with
