[LDD] Do these look like gas pumps? (tips needed)
Darkdragon replied to Electricsteam's topic in LEGO Town
They look really good. If you use headlight bricks on the top you could have the electronics panel inset which might be a bit better. It was instantly recognizable as is though. -

The building style is perfect to my eye and the interior is wonderful, it just needs a dock (so the pirates can visit!). -

A Minifig to Represent Each Country? Help!
Darkdragon replied to kobalt's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If I were tackling this project, I'd do a google image search for the country name and then try to find a minifig torso that fit. From there I'd look for hats/hair that fit the feel. There are a lot of things you can do when you consider starting with one part instead of trying to find a complete figure that fits your need. -

General Grievous minifig - Diagnosis and Repair?
Darkdragon replied to CapnDash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Lego might still be able to replace some parts. If they can't help you though, some clear fingernail polish on the pegs the arms attach to might work. Let it dry completely before trying to attach the arms. -

I love how full of life you've made this little build. I can almost hear the glass and feel the heat from the flames. -
Bricklinking pieces vs buying a whole set
Darkdragon replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Generally speaking the prices tend to be very close to the same, but if you set out to purchase all the parts for a set you are looking at multiple shipping charges which could make buying it in parts a lot more expensive than as a used set. -

It is officially a Nest and not a Den. -
That happens because the forum software is sending the emails, and when Google sees an @gmail.com address being sent from something other than Gmail, it classifies it in that way. I've not yet found any 100% perfect way to stop Eurobricks emails from going into my spam folder, unfortunately.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
Darkdragon replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
It seems logical to me that they will place into this series some of the missing characters from the Disney Princess sets that are already out. Similar to what they did with the Simpsons series. I would expect a lot more classic figures and not as much from new-ish (but already on dvd) films. I also don't expect we'd see anything from any live action tween tv shows. It would be fun if we got some Lion King figures out of this, but I'm not really convinced they'd do that here based on CMF history so far.- 4,155 replies

You didn't mention from what service, you have to upload your photos somewhere. Here's a tutorial for Flickr http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921

Sea Rats: Sign-up and Discussion
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The only issue I'd have with your intro build qualifying for the starter challenge is that the sigfig isn't what I'd consider as being shown clearly. Mostly because we can't see his face or his normal uniform (whatever he'd normally wear). -

"Battle damaged" Stormtrooper transformation
Darkdragon replied to La Chupacabra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The most precise method I've found is to use a toothpick dipped into brasso to remove very small or precise areas of printing.
