  1. Thank you for the informative post.
  2. It doesn't help because a standard consumer laser printer does not print white, so I was trying to get some more details.
  3. Sorry for the delays but it's finally up! I don't forsee any more of these delays for the rest of the game. Yes
  4. Sign-Up | Confirmation | Day 1 Welcome to Day 1, campers! Today there will be no lynch vote. Instead, you will be voting on the Town PRs. As with a lynch vote, there is no voting in the first 24 hours. The two PR roles with the highest vote counts will be assigned to two random Town players at the end of Day 1. In the case of a tie, a PR will be chosen randomly. There will be no announcement of the PRs if they are assigned randomly. You are each required to vote for at least one PR, but you may vote for two. You must choose from this list of Power Roles: Cop: At night, you may learn the alignment of a player you select. Tracker: At night, you may select a player. You will learn the name of the player that person targeted with an ability (if any). Watcher: At night, you may select a player. You will learn the name(s) of the player(s) who targeted that person with an ability (if any). Roleblocker: At night, you may disable all the active abilities of a player of your choice. Doctor: At night, you may choose a player to protect from the Mafia's night kill. They are guaranteed to live through the night unless a Mafia Strongman submitted the kill on them. Rules Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Mafia. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Mafia, while the Mafia needs to outnumber the Town. Third-Party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. After the day has concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of the night stage. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the following day. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread; you must always play the role given to you. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. You may not edit your posts. You must post in every day thread. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. No player is allowed to privately contact any other player in this game about/playing the game. This includes but is not limited to PM, chat (such as IRC), IM (such as Skype and Steam), phone, and playing in person. All game discussion must take place in the appropriate day thread. The scum team will have a writeboard to use during the night phase only. Violation of the above rules will result in a vote penalty of half the required majority against you on your first offence, and the death of your character on your second offence. Violation of rule 7 will have a heavier penalty, including suspension, made at the discretion of the Games Moderator. 5. This sort of thing... Day 1 will be up tonight, there just a slight bad-baby delay.
  6. That is actually an issue with Chrome, not with Eurobricks. Here is the information directly from Chrome's help pages about the issue: Fix Flash problems If Flash isn't working, try these solutions to fix the problem: Step 1: Turn on PPAPI plugins. Open Chrome. In the address bar at the top, type chrome://plugins and press Enter. Click Details. Scroll down to "Adobe Flash Player." Under "Type: PPAPI," click Enable. Step 2: Make sure Chrome is up-to-date. You get Adobe Flash player on Chrome automatically, and it updates when Chrome does. Step 3: Update Adobe Flash Player manually. Open Chrome. In the address bar at the top, type chrome://components and press Enter. Under "pepper_flash," click Check for update. Plugins that use NPAPI, including Silverlight, Java, and Unity, won’t work.
  7. That isn't possible anymore since the last software upgrade, it's a manual process for staff now.
  8. A blanket statement like this with no information isn't helpful at all. Can you give some more information? Are you talking about thermal printers, wax printers (do those still exist?), opaque toners for consumer models? Examples, prices, anything?
  9. The tan if it's dark enough should be OK, but depends on how dark you make it. To get an example of how clear stickers will work, draw on some clear plastic wrap or tape with a highlighter and put it over the torso. That's the same way the ink in your printer works. For example, if you print something in yellow on a clear decal and stick it onto a blue torso...what you'll see is green. If you print yellow on a clear decal and stick it on a white torso, what you'll see is yellow. With a normal ink jet or laser printer, the only way to get exactly what you see on your computer to your minifig is to print on white decals (sticker or waterslide) or try the underneath method i mentioned above (but have not tried, it is simply a concept but it should work).
  10. Unfortunately, that will not work. If you are not printing on white paper you will not be able to get white or even light colors on a lego part that is not white. You would have to use some sort of opaque ink for this to work, be it opaque inkjet ink, thermal printer, or pad printer. This is science, if I do find a link to explain it I will post here. You can get white waterslide decal paper and print whatever color you want, I believe that is discussed in the papers thread LuxorV linked to. That could work, you could probably print on white decal or waterslide just the white parts outline and then cut it out and apply it first. Then print the rest of the design on clear to place over it.
  11. It's really the science behind how dye based inks work. It's hard to explain other than a normal CMYK inkjet printer with normal inks will never be able to print white. That also means that printing on a clear decal over a dark part will not work out. There are (expensive) ways to print it as have been discussed before, but one that isn't mentioned is relatively new and is opaque inkjet inks. They are really made for commercial uses though, here's a big one from Epson, the WT7900. That might help you with research if you want to try and find an affordable consumer model.
  12. That's everyone! Day 1 will be up tonight-ish.
  13. Anyone with a thermal printer or a pad printer can do it. They are both expensive and costly to learn how to operate though. Those are also the only way to print white. Thermal printers are used for making water slide decals for models and such, and last I checked run about $5000 and are expensive to operate and break down often, when you can even find them to purchase. Pad printers start at around $2500 and that's for a 1-part-at-a-time manual model.
  14. Sign-Up | Confirmation | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 Welcome to Scooby-Doo Mafia: All Fired Up! As you all know, this is a small game and unfortunately not everyone could be select to play. Those that opted to be put on the reserves list, please confirm you are still willing to play if another player has to drop out (or disappears mid game). All players must confirm participation in this thread before 72 hours from post time is up. Once everyone is confirmed or the time has passed, Day 1 will go up. If a player fails to confirm in the allotted time, a reserve player will take his/her place in the order of the reserves list. We will be strictly following the standard Eurobricks Mafia rules, outlined below. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Town or the Mafia. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Mafia, while the Mafia needs to outnumber the Town. Third-Party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. 15. There has been a slight delay, but confirmation will be up tomorrow (today, depending on what your concept of time is).
  16. Your moving legs mod is a lot simpler than mine. I think I'll give it a try!
  17. Well that's it for signups! There were a couple extra signups, so I'll have to roll some numbers.
  18. Open Office and Google Drive should both work and are both free.
  19. The software you talk about already exists online and has for a while: http://rebrickable.com/ . If you buy one of every set then you'd have enough bricks to build one of every set.
  20. Sign-Up | Confirmation | Day 1 | Day 2 It's time to join Scooby-Doo and the Gang in the forest (no, not The Forest, the forest)! The good news is that this will be a short game so no huge time commitments spanning multiple months! The bad news is that there are only 9 player slots, so if more than 9 sign up, we'll fill the slots on lottery and have backups. The schedule will be the normal 72-hour days, voting will never close early, and every living player MUST vote. Please answer the following if you wish to sign up: Translate this from Doglish to English: "Rimage ris everything. Re're the reatest retectives!" Did you cheat on the translation? What character from 'Scooby-Doo: Where are you?' do you identify with the most? Do you have time to actually participate in the game for next few weeks? If a lottery happens and you aren't selected, do you want to be on reserve list? This signup thread will stay up until some time Sunday. The confirmation will go up on Monday, so be ready!
  21. Some great work here, I enjoyed watching it, and the movements all seemed really natural and not forced. I would have liked to see some more gym goers and street people, I know that adds a TON of work but it makes the whole scene feel more alive.
  22. Was suppose to be last week except everyone at my house got very sick. I'm hoping for signups tonight or tomorrow, but I make no promises. Here, have a banner... Coming Soonish
  23. I think this is what you are looking for Peeron Color List http://www.peeron.com/inv/colors
  24. It really all depends on how you build. Some people build by color - they want to make a grey castle, so they pull out all the grey parts and make it work. Some build by style (?) decide what they want the build to be and pull out the parts in the colors they want to make it work. For myself, I find it very near impossible to find the part I want in a big bucket of browns, for example. I sort by part and if there is a nee/space by color within that. As a previous post said, it's good to keep rare colors together though if you can.
  25. There is some information on creating your own at http://www.minifigcustomizationnetwork.com/howto/899
