The LEGO Group takes civil actions against LEPIN
Darkdragon replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Of course, that is exactly what they do. They create their own molds to create the copies of the parts. Why would they print the Lego logo on the parts, that would make no sense at all. -
Need suggestions for/ help finding a torso
Darkdragon replied to Ludzik's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
When I have these sorts missions, I normally start by searching the "by color" on bricklink, display the categories there and choose the right category. From there it's pretty much the eyeball game. On the issue of no yellow "skin" showing, why couldn't it be a yellow undershirt if it's a very small amount near a collar (for example)? I use to think it wouldn't work that way but once I released that mindset and actually tried it, it was great and opened up a lot more options. Of course not every torso will work, but it might open up more options. One last thing, purist only - no modifications? If you are willing to brasso, it can open up options even further. Good luck on your search! -
I really like the design of this building. I tried to do a half-timber look many moons ago and it turned out horribly Yours looks perfect to me. Great styling throughout and super fun interior.

1 5 10 11 14 Some really great entries this year, I'm really diggin' all the interesting choices for scenes. Some really great builds in here just don't fit the theme itself, they would really stand out as "that doesn't look like rest" if put in a WV lineup, but that doesn't mean they aren't awesome builds in their own right. Great work everyone!

Those look great. The robe colors are a little off on both, but still recognizable on what you were trying to do. Did you make the robes/coats or are those from third party sellers?

Minifigures. Or are they?
Darkdragon replied to legostarwars1425's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
You left out all the alien figures and many other figures historicly that have all been considered minifigs. But in reality, what's the point of it? Why does it matter? What would you even call a minifigs that doesn't fit that very narrow description? -
I've never heard of that one, but you are probably grabbing the wrong link. It should end in .jpg or .jpeg If there isn't an option to grab that path, you need a different host - it us rare but some image hosts don't allow external linking directly to an image. I don't know why you won't use Flickr, but you could also use mocpages, Photobucket, etc. There are many.

You could contact the small companies that are already doing custom figures such as BrickWarriors, Eclipse Graphics, and there are others I can't think of. If you want pad printing (like offical figures), be prepared for a fairly big setup fee - you might want to have extra figures made to sell and cover those setup costs. UV printing is usually cheaper to do but there are downsides there as well. Good luck!

There's really no call for arguing over whether one of you insulted the other in some strange way, what a waste of time and space and a very rude hijacking of Lunabrick's thread.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Darkdragon replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Right, but they might get some and they'd be cheaper there most likely. Double molded arms and legs and Friends figure parts are crazy expensive on B&P. -
Review: 30522 Batman in the Phantom Zone

Those are some great little parts. I'll definitely be keeping an eye open to find this bag. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Darkdragon replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Still $2.95 as far as I know. It's a flat rate. Takes a couple weeks to get your parts, and I think B&P is closed for a bit right now. I think those would be a lot cheaper to order from Bricklink. -
You can post on the Bricklink forum, sometimes that works for finding things that aren't listed there.

It's looking very eclectic this year! -
Where would one find official standards for the Winter Village line? I haven't seen it myself and would be very interested.

Great collection. I really like these little guys and buy them in BL shops when I'm placing an order in a store that has them. I'd love to have one of each some day.

These are really great. I love all the details you were able to fit into a small footprint.

This is a great train. I really like the sleeping car interior a lot.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Darkdragon replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Why would they not want that? Those have been around for years already. I suppose they can only develop new cloth items once in a while, for some reason unknown to us little people. There was a rumor somewhere that a trench-coat might be in the works, that would be a more exciting to me than a smoking robe, more uses anyway. -

I'm not sure, the help documents say it is html but I've had no luck typing in html. I guess the developer just wants everyone to use the editor for some reason. Hopefully they will get enough customer complaints to add back some sort of editor some day -
Help with identifying parts/sets!
Darkdragon replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know off-hand. The best way to find out is to check Bricklink "by Color" for the arms. Though it's not always 100%, very new parts might not be listed yet. You might be able to locate this way: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogColors.asp?utm_content=subnav. It will take some time. -
Are you asking the community to design/redesign something that you are planning to sell, based on your own fictional world/story?

Have you tried pasting BBCode into the post box? I still type code directly into the editor and it seems to work. From what I understand though, BBCode will be completely removed in some future release of the software. The plain text version of the editor doesn't exist anymore, it's not a matter of enabling it, it's been removed by the software developers.
