    To be fair the part count doesn't jump significantly between 42055 and 42082. 42055 has 3929 parts, while 42082 only has 4057 parts. It isn't very hard to add a hundred of pins and system parts and tits and bits. The same can't be said for the moment when 42055 was introduced. The second largest at that time was 42043 with a mere 2793. So the part count shot up by 1200 pieces. That is something groundbreaking.

    I read that Chiron also has paddle shifters. Do they work in the same way as Porsche paddle shifters?

    So the simple formula for TLG is: 1. Get a license from an iconic car 2. Create a faithful replica of appearance and a not-so-faithful replica of technical details. 3. Profit !

    @Tommy Styrvoky In the video the top row still employs the traditional trapezoidal brick for V-shaped engines, and the bottom row employs what seem to be two 24z gears.

    The rear wheels point to a different direction from the body, so I assume it's 4 wheel steering.

    This set comes right at the time I become too frustrated to make my 42009 work after many modding attempts and sleepless nights. I think I'll get this set to replace the 42009. The only problem remaining is what to do with it.

Largest TECHNIC set for parts. 4 wheel steering. V8 engine sticking out at the rear, uncovered. Unimog wheels with covers. 5 motorized functions: - Raising boom - Extending boom - Lowering winch - Lowering outriggers - Rotating superstructure B mode: drilling vehicle.

    Aurelien Rouffiange !!! Not Uwe Wabra !!! WOW !!! I have always been under the impression that this guy isn't as prestigious or high-ranking as Uwe or Markus as he so far only designs small models and motorbikes... His biggest creation so far is the 42055 B model Mobile Aggregate Processing Plant. But to think that he'd take up such a massive set :O :O :O

    If Uwe is the designer behind the Chiron, I don't think it's likely he would use System parts to achieve the curves. That style is observed in Milan's creations only. Uwe's creations are more Technic-ish, more traditional. I think that curve will be achieved with two 3x11 curves.

    I've just taken a closer look at 42081 Volvo Autonomous. There are 3 knobs. One is for the HOG steering. That leaves two knobs for the loading arm. I think this means this set will not be PF upgradable. Those that are PF upgradable, with the exception of 42053 Volvo EW160E and 42050 Drag Racer, have only one knob for one power input. I think its B model will be Volvo Autonomous Dump Truck.

    Finally something makes sense. I'm referring to the fact that promobrick is invited and pictures are allowed. If pictures are not allowed then I don't know what's the whole point.

    Facebook just reminded me this day two years ago. It was the day that the first image of the BWE was out and I was like OMG what the bloody damn on earth is this thing it is so majestic and magnificent and unlike anything I've seen. Time sure flies. This year all we have is a blank state. *sigh*

    I think, and really wish, the B model of 42082 can be a reach stacker, and the prefab house will be turned into a container.
