  1. TLG now is like, if you like it then you put "rough terrain" on it First we have all terrain tow truck, then rough terrain crane. Maybe we will have rough terrain super car, rough terrain racer, rough terrain loader, rough terrain excavator, or even, blimey, rough terrain aircraft hahaha
  2. So 42082 is just 42009 on big tyres and with less axles +.+
  3. It's way past time for a proper large 1000+ pcs backhoe, so Imma bet on it
  4. That means there will be a Harvester or Backhoe then
  5. @Aventador2004 You can see for yourself: https://www.lego.com/en-us/technic/explore/designer-blogs/monster-mining-machine Andy is a manager, so I dont think he did the designing at all. The video that you saw might be the interview with Sariel last summer. In that video there is a question about what makes such a huge set as BWE possible, and Andy answered that question. That doesnt mean he actually designed the set.
  6. No, Markus designed the 42055 A and Aurelien designed the 42055 B. Andy had a role in the development of 42056 Porsche.
  7. Or maybe we can host a contest in which people build the prizes for the last contest hahaha
  8. Totally agree on this. I ended up buying most of the Technic sets in 2016. I bought: 42044, 42045, 42048, 42052, 42053 x2, 42054, 42055 x2, 42056. Still amazed at how good sets that year are.
  9. @kbalage Could you provide the measures for the truck and the trailer respectively? Thanks.
  10. Let's see if I miss anyone - Markus - Uwe - Milan - Olav Krøigaard (42053) - Michael T Jeppesen (42054) - Aurelien Rouffiange (42038) - Lars Krogh Jensen LKJ (42025) - Lars Thygesen (42063) - Samuel Tacchi. I think this guy is new. He works on 42063 BMW B model. - Alfred Pedersen Still 1 name to go. There's the guy Andy Woodman. I'm not sure this guy counts. He's not a designer. His position is Senior Design Manager for Lego Technic. And there's also Jeppe Jul Jensen, the guy who do the presentation in the technic designer videos. I dont know if I remember this right, he designed the 9398, but no longer designs Technic sets.
  11. I'm a bit disappointed with the interiors. I expected more than a simple bed. At least a mini fridge or TV or something. OH and turns out you guys were right the B model has two steering wheels on both sides :O
  12. You mean a garbage truck has 2 steering wheels? o__O
  13. The Mack is probably the first non flagship set that is nevertheless packed in a flagship box. Its box has the same dimensions with boxes of 42030, 42043, and 42070.
  14. How you managed to find that 8070 has less gaps than 42077 is way beyond my comprehension ability. I think this applies to a scheme with two or more colors. The 8070 is on the other hand monotone, which looks dreadful to me. Bare bone flex axles dont feel like proper wheel arches to me though. No objection with the function part. 42077 is abysmal function-wise. But I'd get the 42077. I used to own a 8070 but gave it away when I bought the Porsche came because the complete appearance of the Porsche made 8070 look heinous. I buy sets for their looks.
  15. Function wise it is lackluster. But appearance wise this is what a race car should be. Took 7 years since that heinous 8070.
  16. I think it's neither 42070 blue nor 42066 blue
  17. Online ofc. I bought from a US seller on ebay. Sent payment at the end of November. Package arrived in Vietnam today.
  18. You're right I only got 42071 and 42074
  19. The box of this set is supposed to open at the top instead of the sides as usual. The sail sheet is the sticker sheet made with plastic. There is the rim outside the sail. I just need to rip it out at the several points on the precut lines instead of having to tear it carefully and slowly.
  20. I think this is the first time I've got my paws on the sets before Sariel haha
  21. Here's my mod to sync the outriggers. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/152467-mod-42070-6x6-all-terrain-tow-truck-mods-and-improvements/&do=findComment&comment=2891992
  22. I'd like to present my mod for synchronized outriggers I and several others have seen that the side triggers touch the ground before the rear ones, which results in some annoying creaking of the inner clutches. The gear ratios and speeds are the same for all mini LAs, so the problem lies in the geometry of the outrigger connections. So I've experimented around with different setups, with the requirement that the MOD must be as easy to be implemented as possible. The solution I found isnt ideal, as the LAs arent perfectly synced and there is still one short creak, but that's the best among what I've found. This MOD only needs 2 9L beams that push the outriggers out, instead if the black 7L beams dictated in the instruction. The connection hole is moved 2 stud lower, and the outriggers are almost perfectly synced!
  23. I've always wanted the trailer in the B model to have proper duallies, but it is only until recently that I have managed to make this happen. So here it is, I would like to present my MOD for duallies in the trailer. Characteristics: - The axle length needs to be reduced to 11L. - The tow bars for suspension need to be moved inside. - Since there is only one hole for the pin that holds the wheel at the end of the live axle, I use the new part Pin Hole with 2 1L axles 180 degree, introduced in 2017. I take them from the spare parts of 42069 after building the B model. I also put the yellow springs to the second axle because the grey springs bend under the weight of the crane. Hope this helps.
