  1. And the faction PMs (there have been a few) are a pretty fun read. How we organized the KMA, and totally threw @SkaForHire for a loop, is so filled with enthusiasm and a fictional national pride it's almost silly. Our reaction to his reaction got even wilder. If you would like to read this, join Eslandola!
  2. Doing area plotting in my head, 48x48=72x32. The builds don't have to be that big, though. Fishing vessels don't really need to be very large, do they? So ships that take them shouldn't need to be either.
  3. Not surprising, since it was first printed in 1969. The snarky attitude was because I have been reading Bloom County comic strips.
  4. @Capt Wolf, I knew that. I was just doing some wordplay. I didn't capitalize the word, did I? Am I the only one here who remembers that usage of the word from The Warlock In Spite Of Himself? It was used as an insult by the character, but the term was valid in its usage. Christopher Stasheff is my favorite political Sci-Fi author. Am I being too literary?
  5. Slander! Have some pie-in-face from a democrat! <SPLAT!> For the glory of the Triuri! .................. Woah. Sorry, Solstice flashback. You were saying? That should better help prospective members find their place here.
  6. Are we supposed to be spouting silly self-pride? Okay. <sings> "Just look for . . . the Truachesh label."
  7. Since the new map is now established, I made a minor edit to Stargazing to reflect that the old map (which includes its location) is incorrect.
  8. Since the new map doesn't include where it's located, I don't think Stargazing can be included in the value points.
  9. I went back to look at the original descriptions of 11 and 13 in the Prio Seas new islands thread. Neither makes any mention of the little islands. As for my build, it is set on an island that does not appear on the MRCA map. It is an unlicensed story build, therefore I only got the freebuild DBs out of it. I made no claim on the land itself. Who it officially belongs to doesn't really matter for the EGS concerns of that build. My geological description didn't include the larger islands, so I hope my story can stand without incident. As to the islands that actually appear on the MRCA map, they have no settlements on them, correct? If so, who owns them shouldn't matter in the MRCA. Ska's La Isla de Medio map makes small changes to the look of those islands, but clearly puts them in the island's zone of influence. I conceded those on the MRCA map belong there. The two little spots that don't appear (where my build is located), don't seem to be included in the La Isla de Medio map, given their relative distance on the original map. The whole issue hinges on the fact that Ska never posted a map of La Sombra.
  10. Then that takes away all LDD builds from me, because the computer I have for LDD cannot run rendering programs.
  11. I claimed the build as La Sombra, I just used the map as referent for its location. I will agree that the islands are not part of the city of Trador.
  12. If I were to build a full scale portion of the ship, like I did for the Puppy Hustler, would that satisfy the Court?
  13. There is already an unlicensed Eslandola build set on the western-most of the tiny islands on Maxim's map (they don't show up on the MRCA map). The text of Stargazing gives a credible geological reason for their existence.
  14. This decision is quite disappointing to me. I just finished a 32x32 LDD micro scale harbor scene with a ship I had intended to represent an auction purchase, or if I didn't win a new license.
  15. The Crahaish neh Triuri rescinds its bid.
  16. The Consort's Duty will be joining the Victory convoy, and the Island Rose will be joining the Double Duty convoy.
  17. The Crahaish neh Triuri bid 122 DBs for the Tuna King.
  18. The Crahaish neh Triuri bid 104 for the Tuna King.
  19. The Crahaish neh Triuri bid 65DBs for the Tuna King.
  20. If you Corries need some ideas; wagon wheels and sail cloth production. The bigger the towns, the better the profit should my ships come into port.
  21. Hey, we the Truachesh of Eslandola have our 'supernatural' too.
  22. Consider the amount of parts the fig looks to be wearing in the image: tricorn, epaulets, cape, and something that may be the bow tie. After all that, this part for a bell may seem reasonable.
  23. A Town Crier wouldn't need a new mold for a bell, just the recent cone with handle piece. They could make it a dual mold, which would require a second mold, but that is unlikely. It is possible for it to be printed, but just producing the part in pearl silver or pearl gold would be enough.
  24. I think I read somewhere that the guild switching option will be open at the beginning of Book III. PM one of the leaders to be sure. This challenge is the conclusion of the Nocturnus Civil War, so I think starting the story for a character with that is the way to go. Then when Book III starts, name the character your sigfig. Having characters from other guilds doesn't go against the rules. You might even want to keep your old sigfig as a secondary character. If you want to keep your sigfig the same, you could just have him support a side in Nocturnus, and when Book III opens have him decide to stay.
  25. The gold suit could be Howard.
