  1. Have either of you tests with Sbrick and if not, where an I buy a V2 receiver! Cheers
  2. Have you seen ZBLJ's six speed gearbox - it is a very different take but still very cool:
  3. I bought mine off bricklink for £25 each and the unit for £45 and the controller for £30. They were the cheapest I could find all from one store at that time so as you can see they don't really come in a 'cheap' version!
  4. That looks like a good propellor that I could've used in my spinning sculpture: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=129344 It would've made it a lot faster and more fun!
  5. Looks really nice! How heavy is the model and is it autonomous, eg. will the ultrasound sensor on the front stop it crashing into anything?
  6. Cheers, but wouldn't the red buttons mean you would have to 'calibrate (as it were)' it again so the remote had full range? Same
  7. It looks quite cool but what happens when you go past the operating point of the universal joint? How many clicks of the drive wheel does it take before this happens?
  8. Hello all, When you are playing with your Lego creations, what remote control set-up/configuration do you use? The main one I use for my cars is a joystick and steering wheel combination: The other configuration I use is a 2 way joystick: The other MOD I have come across is the following link based one: More pictures are available at my Bricksafe account: http://bricksafe.com...remote-controls If you have any other modifications or set-ups you use, post them here. Thanks for reading, Jim
  9. Just checking! My Bricksafe account can be found at http://bricksafe.com/pages/Technic_Jim/ . Cheers for the heads up LXF. Now for the next challenge, how do I use the images I have uploaded on Bricksafe and embed them in Eurobricks. If anyone could tell me, that would be great. Cheers, Jim
  10. There wasn't really much room, but I suppose I could have. It wasn't a big file (roughly 20kb) but I will look into using bricksafe.
  11. So, as promised, here are the pictures: More pictures are available at my Brickshelf account: http://www.brickshel...i?m=Technic-Jim There is also an LDD file, which is attached to this post. Edit: It turns out I can't attach the file, so it is on my Brickshelf. Does anyone know why I can't attach it? It just says: Error This upload failed. Thanks, Jim
  12. This car was a quick build (no pun intended ) that would follow in the footsteps of my first car with RC motors (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=124143#entry2503279). It is powered by 1 RC motor geared down 1.4:1 and has a theoretical top speed of ~11kph. It would have all worked fine had the car not been so top heavy and had a tight steering lock. The result was that the car couldn't steer without flipping over and was almost impossible to control because I made the mistake of putting gears on the servo's output so neutral position on the motor wasn't dead straight with the front wheels. It also didn't help that today was very sunny so the IR control kept on getting interference! There is a short video I made though: This car itself was a failure, but I think my next step will be to use a minizip and change the servo positioning. I can't post any pictures today, but I will soon and an LDD file may present itself as well. Thanks for reading and please leave any feedback, Jim
  13. Anyone else wish this was possible with Lego?!
  14. Cool car! Do you have an LXF of it? *Edit* Just found it! Sorry, for the pointless post!
  15. Really nice model with a great colour scheme. I like it a lot more than the plain yellow of 42009, a set which I happen to own. However, I couldn't work out what you were talking abut when you said it had another really cool function that wasn't in 42009? Can you please explain. Cheers, Jim
  16. Bear in mind you can also buy them online at places such as Amazon and ebay
  17. Remember, In theory and In reality are the same. In theory!
  18. My worst one is probably my ever so simple Caterpillar track crawler: Or my first 4x4 with top notch steering geometry and amazing clover subtitles:
