A tall, haughty looking woman strode into the Hall and examined the Quest Board. The signups for Quest#13 were shown, and she waved her hand to select 6 participants, the names rising to to top of the list whilst the others slowly disappeared. The chosen party was: 1 Guts Holla, Level 1 Rogue (Scubacarrot) 2 Sarick Lanse, Level 1 Mage (Xarrzan) 3 Dak Nikolus, Level 1 Rogue (darthnilius) 4 Nerwen Calmcacil, Level 1 Cleric (Chromeknight) **Party Leader** 5 Fenimor Vish, Level 1 Barbarian (Jorgevorg) 6 Knifk, Level 1 Knight (bioniclover) OOC: I was mindful that we have recently had an influx of newbies who have been quite diligent in posting and created some intriguing characters already. I thought I then may as well go for a full complement of level ones as it would make my first Quest easier to QM. I also wanted a good mix of archetypes but Rogues were incredibly well represented in the signups so there are two of them. I hope all those experienced Heroes who signed up will understand this. If those 6 chosen can confirm in this thread, I will look at getting up the Quest thread on Saturday. Thanks for your interest.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Joker's expression is just superb I wasn't all that fussed about the Batwing vs Jokercoptor but that is one good looking minifigure! -
Tarn grabs Atramor's wrist in the true warrior's handshake, and smiles. "Well met, friend, well met." He nods politely at Thothwick before leaving the Hall.
-
Tarn shook his head. "I have struggled through crypts and fought undead monsters, found a kidnapped boy and helped rid the world of a possible plague. I must now go back to my master Rystael, in his monastary in the Titaan mountains and tell him of the things I have seen, what I have learned, and how I have acted. The Valco honorific I carry is his, and I am duty-bound to share my experiences with him. We will mediate on them together and I will come back a wiser person than before." He offered Atramor his hand.
-
Tarn took this moment to cut in. "I was surprised you were set on destroying such valuable merchandise. I had totally misjudged you," the tall Barbarian said softly.

A nice review LuxorV. I understand why you didn't apply the stickers but I think much of the effect is lost without them. I am also on the look out for this at a discount as Mack will go nicely with the rest of the Cars 1 characters in Flo's V8 Cafe.

"I'm not as spritely as I once was, but I'll take a look," said Winston. He went to pull the box out from under the bed.

Gotham City Mafia: Day One

Eh? I think it's a villain speech pattern. That or we are all Canadian really? And Two-Face, that suit went out of fashion in the 1840s! Ah, I see Bat's kitty plaything has beaten me to that one. -
WBD has said before that the hollow blade holds liquid only.

"Storytime", the first single from the new album from Nightwish. Can't stop playing it and can't wait for the album to come out next month

Tarn trudged wearily into the Hall. He was hoping to see some of his old friends, but it seemed they were off Questing. He hoped they were all OK.

Gotham City Mafia: Day One

A nuclear missile eh? Now that ought to stop the Bat! As to the undercover agents in our midst, we'll just have to be on the lookout for anything suspicious. Although looking at who we have in here, I think all of you are pretty strange to begin with. -
I want to thank Waterbrick Down for a fantastic Quest. I liked the length of it - both this and Quest#5 were the perfect length, I feel. Long enough for players to be invested in the storyline but short enough that it all moves at a good pace and doesn't get bogged down. I said before that I loved your sets, they, along with the folk that populated the Quest, were imaginitive and fit right in to the story that you wanted to tell. I liked the riddles and puzzles, it is nice to get those and have to solve something rather than just hit things. Props go to basically everyone but me for solving them. The last puzzle as to the turban was a bit of a stumper but it was all there in the pics so no complaints. I like the switch between being on a "fetch quest" to deciding whether to prevent a plague. I liked that the stakes were raised and I think that your experience with Sandy's Quest where you technically failed it meant that you realised you could give us the freedom to decide for ourselves. I was glad that Tarn seemed to be on the same page as Atramor and I think those two actually seemed to bond a bit during the Quest which was nice. For the record there was no way that Tarn was going to hand over those ingredients and he woudl have fought anyone on his team who decided otherwise. I wonder what Skrall and En Saban Nur would have done, being more morally ambiguous. I hope this is all good feedback and I just want to say again that I had a really good time playing.

General Discussion and Announcements

I do think Heroica is now big enough to have its own subforum. We have about 5 Heroica Quests, 2 Mafia games and a Mystery game all going on at once. This is a very busy forum now! -

Heroica RPG - Quest #11: A Matter of Principle
Rumble Strike replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
Tarn whispered to the others, "Why are we sugarcoating this? Dr Mynatt already knows how we feel from when we spoke to him after we got the ransom note. But Sir Glorfindel is right, if we say what he said, we are telling the truth.... from a certain point of view." -
"From our investigations it doesn't look like we're going to uncover anything here." said Winston, disappointed. "I hope the other group are having better luck." He picks up the book from drawer one anyway, and reads the title aloud.

"We made the right decision." Tarn says to Atramor, knowing that it was hard for the Rogue to destroy items of value. "Now let's get out of here before the whole place collapses. I'll keep Julian safe!" The lanky Barbarian carries the boy in his arms as they leave. -
"Poor Officer Hutch," said Winston sadly. "He never made it to his circus."

As long as I get the final shot - I never miss.

Heroica RPG - Quest #11: A Matter of Principle

Mindful not to upset Julian, Tarn whispers to the others. "Looks like our Party Leader gets the deciding vote. Can I just remind you guys who want to go on, that the option isn't just "go exploring for cool loot", it's also to hand over to the Guild all the ingredients we have which make the Grey Plague, something I thought we were all against not a few minutes ago? Especially when we didn't trust the Order either?" -
Deadshot, the most skilled assassin in Gotham, reporting in.

Hi there, Questions like this are best off one one topic or the forum would be full of individual requests for advice. That's why there's the Which set should I buy? topic. I am sure a helpful Mod will put this question in there in due course, but that's where you are best asking in future.
