  1. Yeah the Guild of invision talk a good game about helping people but they are actually quite sinister.
  2. Still ranks as one of my favourite experiences on Eurobricks. Def is an evil, evil man. I totally thought we'd won it.
  3. The bandits came, no-one knew why. They tore through the village, killing men and women as they pleased. Then the fires of destruction burned with the smell of ash and the extinction of dreams. Through the smoke came the old man, drawn in particular to one formerly homely dwelling, whose roof had fallen in as the flames leapt higher. He found the boy huddled in the corner, his sooty face cleansed in places by his tears, terrified yet unable to find the courage to move away from the bright flames that threatened to consume him. The cleric took the boy's hand, gave an encouraging smile that beamed out of his wizened features, and led him to safety.
  4. Really like what I've seen so far, great work guys! Etzel's will take some beating though, such a clean, precise build as always. I do like that Fortaan though Wedge. I am just about to post mine.
  5. "We have nearly felled this dragon, keep at it!" screamed Tarn, wielding the Twin Sais against Tianlong from the front row, twice, or if already defeated, he will attack Protector of Justice, same method. Lee, using no element, attacks Tianlong from the front row, twice, or if already defeated, he will attack Protector of Justice, same method. Emeray and Topazor attack Fiery Thunderbolt from the front row. Battle order Thalion Atramor Atramor Tarn Tarn Tesni Tesni Nagure Nagure Benji Benji Lee Lee Emeray Topazor
  6. "Understood!" nodded Tarn, who will use the Twin Sais if he can use them, or the Fauxthril Spear if he can't, attacking Tianlong from the front row, twice. Lee, using no element, attacks Tianlong from the front row, twice. "I don't think Emeray and Topazor can damage the dragon," said Tarn, his brow furrowing as he tried to work this out. "I'll have them attack Fiery Thunderbolt from the front row instead, she's Hexed anyway." Battle order Thalion Atramor Atramor Tarn Tarn Tesni Tesni Nagure Nagure Benji Benji Lee Lee Emeray Topazor
  7. "You want anyone to attack the Protector?" He could cause Thalion some trouble," said Tarn.
  8. I am most definitely in! Can't wait to get a new character and start roleplaying
  9. Nice to see Quest#52 really meant something to Guts and Nerwen. I really wanted to finish off that story for them. I cover a lot of this in my profile, but here's Tarn: 1. Tarn's fourth Quest saw him teaming up with some well-known heroes as they became Ambassadors To Dastan in Quest#30, hosted by Zepher. This was an epic Quest lasting 4 months that tested Tarn's ability and character. Responsible for the unfortunate death of an innocent based on compelling evidence at the time, Tarn left Dastan a wiser but more sombre man. Fantastic group of people, great roleplay, big decisions and outcomes. Had a massive impact on Tarn. Plus his relationship with Ella is a big part of his character now. 2. Tarn's fifth Quest saw him attempt to defeat the 108 Stars of Destiny in Quest#50, hosted by the creator of the Heroica RPG, Sandy. Sadly this continuous battle proved too great, and Tarn and his companions failed about two-thirds of the way through the mysterious pagoda. Tarn's first failure and dealing with that is always good roleplay potential. 3. Tarn's second quest was Quest#11 "A Matter of Principle", hosted by Waterbrick Down, where the party helped track down a missing boy and prevented possible armageddon. Was just finding Tarn's voice at this time, and WBD's character-heavy plot was perfect for that. Met Atramor. 4. Tarn's first quest was Quest#5 "Cave Sounds", hosted by Sisco/cralegoboy. Tarn was chosen as party leader and successfully lead the party against Crozen Porthiar and her burial chamber friends. Tarn's debut, and party leader to boot. Met Tesni and Ellaria. 5. Tarn's sixth Quest saw him exploring a strange and lethal remote island populated by fearsome dinosaurs giant lizards in Quest#67: Nova Tertia. Was just what Tarn needed after his failure in Quest#50. 6. Tarn's third quest was Quest#20: Missing Minerals!, hosted by UsernameMDM, leading a party into the Silverpick mine to find out what happened to the missing minerals. We found a strange Gobbler creature, killed it, and went back for a big reward. Heroes, eh! Set in his homeland of Titaan.
  10. Tarn looked quizzically at Atramor. So far they had managed to avoid falling foul of the elemental dragon, but now, with the Constellation falling, they had to deal with it. He knew his friend had a plan; he had not steered them wrong so far this Quest. "I am not sure what you are cooking up, Atramor, but I am sure it will be good!" he whispered to the Witch. "However I do not think healing will work against the dragon, it is not Undead." Tarn attacks the Jade Unicorn from the front row, twice using Lion's Heart. If the Jade Unicorn is defeated, he will attack the Fiery Thunderbolt, same method. Lee uses Darkness and attacks the Jade Unicorn from the front row, twice. If the Jade Unicorn is defeated, he will attack the Fiery Thunderbolt, same method. Emeray and Topazor both attack the Fiery Thunderbolt from the front row. If she is dead, the will do nothing. Battle Order: Atramor Atramor Tarn Tarn Tesni Tesni Nagure Nagure Benji Benji Lee Lee Thalion Emeray Topazor
  11. I am really looking forward to it. A Heroica-styled Bloodbath! Absolutely superb. And because it's set in the past, it's automatically canon.
  12. Phew, finally fixed all the links/pics in my profile!

  13. I am happy to be a reserve if needed. 1. What is your mafia experience here on EB? How about other sites? Fabuland Housewives Mafia School, Gotham Mafia, Yakuza Mafia, The Pearl. Nothing on other sites. I am interested in Mafia because of the peopleplaying rather than the game itself, if that makes sense. 2. What do you think of your performance in EB Mafia so far? What are your strengths and weakness? What do you want to improve? Pretty poor, as I'm fairly new at Mafia I don't post much and come under suspicion easily. Basically my Town game is Scummy and my Scum game is, er, also Scummy. 3. What do you think of the no-PM rule? I approve of the rule as I rarely PM in Mafia. Although I did smile when Bob said the same thing as I remember him flailing like a mad thing PMing everyone multiple times to protest his innocence in one game before.
  14. Tarn yelped as the Blue Faced Beast struck him, but his blood was thundering in his ears and he barely felt the hit. He nodded to the Great Blade. "Nice sword. I shall look great wielding that once we have finished stomping you into the ground!". Tarn attacks him from the front row twice using Lion's Heart. If he has been defeated, Tarn will take on Cloud Dragon and if he has been defeated, Tarn will attack Jade Unicorn. Lee uses Darkness to attack Great Blade from the front row, twice. If he has been defeated, Lee will take on Cloud Dragon and if he has been defeated, Lee will attack Jade Unicorn. Emeray attacks the Jade Unicorn from the front row. If he has been defeated, Emeray will take on Cloud Dragon and if he has been defeated, Emeray will attack Fiery Thunderbolt. Topazor attacks Cloud Dragon from the front row. If he has been defeated, Topazor will attack Jade Unicorn. Battle Order: Nagure Nagure Thalion Tesni Tesni Tarn Tarn Lee Lee Benji Benji Atramor Atramor Emeray Topazor
  15. "Keep at them, the Constellation will fall!" encouraged Tarn, satisfied with how the battle was going so far. He aims at Blue Beast and attacks her from the back row with Lion's Heart, twice. If she is defeated, he will attack the Resourceful Star instead, same weapon and row. Lee uses no element against Protector of Justice, from the back row, then using Darkness, attacks Jade Unicorn from the back row. Emeray and Topazor do nothing in the back row. Battle Order: Atramor Atramor Nagure Thalion Tesni Tesni Nagure Tarn Tarn Benji Benji Lee Lee Emeray Topazor
  16. I would give Endgame a fairly innocuous plot and some characters and see how he'd turn it ino a multi-stage boss fight with passive specials galore!
  17. Maybe a bit of both. A sharing of the calculative work in running rounds as well as a sharing of ideas and concepts.
  18. I haven't really got the time or the inclination at the moment to host any more Quests, but still have some character names/concepts/stories so if anyone wants to host but is struggling to come up with ideas, I have several. I'm not really sure why there haven't been more collaborative Quests, especially as people get to Advanced and Expert classes and the game gets so complicated, unless it's something Sandy has discouraged.
  19. Tarn was sweating with the effort he was putting in to the fight, his moves flowing as he became a frenzied warrior. He snarls at Blue Beast and attacks her from the front row with Lion's Heart, twice. Lee uses no element against Protector of Justice, both times in the back row. Emeray takes on Fiery Thunderbolt from the front row and Topazor attacks Blue Beast from the front row. Battle Order: Atramor Atramor Nagure Thalion Tesni Tesni Nagure Tarn Tarn Benji Benji Lee Lee Emeray Topazor
  20. Tarn motioned to the minuscule Panther Head that hs time was up, attacking him from the back row with Helbaerend. He repeats his attack unless Panther Head is defeated, whereupon he will attack Cloud Dragon from the back row. Lee uses Darkness against Blue Faced Beast and then no element against Protector of Justice, both times in the back row. Emeray and Topazor do nothing, back row. Battle Order: Atramor Atramor Nagure Thalion Tesni Tesni Nagure Tarn Tarn Benji Benji Lee Lee Emeray Topazor
  21. Tarn nods at Atramor and takes out Helbaerend for its double effectiveness on beasts, and attacks Panther Head twice from the back row. Lee uses Darkness and attacks Great Blade twice from the back row. Emeray and Topazor do nothing, back row. Battle Order: Nagure Nagure Thalion (need to make sure he takes Dragon free hit, is this right?) Tesni Tesni Tarn Tarn Lee Lee Benji Benji Atramor Atramor Emeray Topazor
  22. I do love a good moral dilemma at the end of a Quest. This is great stuff from everyone in Quest#75, I am enjoying the speeches immensely. What's great is that Tarn now has a lot of Heroica experience to draw from when he's making his decision, and it's nice to be able to factor that in.
  23. "My hands are stained with blood, Protector, I agree. Even the blood of innocents. The path of the righteous man is not an easy one to walk, but throughout my life I have done more good than harm, of that I am sure. The balance of the ledger falls in my favour. I do not believe you can say the same, with your casual justification of slaughtering those Tao Warriors. Then you correctly point out that we have done the same to you Stars of Destiny, but you had forcefully and brutally stolen something that did not belong to you. Did you not think there would be a reckoning? You should have found another way to make your point to the Council. Killing never solves anything, it just creates more problems. Hand over Jun, and we may yet be able to stop this descending into further bloodshed."
  24. Yep, that's what I did in Quest#52. Riot squads.
  25. "No killing is honourable, whatever the motive behind it. This is something I learned to my cost in Dastan." Here Tarn looked across at Atramor, before focusing again on the aoi. "I am not naive enough to think any revolution comes without bloodshed, however your hands are definitely stained with too much blood, Protector. I have seen wondrous things from the Ji Pei, technological marvels that could one day benefit the whole world. The Lady Shanxian is a strong-willed and perhaps ruthless leader, of that I have no doubt, but from what I understand, she rules legitimately. I will not take part in an uprising, although my friends here may think differently."
