Being in a Zepher quest is it's own reward
-
Tarn likewise discreetly hands out a Smelling Salts to Tesni and Nagure.
-
So many vultures out there! We have to beat the guys to get their stuff! Won't be easy!
-
Tarn smiled at Jun, "I am delighted to see you are alive. When you did not appear with us outside the pagoda, I feared the worst. Your mother sent us on a mission of vengeance but I always held a forlorn hope that you survived. But I have to admit, I thought if that came to pass, it would be a rescue. It does not appear to be the case. We will hear what your Master has to say."
-
"The chances are very high that one of our two Lucky, Hastened Bezerkers would get a War Cry once we are in battle. But I can give you a Mead if you want," said Tarn.
-
Tarn coldly looks down at the body of the Yeti. "Well that frees up another slot for an automaton!" he said cheerfully. Tarn revives Nagure using a Phoenix Essence. "That was a surprise alright!" Having listened to the views of his team-mates, he decides on which automata to take. "I have listened to everyone, and the clear consensus is that we take Tarn, Tesni, Atramor, Thalion, Benji, Nagure, Lee, Emeray and Topazor. That means we will benefit from double health and being lucky. So I would use Smelling Salts of you have them so that we are all hastened." Tarn took a Smelling Salts, leaving him with 2 left. "I have two more if anyone needs them."
-
"I have 5 Nostrums, which I am of course willing to share. I also have plenty of Meads. This is why I believe Emeray and Garnetic are the best choices, although initially I immediately thought of Topazor and Rubio. Let us discuss this matter further, Tesni, Nagure, Benji, what say you?"
-
Tarn's heart leaped as they figure out the puzzle, only for it to drop into his feet as he realised that they could not all make the journey, at least in one go. "It is amost fitting - there are nine of them and so there shall be nine of us. I suggest - though it is of course up for debate - that myself, Tesni, Atramor, Benji, Nagure, Thalion and Lee go, along with two of the automata who grant abilities that we cannot easily get from consumables - Emeray and Garnetic for their Inspired (double health} and reinforced (double SP) abilities. Thoughts?"
-
Tarn had finished wracking his brains. Apart from the Faceless missing from that list, he could not argue with Atramor. "The eight names you spoke, along with the Protector, myself and Tesni have not faced yet. They are the last nine. It troubles me that one is called "Protector of Justice", I knew there were more to these bandits than meets the eye."
-
Not knowing if Atramor was correct, Tarn wracked his brains to try to work out which of these names they had not faced, either here or in the pagoda.
-
"We can make it back, as we can Flee. Just be ready if we bring the party to you!"
-
"Sounds good!" said Tarn, and headed carefully down the Western passage.
-
"You told me last time that you cannot have too many weapons, use it wisely!" grinned Tarn. "I do not understand the runes, if that is what they are, but I do know that Lee is a capable fellow. Do you not think we should follow Lee?"
-
OOC: Apologies for doing it like this, but it is a lot of stuff! I hope everyone will be happy with distribution, let me know if you feel you have been treated... unfairly. Some stuff no-one can use, so Tarn will keep for now. Party leader, please divide the spoils of the battle: 6x Remedy (Removes all negative effects from the target.) 1 to each of the 6 PCs Tiger Balm (Grants immunity to all effects (positive and negative) for one battle.) Give to Tesni Phoenix Incense (Revives all fallen allies with full health during a battle.) Give to Nagure Soma (Causes the blessed-effect, allowing the target to recover 3 health at the end of each round for the duration of one battle.) Give to Atramor 2x Deadly Venom (Use on a weapon to make it cause the badly poisoned-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A badly poisoned enemy loses 10 health each turn.) One to Benji, one to Tesni 6x Smoke Bomb (Allows the party to escape the battle.) 1 to each of the 6 PCs Magic Compass (Allows the hero to know the right direction.) Give to Thalion Ruby (fire-elemental gem) Give to Atramor Opal (ice-elemental gem) Tarn to keep for now Aquatic Labrys (WP:20, deals 4x damage to enemies weak to water, axe) Give to Tesni Batarang (WP:13, darkness-elemental throwing weapon) Give to Thalion Big Surprise (A surprise for someone big) Give to Nagure Cannon Parts (quest item) Tarn keeps as party leader Death Mask (Increases assassination chances to 1/3 when the target’s health is lowered to 1/3; suitable to assassins; headwear) Tarn keeps for now Flagpole (WP:3, +3 SP to the whole party whenever equipped, lance) Can Lee equip this for now? If not, give to Benji Kusarigama (WP:10, whip) Give to Benji Skull Shield (SP:6; immunity to darkness-elemental damage; suitable to Black Knights only.) Tarn to keep for now Tiger Claws (WP:12, double against humanoids; dual strike dagger) Give to Atramor Tiger Slayer (WP:10, double against enemies with “tiger” in their name; spear) Give to Nagure 260 gold 45 gold to each PC, Tarn keeps 35

Quests have featured micro-scale buildings before, although not exclusively.

"They call themselves the 108 Stars of Destiny, therefore I imagine the Constellation is an inner-circle of the highest ranks, rather than a physical object such as a ship. Although with Ji Pei technology so advanced, they may have stolen something that can indeed take them to the very stars for all I know." OOC: Tarn also gets 1 gold for each enemy in the battle due to the noble mask
-
Tarn clapped Atramor on the shoulder heartily. "This victory is yours, my friend. We are the battering rams, the steel enforcers; point Nagure or Tesni or Benji at a target and watch it fall, but you are the keen eye behind it all. My gratitude, as always." He signalled the pile of loot with a flourish of one hand and smiled at the others. "You have all done amazing things here this day. I am humbled and proud to fight alongside you. Let me know which items you would like, I am sure these will be useful as we head towards the Constellation. For now, let us gather our strength and our thoughts before we make our next move."
-
Tarn allowed himself a smirk as the tide turned and the bandits fell. He pointed at the God of Death. "Before you succumb to the many blows of our righteous fury, know that we will destroy every last one of you bandits, including your precious Constellation." Lee attacks the God of Death using Light from the front row, twice. If he is already defeated, Lee will do nothing in the back row. Benji attacks the God of Death using Grogmas Cannon from the back row, twice, unless in beast mode, where he will attack from the front. If he is already defeated, Benji will do nothing in the back row. Tarn and the automata do nothing in the back row. Battle order: >Atramor >Atramor Nagure Nagure >Benji >Benji Tesni Tesni Lee Lee >Thalion >Thalion >Tarn >Tarn >Opalix >Aquamarq >Topazor >Garnetic >Rubio >Emeray

Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka — Introduction and Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Brickdoctor's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
As much fun as it would have been to be an Ewok, I have chosen to be the cycloptic Abyssin, who at least has a chance at speaking Galactic Basic. Could my Alliance avatar be changed to this one: -

OK, thank you for the clarification. I guess to make thing easier it's the Ewok or the Abyssin then. I will decide tomorrow
