Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Four
Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I did not press my attack of Fernandu in the night, after the events that proved Retak to be Nephilim. This means his 'clearance' of Emmanuelle as Heroica must be called into question, and therefore Fernandu's act of attacking Emmanuelle may be of a Heroican against a Nephilim, hence my reluctance to attack again. I will say, though, that both have not spoken up much during the day, so it may simply be two quiet Heroicans. What say you." -
Hey you caused that yourself by something you said about a weapon given by Sorona not working against her. I though it was a good idea. Totally justified in storyline terms

Tarn arrayed some of the weaponry taken from the 108 Stars of Destiny out on his table. Most of it he could not use, so was willing to let it go for a reasonable price before seeing that odious Fabian. For Sale: Skull Shield (SP:6; immunity to darkness; suitable to Black Knights only) - 100 gold Death Mask (Increases assassination chances to 1/3 when the target’s health is lowered to 1/3; suitable to assassins; headwear) - 50 gold

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis: Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
On the roleplay thing. much like Mafia, it appears that roleplaying decreases the longer the games go on. I always put Sir Rubinstein's words in speech marks to indicate that it is him (the character) talking. -
Tarn wanders back into the Hall, and sits at his usual place, in the corner. It was strange, but since coming to Heroica he had not spend a lot of time in the Freeport itself.

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three
Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"A lot of talk. Look, Calico, Brienne, Octopus Girl have been very vocal throughout. That doesn't mean they are 100% Heroica. We can't know for sure. But what we can see, is both talking and proactive play. Same for Cromeo and Theodor. I don't know either is definitely Heroica, but their play suggests it. With 42 heroes here there was no need for a group of Nephiliim to take centre stage like this. They could have just hidden in the shadows, watching, like a lot of heroes are doing, Jeddam."- 343 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three
Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I believe Oxtrong was going to do it but got killed before the results were found out. But if we kill Fernandu and he turns out to be Heroican, then we know Emmanuelle was lying. And if she was lying, then she's probably Nephilim, and so is Retak. If my logic isn't too convaluted." So we either kill a Nephilim, or we have much to go on."- 343 replies

Sandy, I felt that the second bite of the cherry was more successful than the first go. You know my reasons for the issues around teh Continuous Battle, but here you threw a lot at us at once which made it a lot more exciting. Having the automata and Lee along made us a bit overpowered, I can see you tried to tinker with that as it went on. I guess the one thing you couldn't plan for was the Duplovian Helmet + Pheles Rod combination which really was our win button. I felt I contributed a lot more in battles as a Raider than a Bezerker, and I really hope everyone is OK with loot distribution. Not a great deal of role-playing chances, but I think I made the most of tying it in with Tarn's regrets about the pagoda mission and Ella's prediction we would find Jun. The moral choice at the end was good, though. Sets and pictures were awesome, as always. Very beautiful, and the rest of the Stars were just as inventive and colourful as the first lot. Many, many thanks to CMP who really was the de facto Party Leader with his tactical nous. We may have got there without his fine battle plans and strategies, but we would have taken much longer about it! Thanks to Sandy and my fellow Questers, this was great fun.

Tarn bowed at the Lady Shanxian's words. "It has been an honour helping you, Ambassador. Jun is a brave and skilled warrior, and Lee is one of the bravest and strongest souls I have met, You are lucky to have him by your side. I am pleased to have finally completed our mission for you, and wish you a successful recovery. Fare thee well."

Tarn thanked Monalisa for all her help on this quest. He was in awe of the woman, and Vincent. Such brilliant minds. He knew Tesni would be OK with him giving the Divine Cannonade to Benji. On arrival at the Ji Pei Palace Tarn was distressed to see the Ambassador's condition. "Lady Shanxian, it pains me to see you so, although I am delighted to have brought Jun back to you. You remember myself and Tesni tried before to rid the world of the 108 Stars of Destiny, well in a testament to her spirit, tenacity and strength, it was Tesni who delivered the final blow to the so-called Protector of Justice, although everyone here fought valiantly in dispatching the horde of enemies faced. I can ask for no braver comrades."

"Benji, as we never found Sham to see if we could get you some Mythril, is there anything in my inventory would would like?"

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis: Discussion
Rumble Strike replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Echoing Chromeknight's point, I would also like to say how fantastic the characters are in their diversity, bringing in some player-created races along with other QM-invented ones. Really nice to see, especially with Sandy's lovely pics. The Veterans and Heroica Hall are getting a real showing off too. -
Tarn inwardly smiled. He knew that by laying it on thick to the Thumb, he would more likely get him to agree. He bowed respectfully to the Thumb. "I appreciate your time in this matter. We will be on our way." OOC: I am happy to have the conclusion posted

I love the auditions at the end, very well done -
Heroica as a Bruckheimer film? Nice!

I think Sandy will just get annoyed we aren't leaving and blow us all up! Or we'll get captured and yet another rescue mission will have to take place.

Despite the danger Tarn fleetingly wished he could see this Citadel in the Clouds that the Thumb mentioned. He was sure it would be a beautiful sight, perhaps a white domed city surrounded by red clouds... He stared at the Loremaster intently, knowing that the Elder was trying to protect them, but Tarn still could not go without making sure. "I do not mean to be a hindrance, sir. I mean no disrespect to the ruling Council and do not by any means question the integrity and the reasonableness of yourself or your guards in the service of it. As long as you give your word that these villagers will not be harmed, we will leave."
