Tarn looked at Ellaria in thanks. As always the young cleric offered up the knowledge he needed as Party Leader. He thought that his former mentor Rystael would love to spend some time with her and teach her the ways of the Valco clerical order. Perhaps once this Quest was over he would mention that to her. "OK then, as Althior already has an element-fused weapon, Ellaria has just had a Fire Staff and Tesni has her Great Sword of Darkness, perhaps if Althior takes just the one gem and then Alexis, Hoke and myself share the other 3, to use fuse or sell?"

"Althior, how about you take two gems you like the look of, and then I give one each to Hoke and Tesni, presuming they can sell them to other mages or get a price for them at Heroica's Marketplace? Sounds fair?"

"Oooh, more stuff!" exclaimed Tarn. "The Ancient Throwing Dagger (WP: 7) (Suitable for Rangers and Rogues) I would like to give to Alexis as she has not had all that much Ranger-specific items. The gems: Aquamarine Gem x1 Topaz Gem x1 Emerald Gem x1 Ruby Gem x1 As a Barbarian, I am unfamiliar with their value and uses." Tarn looks a bit befuddled. "I do not know the best way to divide these. As our resident mage, Althior, what do you suggest?"

"We did it!" shouted Tarn triumphantly. "The spoils shall be divided thusly: The Fire Staff (WP: 9) (Suitable for Mages and Clerics) I would like to give to Ellaria. Ellaria, you have been our guide in this Quest, and your extensive knowledge of the perils facing us has been invaluable." The Fire Bomb I would like to give to Alexis (assuming she gives back Hoke's Cultist Hat). That was a great shot on Crozen to finish this battle. Your skill with the bow is amazing to me and has helped us so often in this Quest. The 200 gold I would like to divide up equally between the party. 32 gold pieces to each member (totalling 192) with an additional 8 pieces to Ellaria as she has the least amount of gold in the party. I hope this is acceptable to you all, friends." Tarn went to pick up the key left behind in the dust.

That pic is awesome! Really glad to see you have Tarn in there, and there's most of Quest 5 all together which is lovely

Winston stood closer to the screen and squinted his eyes. "It appears that the Chief is trying to make an arrest, there is a confrontation, and then the Chief is pushed and hits the fountain. The second person doesn't appear to do anything to hurt the Chief, but they do nothing to help him and then run away with the killer." He looked at the others. "It doesn't appear to be a pre-meditated crime, rather an altercation that got out of hand and had tragic consequences." Winston pushed his glasses back up his nose and sat down again.

Tarn smiled at Ellaria, encouraging her. "You are doing great Ellaria. We will win this soon enough." Battle order same as last time, and like last time Tarn will attack Crozen from the back row.

I love the artistic battle droids! Love the way you have the arms behind the back in the "critic" pose. We need a whole spin-off series of those two!

Winston looks across at this daughter and frowns. "Amber, how many more times? The "stuff" in my workroom is not junk[]/i], they are priceless antiques. I hope that you will appreciate them one day."

I can see why people would be upset about some fairly straight re-releases of earlier sets but as I missed out on all of them it doesn't bother me. I think the first wave is a bit too Batman-centric considering they have all of the DCU to take from but at least they know that Batman always sells.

Tarn gripped his new battle axe tighter. "Leyferath, bring me your storm of light", he murmured. He stole a look at his companions. They had all chosen their targets and he had complete faith in them that they would end this battle swiftly. His gaze lingered on Tesni. The tall barbarian woman was poised, ready to strike with Cysgodion. Tarn thought her so beautiful; a lithe, muscular presense that made his heart beat much faster than the effect the Undead dangers he was facing.

Winston spoke up. "I second the idea that we go as separate groups to the two places that had CCTV. I think that's our most solid lead at the moment."

"We've almost got this!" Tarn encouraged his friends. "Crozen ain't so tough, and we'll take care of any resurrected enemies in short order." Battle order: Tesni Alexis Althior Ellaria Tarn Hoke Tarn will attack Crozen from the back row and hope for another lucky roll.

Winston grumbles. "That FBI man sassing us. He's been trained for years to investigate stuff like this. We are well-meaning but clueless townsfolk who'se main suspect is the deputy! What does he expect? I would like to know what building is closest to the fountain where the Chief was murdered.

That's cool. I have no problem with a creative hero character.

Are we allowing a skeleton warrior in? It'd make it really hard to balance the quests if they are classed as Undead and cannot be hurt by normal weapons!

I am also enjoying reading the other quests and seeing the character interaction, as well as some lovely sets. I think the bar has been raised pretty high by Sandy and the current QMs. It'll be interesting to see how the next bunch of Quests go, as it appears there are a few of us working on some.

OOC: It's worth doing this round as Crozen can't damage anyone (once). With Hoke and Alexis both tied up with the transfer of the Cultist Hat, I'd like to change the Battle Order. I'd like order this round as follows: Tesni Althior Ellaria Tarn Hoke Alexis

Tarn is cheered mightily by the fact he made the matriarch wince, and the general success of the first skirmish. "Keep on her Adventurers, we'll show this Undead crone she shouldn't have tried to mess with us!" Tarn will again attack Crozen from the back row. Battle order remains as was, with Tarn and Alexis taking positions 5 and 6 due to them not being able to damage Crozen directly.

Not sure we needed two Harry Potters but some of the sets look OK. The ADU one being my favourite.

Winston frowned. "I know we want to solve these murders but it does appear that Deputy Chief Scott hasn't exactly left much incriminating evidence casually lying around. As you'd expect! Perhaps we should move on to another location soon."
