Excellent garage 'CGH'! The exterior is very detailed and the sign is fantastic! I really like the garage door you made. It look like a great solution for a wide door. Finally great job on the rat rod and chopper too

Thanks 'HighFlyer' and'ER0L' for your comments. "ER0L', I thought about that while building the truck. I probably would have ended up with an H1 instead, because of having to use a vertical flat windshield. I may try and build a H1 8W next

6325 Package Pick-Up and two Maersk cars with containers

I keep my track and collection in plastic totes. If you don't want to spend $10-20 bucks on one, cardboard boxes will also do. I keep my RC track in there

TTX Stickers Available at Ministicker.NL
LEGO Guy Bri replied to SpokaneSteve's topic in LEGO Train Tech
To add a link copy the website address then click this and paste the address where it says "insert link". The box below is to give the link a title that will look better than something like, http://www.eurobrick...&f=122&t=65817. Here is the link to Ministicker.NL. It's a pretty neat site -
Thanks for everyone's comments and suggestions! I do prefer the H1 over the H2 I've thought about making an 8W, but it might be a little to big compared to my other city vehicles. Definitely would need bigger tires Unfortunately this is just a civi-model. A hand gun would tear through it I do plan to change the bumpers to dark or light bluish grey when I get some of those plates in the right lengths. Same goes for the mirrors, I don't have a good variety of hinge parts and none in yellow, but it's also in the works. I'm not thrilled with the windows or roof either, but 'DrNightmare' is correct. This is the only way to fit a minifig in

Fantastic building 'Badsneaker'! This is impressively large and very detailed like your other works. Great job

Great classic reviews 'T_d_B'. You should look into joining the Reviewers Academy to hone your interest : )

V-LV-57B It's been a little while since I've made a "modern" styled MOC. While trolling eBay, I saw this Hummer H1, I decided I wanted a Hummer. I used a little Matchbox (I minor in Matchbox/Hot Wheels), in my "Lego Room", to MOC my own. On a side note, the Matchbox is actually a concept model, prior to the actual production model. The tail lights on the MOC version are similar to that of the MB version, located on the D pillars instead their actual location. A photo of the rear of the MB version would give you the idea of what I was working with, but I hope my word will do. I did my best to capture the basic look and details of the SUV, but feel as if a more skilled builder could do better. So, here is my take on a Hummer H2, bear in mind it is an ugly SOB. That does not reflect my opinion on actual H2's First the MB version: On to the MOC: Ideally the doors should be bigger and the windows low and wide and could use some mirrors. It is designed as a four seater, but being 6W, that is impossible. It'll comfortably hold two The rear: I plan to replace the clear glass with trans-black... eventually. The engine bay: I wanted to give it a little detail, giving it a working hood/bonnet, engine, and my take on nitrogen gas shocks. Profile, with a questionable "upgrade": The pipes kill ground clearance, but doesn't look too bad IMHO. I would like opinions on whether to keep them or not Finally a comparison in size to a modified 7635 4x4 (among it's mods, it is lifted a stud). Both are lined against the baseplate studs. Comments and suggestions welcomed. Thanks for viewing!

Thanks 'Big Cam' for doing that and the quick tutorial. I don't normally link vids, but that was to well done to not. I knew about the media tag part, but wasn't getting the full link right

Very nice 'BRG', I'm sure she'll love it! How come you didn't buy the pieces through Bricklink? Probably would have saved you a pretty penny. Anyway great remake of the house
-
Neat service truck 'EM4CZ'. I like the details of the machine on the back. It looks like they are calibrating the rail alignment? It's a neat idea I haven't seen on here before. Keep up the great work

Finally decided to buy 3182 Airport. Hopefully my last aviation set for a very long time

Fantastic scene 'ISC'! There is so much going on; so much to look at! The detailed work is wonderful, especial the cobblestone road. This is a really great MOC

Brickshelf is finally up! I just uploaded a bunch of pics during this window of opportunity. I must say, it loads pics much faster. I don't have to give the system that few second interval, I used to have to give, in between loads. New servers?

Getting in the mood... for sorting!
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Dakar A's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I hated sorting at first. I didn't and still don't have a t.v. or radio nearby and no iPod set up... I started with two plastic, small drawer, stackers and a 25lb bin of Lego. It was a nightmare figuring what pieces I wanted mixed and what I wanted individually per drawer. Then came to location of the drawers. Based on similar or unique parts and colors. Then space ran out, so more stackers and more rearranging. Now that its mostly sorted the way thats easy for me to find parts, sorting is a very short process. Unless I receive an order where all the parts are in one bag... On a side note, those that order from BL: Do you check each piece for proper count or assume they have the right count for you? And what do you consider a "large" BL order? -
Could this be a new "golden age" of LEGO train?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to DaddyDeuce's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think the golden age, for me, encompassed the 1990's. IThis was my era, had I been a 60's, 70's, or 80's I would have a different opinion. They both shared the option of individual rolling stock, but the 9V has the same track used today, minus the metal of course. The 9V also has better looking train sets, IMHO. If I had to choose between the Metroliner or the current Passenger Train, it's the metro, easy. I also believe the 9V is a better system. It goes any where, doesn't require batters (I really hate batteries), there are no interference or signal blocking issues, and my main pet peeve about PF, the space taken up by the equipment. Then again, it's all in what generation appeals to you the most. When it comes to sets, like the Santa Fe, Hobby Train, Maersk, EN, BNSF, MOT, etc, I don't count them. Power is extra. I look at it like I do City and Modulars. What do you prefer Classic 4W (9V) or Modern 6W (PF)? Modulars are more modern, but they are also more realistic models, like those listed trains. Kind of their own class -
It's not really an entire set, an offer for two Maersk cars and containers, each for $39.5 each. Sound like a deal or not so much? The offer clock is a tickin'

I build all my sets, except for new in the box sets. They will stay NIB, do to storage issues, until I can move to a larger house. I am confined to a long closet for either display or storage. The alternative is an attic, very hot or very cold; bad for Lego. I chose storage, but I haven't MOCced from a set since I was a very young kid. Ever since I really started collecting, at about 8, I kept EVERY set intact, with all it's original pieces. MOCs came from collections given by family friends when their children grew out. My current MOCs come from BL orders and my friends old collections. I just can't break'em up! Then again I'm no MOC expert, rather a simpleton in that aspect

Awesome bridge 'Stacker9000'! It's a great design and application with those trusses. You sure have a lot! Neat looking loco too, care to show that as well? Looking forward to hopefully seeing this in a layout

I have to go with the 10197 Fire Brigade. The two are great, fun builds, but they lacked an interior. I know, leaves room for customization, ect. That's a nice feature to have, or lack there of, I suppose. The GG is also very nice, but in comparison, interior wise, I like FB. There are more unique parts throughout and a very cool truck. The last three look great, but I don't own the PS and have the GE still in the box for a later build... For me, based on looks and no build, the rest are: FB, CC, GG, TH, PS, MS

Thanks 'rriggs' for info. At least recent set stickers can easily be removed and reset. I've straightened many stickers on 2nd hand sets

I've used my iPhone to view EB, as well as a few others (i.e. eBay). I'm not sure how it compares to other phones, but viewing and typing are no bother to me. I honestly hate the mobile version of eBay... I have a much more difficult time going through my profile or managing things. Then again, I only use it if I am trying to win something and don't have my computer, otherwise I wait til' I get home

Awesome terminal 'ZueriHB'. I like the five ballast loaders. I bought a couple extra with the tipper cars to do the same. It's a great layout, is it part or going to be part of a larger layout? Keep up the great work, I think that red flatbed is in a bad place in the 3rd pic

Congratulations to the winners! Your tags age awesome, so envious! Great job to all entries, some really stood out, and especially 'Woolie' for his winning shot
