Layout WIP: I've finally started a real layout!
LEGO Guy Bri replied to kyphur's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Holy cow, that is going to be A LOT of round plates! And regular plates for that matter... Given any thought to an estimate? -
Very nice build 'bricksboy'! Great job accurately capturing it's look and details. Keep up the great builds

I've purchased numerous manuals, mainly from Bricklink. All are for second hand sets purchased on eBay that didn't have their originals. They sell cheaper if without instructions. Most were for classic or vintage but, a few have been for newer sets. I like to have complete sets and don't care for PDFs or printed copies

4645 Harbor for $66 from Amazon, kind of wish I hadn't. Meant to send in for prescription to Motor Trend. Somehow Amazon messed up, so I got to cancel my order. Instead I purchased a less expensive BL order

Great racer 'Peppermint'. Looks like a formidable opponent to Speed himself, as well as, your other three racers. Maybe get a couple green cheese slopes to make the front bumper a little more aerodynamic? Great MOC, I hope to see some more new additions

Great build 'AT'! Lots of unique colors. I like the details throughout this modular, especially on the "Sushi" sign. I'd like to learn how to build those a bit better. Keep up the great builds

Cool set of cars 'Dakar'. My favorites are the orang and green, though I agree with 'L@go' on its rear bumper being too square. I do like the sloped back, it looks aggressive. Maybe add some translucent light blue plates for side windows? Great job on these

1. Male 2. 24ish 3. 3 or 4; 1638 Basic Blue Bucket 4. Favorite theme has and always will be City and all of it's subthemes. 5. It's a quality product and I love it's endless possibilities and wide range of products to create a thriving city.

Thank you for the links. I had forgotten where they where. Is there a way to design your own bitmaps of MOCed cars?- 578 replies

Now that is a proper F1. I hope you plan to build a few more in different colors. I wish TLG would redo their F1's from 96' like this. Great job on this build

After looking at the photos 'lightningtiger' posted yesterday, I noticed that the large dump truck of 4202 has many differences from the image on the box. Look at the bed, in between the wheels, and the headlights... There is also no piece count. Is there a particular reason this was done?

This is really great 'rriggs'! Excellent job on the stickers, they came out very well. This inspired me to start building my own dealership

Neat loader 'H P'. It has a very nice look and I really like the colors chosen. Great job

Right now, as far as Pirate ships go, I only have the IFS. I hope to get the QAR and BP someday, but city is top priority

"The Dark Ages" - How long were you away from Lego?
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For me, it was 2004. I was 15 that year, going on 16. I had always been passionate about cars and now could legally drive one. It was also the year I started partying and finding new things to do with girls. That and looking through the few Lego catalogs that arrived, I felt I wasn't missing anything. City and World City sets were, for the most part lame. Back in 2009, something inside triggered. I think I typed in "Lego City" on youtube or google and found some websites with some nice layouts. After searching eBay and buying 10159 Century Skyway, I really started collecting -
Awesome 930 'ZetoVince'! It's very detailed for a minifig sized car. Great job
-
Neat town house 'Dakar A'. I like the design and color choice for this build. The giant windows also add a nice feature. As a suggestion, I would have take the lights over the front door and placed them on the side over the garden. Anyway, great build, keep it up

Very nice 'dede_la_fee'! It's a color that works well. I like the added touch of the vine on the back and the interior furnishings. Great job
