  1. Great job on this disaster scene 'Skrytsson'! Talk about a rude awakening. Did the booze hound notice what was going on? The damage is very realistic and I really like the roofing technique used. Finally nice job on the other two scenes. The alien is awesome! Keep up the great work
  2. Very nice shunter 'Steinkopf'. I like the curves of this little engine and the extra set of wheels work very well with this MOC. Keep up the fantastic engines
  3. The 6014 wheel and tire is pretty much the best tire to use. It will fit in a wide range of MOCs from 4W to 8W. Models of this tire include: 6014ac01 6014bc01 6014bc02 6014bc03 6014bc04 6014bc05 6014bc06 The 03, 04, and 05 are the newer, common version of this wheel and tire. the ac01 is the original
  4. Awesome, just awesome, 'Konjara'! She looks wonderful and man is she big! I hope you have a nice place to display her. It's been great to watch you build it over the months. Stellar work
  5. Lovely house 'happymark'. I love the details on the inside. That poster was a great idea! Do you plan to tile in the kitchen? I think that would complete this build. Great job
  6. Earlier this morning BBC's Top Gear's host James May featured Lego on his other show 'James May's Toy Stories. He is now a proud owner of a house made out of 3 million "Eighter's", as he calls them. Lego also made it's appearance featured on two separate shows. NatGeo's Taboo, and, I believe, 'My Strange Addiction' on TLC, features a gent who lives his life outside of the real world, as a baby. Not my way of having an addiction or reason to build, but to each his own
  7. I used to do that, if it was too big for that, it'd go in the waist. I've even gone as far as having it delivered to my work! Now just to the house
  8. I don't buy Lego, just "car parts". Unless someone shakes the box, no attention is payed... Just got to make sure I get home first when the bank statement comes in though
  9. 7639 Container Car and Large Container 3677 Ballast Loader 8827 MFS 6 Mechanic Next, take advantage of double points!
  10. Over the past few years, upon returning to Lego, I've been trying to get my hands on 6339 Shuttle Launch Pad. After many lost bidding wars, high prices $70+ and just being a rarity on eBay, I finally got my hands on one! Of 7 bidders, I won it at $15.50. Not only was it cheap as h**l, it looks like it's brand new! The only downside was $14 buck for shipping and a lack of stickers. Still, a few orders on BL and I'll have all, but one, missing stickers, well under MSRP
  11. Picked up a new and a 2nd hand 4644 Marina for $30 a piece
  12. Very nice steamer ''Steinkopf'. I really like it's small size and color choice. Will you be adding carriages or other rolling stock?
  13. And why "midnight"? No good happens after dark Speaking off illegal activities, Remember 6563 Gator Landing? Those guys on the bayou also seemed to carry a lot of cash and briefcases, considering they only had a shack, 4x4, and fan boat. They also had a very similar color scheme to their vehicles
  14. You've been busy with another fine creation! These would make a great addition to the Heartlake Community. The wheels seem a bit small for the bulk of the van, but still gives it a good look. All around a great design
  15. Very nicely done 'gotoAndLego'. Alfas are they? These are great cars and you did a wonderful job capturing they're lines. I wanted one these the from the first time I saw it in Wayne's World 2. Keep up the great work
  16. Here is another topic regarding cracking minifig arms. Same topic with more answers. On a related subject, I've noticed a few cracks on new, white, 1x1 bricks. They've had zero play and have never seen the sun or felt harsh heat. I wasn't to happy Could a moderator merge these?
  17. I suppose it's all on how easy or neatly organized you want to make it, as well as, the quantity. For things like "cheese slopes" and "cheese graters, I keep mixed with 1x1 regular and round plates. When I first started sorting, they where what you referred to as "weird". They were a new piece to me and I had a very small surplus. As I became more familiar with Bricklink, I now have started slowly weening them to their own categories. The same idea of grouping similar parts (i.e. vehicle parts, technic, large size plates, etc) are still grouped accordingly. As, 'woolie' said above, BL has a pretty good system of sorting, though for finding individual parts, when need be, further subcategories come in handy
  18. I and I'm sure many, dislike them. They are very noisy pieces. Member, 'kyphur', a while back used them in a few ways. Starting with "Found a use for my hated flex track!", in a bridge MOC, and various other places on his awesome layout. I plan to level mine with plates and use them as a separate, inner city loop line for my, non-motorized, tram from 8404 Public Transportation
  19. I beat that, 6 episodes of South Park and a few extra commercials (3hrs and some change). It IS a great build, I enjoyed it more than the Green Grocier. Did that one over 3-4 days/ 1 hr a day... Got a bit boring frustrating. Anywho, Yesterday and today I picked up 3365 Space Moon Buggy, couple small BL orders and one, that would be my largest to date
  20. I saw this on Brickshelf the other night, it's really neat. I love the fold out feature and all the cargo space. I always liked the Ferrari sets, but they are a bit too big for my city. Very nice mod though
  21. Very nice engine 'solta'. You definitely got it's looks right; I too, love the color scheme. Keep up the great builds
  22. It's all good, I've had the same problem before... Even after entering a topic word-for-word and still coming up with nothing
  23. Awesome truck 'HP'. Very good job on it's likeness and a great pair with you front end loader. I'm glad you left the cabs white. Any plans to continue building construction vehicles in these color schemes to expand this firm?
  24. Neat car 'A_K'! Great syling, it looks straight out of the 60's. "lt' has a good idea about the using mags, but I think those have a good look to the car. Like a stock roadster vs. lightly modified. Keep up the great builds
  25. Sometimes it's best to use google search. Try typing something like "Eurobricks - Cleaning Lego". That will give better results for finding what you are looking for. In the meantime here are a list of past topics regarding this issue. Key thing to remember: Don't use BLEACH Miracle Breakthrough Cleaning Grimy Lego Bulk Buying - Smelly Lego or, the second post in this topic Cleaning Lego (Jan. 4) Cheers, LGB
