[JFAIR] Spitfire (WIP)
apemax replied to apemax's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I've already got it geared up quite a bit (First test I did the propeller flew off. ) and I'm just going to see what room I have as to anything else. Cool. Great idea. Well I'm working from a airfix model I have that I'm pretty sure is 1:72 and I'm going with 1cm (On the airfix model) equals 8 studs. Yep one amazing aeroplane. Well I'm going to try my best to get it sounding like a Spitfire... Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I can learn a thing or two from your Spitfire. By the way I remember seeing your Spitfire a while ago, Possibly one of the best LEGO Spitfires I've ever seen, Real nice work. Will also keep an eye out on your progress with your latest plane. Thanks. -
Hey all. This is the beginning of my latest LEGO project, A motorised Supermarine Spitfire. I'm going to try and pack as many functions into it as possible such as the rudder, elevator and ailerons all controlled from the cockpit, motorised engine (Also controlled from the cockpit) and working landing gear (Hopefully ). Here's my progress so far: As you can see I've done the very front section which also includes the engine. I still need to figure out how to attach the wings as well as how to do the landing gear. If anyone as any suggestions I'm all ears. I'll leave you with a few more pictures:

[LDD MOC] 71,000 piece, 13-foot Super Star Destroyer
apemax replied to Fox Hound's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow this is just incredible. Words cannot describe how amazing this is. Just used my tape measure to see how long 13 feet is. Holy Star Destroyers thats long. That wouldn't even fit in my room. If you do manage to build this with real bricks all I can say is good luck. -
Yay I won. Wasn't expecting that to be honest. Congrats to all the other winners and thanks to CopMike and every one else involved for doing this raffle. Merry Christmas everyone.

That looks really nice, Well done. -
Aircraft Past, Present and Future Hey all. This is my entry for the triple contest. First from the past a Spitfire. It has working landing gear, working ailerons, working rudder and working propeller. Next a B-2 Spirit from now. Lastly the future, as it hasn't happened yet I thought I'd design a futuristic aircraft so here it is. It has working landing gear and it is a VTOL aircraft so it has working thrust vectoring nozzles, two at the front and two at the back. Thats it, Hope you like it.

Thanks. Yeah it was never mean't to be a proper Trial Truck, Just of that similar design. This was more of a experiment than anything, hence all the diffs. There all the remotes I have, I just stuck them all together so I had the controls for all my motorised MOCs and LEGO sets all together. Thanks. Just fixed the link, Should work now.

Hey all. Been a while since I've posted a new LEGO MOC but I finally got round to taking some pictures (And a video) of my latest one. It has pendular suspension at the front but no suspension at the rear. It has working lights at the front and a working fake V12 engine mounted in the middle. It also has a two way gear box that either goes to the engine or to the back however it isn't actually connected to anything, now you see where the "Unfinished" part came from. As for the reason well I just ran out of pieces. It would have be cool to put my motorised railgun on there but I definitely don't have enough pieces for that. The front suspension is from here: http://sariel.pl/2009/01/mini-steered-suspension/ Couldn't have made it without that suspension design. Thank you Sariel. On to the pictures: And the video: And thats it, hope you like it.

Motorised Railgun
apemax replied to apemax's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No unfortunately it doesn't actually fire. Making it fire would be fairly difficult as I would need to make it in a larger scale to fit all the firing mechanisms in there and make it stronger too. Maybe one day... -
Hello all. Well I finally got round to taking some pictures of my latest Technic MOC, A motorised railgun. It was mostly inspired by the railgun on Metal Gear Rex from the MGS series. It uses a XL motor to turn left and right and a M motor to move up and down. It also has a couple of PF lights for the railgun barrel. I quite like the way the actual railgun looks but that's just me. Not much else to say about this one really, On with the pictures: And a video of it: And thats it, Hope you liked it.

Thats some great design right there. Wouldn't like to mess with this. Well done.

Interesting thread. I can't seem to find any pictures of my worst technic MOC (Maybe a good thing?) But here's probably second worst: One of my first attempts at suspension on a motorised MOC, It really didn't work very well.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks to CopMike for doing this raffle. Merry Christmas everyone.
