  1. Haha, no! Those are the symbol of his rulership over the Serpentine: green gem is for Venomari, blue for Hypnobrai, red for Fangpyre, yellow for Constrictai (lack of a better colour). I took inspiration from the Fangblade holder from the show.
  2. Look, man, I read your previous post (I'm sure other did, too), but honestly I think your plan isn't going to change anything. TLG does what TLG wants and when they want it. If they want to revive a theme at some point, they can. It doesn't even need to have new factions. There's a professional marketing team working there that determined exactly which tribes would be viable for a product release. We can be happy about what they released and try to hunt it down on the aftermarket for a reasonable price (shouldn't be too hard) and make tribute MOCs to please ourselves, nothing more. I did try to think of some cool animal tribes for you, but I came to the conclusion that they have really taken all the most famous and recognizable animals, particularly from the mammalia class. Moose or swine could still be an option, a few species of bird maybe, like parrots or penguins. Reptiles have more options left, insects too. Nothing from the sea was in Chima, so you can take that as a source of tribes.
  3. Beautiful work! Aside from the cosy house, the detailed irregular base takes the cake here! The large tree with the green leaves is also very nice.
  4. Wow, the rockwork and path are perfect! Your tree also looks very natural, once again. In the few lines, you've already got me hooked on your story. A necromancer who is an actual soul mage, now that is right up my alley! Nice referency to enchanted pie, by the way.
  5. No pirate, hmm. Does a buccaneer always classify as a pirate? Because anything even remotely similar to this would be awesome!
  6. Seems like we will see some cool old-school ninja in this movie.
  7. Not sure if it is allowed to share here, so I'll just describe what I see and leave a link. The September 2017 store calendar shows art style of Kai, Cole, Nya(?) and Wu. The Ninjago Movie ninja suits will have a quite a lot of black, with accents of their signature colours, as far as I can tell. Cole has a sleeveless gi. All of the ninja have a black hood, Cole's is decorated, Kai's has a red bandana, Nya's has a grey bandana. Wu is the same figure as the key chain. It seems like the ninja will have traditional basic weapons. Kai has two katana's, Nya has a spear (with a hook at the other end?), Cole has some kind of hammer, Wu has a good old fighting stick. http://www.imgrum.net/media/1403034947001793196_3571853670
  8. Damn, you were just too fast! More pirates, perhaps?
  9. Look for it on this page
  10. Very nice traditional and modest style.
  11. Well, there are a lot of kids that prefer playing games/apps over building with LEGO. For example: they like the NK app, but are not much into the sets (anymore), but they may have friends that are into NK, be it physical or virtual. If you want the Nexo Powers for gameplay and collection's sake only, then buying the sets is way to expensive and not efficient. The packs, on the other hand, are (like Pokémon cards back in the day) easy to buy with pocket money.
  12. How do you mean? Those shields are collectible and quite a few of them seem to be exclusive to the packs.
  13. Great Scott! Asking the real questions here! I just assumed it was the tiling underneath, but upon closer inspection, those have to be new parts for a monorail system. This set just got a whole lot more interesting!

  15. My guesses for this wave were: Glad to see a bucketload of new items/mobs in LEGO form in this wave! Some quick thoughts: Mushroom Island: Looks good for display, nice large mushrooms! Return of the Mooshroom Cow, with baby. I expect the compass to have a new print. Nether Railway: Fits in with the other Nether sets, a bit dull but decent parts. Magma Cubes! Ice Spikes: Uninspiring, shapings are off and should have had more transparent blocks. But, lavender pickaxe (enchanted iron) is pretty cool! Enchanting table, another banner and Snow Golem don't hurt either! Jungle Temple: Surprisingly complete, looks neat! Leather armour! Witch House: EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! The entire* Swamp Biome, squeezed in one set, amazing! Three(!) Slimes, a superb Witch, accurate hut, potions, lily pads; this set has it all! Secret Waterfall Escape: Uh... what? Anyway, a modern house for a change, alright. Not my style in-game, nor in-LEGO. I hope the value for money is mostly in the interior... So, still no Chickens, but as long as we will be seeing those eventually, I can forgive them this time, with all the new stuff this wave. *only missing pumkins, melons, Large Slime, clay.
  16. Finally found some time today to get building for the Guilds again! It's almost finished, hopefully I can photograph and upload it soon.
  17. Great build, multiple interesting things to see here! Really nice rockwork next to the waterfall and under the tower, you pulled off the arch shapes very nicely! That tree with the studs-out construction is great, too. Also a fan of the grass/vegetation texturing. Keep up the good work!
  18. Thank you, Leroy! I figured the dark green would go well with the military theme and also because those parts were often made with dyed leather, historically speaking. Well, "modding"... Samukai has four of his original parts and Pythor has one, so... I'd prefer "moccing" Thanks!
  19. Among the many, many small bikes that are released every year, I think this one from the polybag looks a bit better than average. Awakening Stone Colossus with the Forbidden Powers, huh? Sounds good! It reminds me of Exodia the Forbidden one from Yu-Gi-Oh: With that in mind, I can't really find a complementary relationship between the Forbidden Powers that we will see in the sets: First thing that comes to mind are the Seven Deadly Sins, with Gluttony being the middle one and Wrath being the first from right, but the others are all not so clear. Also, in the prelims, they looked more like runes, so most of these are disappointing to me. However, I do very much like the 'infinity snake' one, which comes in the not too expensive The Three Brothers set, so that's nice.
  20. Welcome, GURU! Great to see you are interested in Guilds of Historica! Regarding your first question: no, certainly not. I think buildings (houses, towers, temples, inns, etc) and landscapes (forests, deserts, swamps, mountains, etc) are common. For your second question: you are not restricted to building in your own guild area. If you want to build a lot, but your parts assortment is split between the Guilds, you can do freebuilds, which can be set anywhere in Historica. If you have any further questions, we'd gladly answer them!
  21. Some of you may remember Samurai Samukai, a MOC which I posted here back in June. I was planning to do a follow-up build in the same scale, with Pythor being a ninja (as the natural counterpart of the samurai). However, other projects kept me busy and then I lost motivation, so I shelved the project. To my surprise though, Samurai Samukai turned out to be one of my most popular MOCs of my display at Brickmania Antwerp, many kids enthusiastically told their parents that they knew him from Ninjago. And so, I decided to try an upscaled Pythor. Snake Emperor Pythor In the end, I've stuck more to the show than my original plan, but I'm fine with that. Green Samurai Samukai I swapped out the blue and updated Samurai Samukai with green parts that were introduced in the Ninjago summer wave. Side by side Thank you for looking! C&C very much appreciated!
  22. Awesome little build! Best feature in my opinion is the elevated and adjustable cabin, love that!
  23. It's always the same youtuber, though, so I guess he just has his connections.
