Well, me. Or at least I'm tempted to buy it for that very reason. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Exetrius replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
https://brickset.com/parts/6203918 This First LEGO League exclusive printed piece, among other things. I've been compiling lists of parts from latest and previous season, I'll report my findings if I have the time. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I'm not so sure about that: In other words: parts that they were planning to release eventually (after six months), will now be available right from the start. So perhaps that means anything that isn't available from the start, will never be available? -

Look at the shield: most of it is not grey.. it's metalized silver Also: the toolkit in pearl gold. -
Agreed. I even think the consolation prize may be worded a little bitterly; personally I think it would be an awesome reward for the hard work that has gotten into it. After all, we submit ideas as a hobby thing, and the process of getting to the 10.000 must still be one of the greatest praises you can achieve with building LEGO. One thing I wonder: will the whole 10K-but-rejected club from the past be rewarded as well?

There isn't any 2019 info on there, or am I mistaken?

I do see the decline, but searches for "lego" on the whole show a similar trend. While might be true that an increasingly harder media push is needed to maintain the level of popularity, we cannot rule out developments in the way of how the target audience uses other services to browse Ninjago stuff. But, I don't fear the target audience will lose interest in the near future, even if it may not be as evergreen as City.

Ninjago ninja gi's (the very first ones) in any colour I desire! Maybe this discussion should take place in a different thread, though..

Seems like I had gravely, gravely underestimated the potential future possibilities just from this experimental run... Dude, I'm mindblown!!

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Exetrius replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
So basically modular starships, right? I wonder if that could be designed so that the modules of the different sets fit together, without compromising on the variety of spacecrafts and the build experience. How do you envision interior spaces connecting to each other and what about obvious connection points on the exteriors when not in use? But it does sound good!- 991 replies

Ninjago is still very popular, no doubt! From personal experience: I see kids here in the stores run to the Ninjago section first and whenever you take a MOC to a convention that is just the slightest bit asian-ish or has ninja's, there's one thing they will all scream: Ninjago! To get a little more into actual numbers: have a look at how searches for "ninjago" measure up to "lego" and "lego star wars" in Google trends, worldwide:https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=2010-01-01 2018-06-20&q=ninjago,lego city, lego. At roughly any given time since 2011, the ratio for queries "lego" and "ninjago" has been 10:1 or lower. That should be a fair indication of the theme's popularity. Side note: play around for a bit to see how interest in various lego themes differs per country, interesting! I have to say I don't see much good coming from a reboot. Story reboot = immediate loss of loyal fanbase. And I'm still a bit upset by the style reboot that came forth from TLNM, I hope the figure designs will over time regain the serious, quite refined and realistic tone they had with the Elemental robes, Zukin, Deepstone and Hands of Time. As long as Ninjago stays a stable source of traditional/fantasy oriental parts and prints, some dragons and some temples, I'm totally fine with it.

@Digger of Bricks Oh yes, Aventador please! @vectormatic Great ideas, but the licencing would be challenging indeed. In general TLG has next to zero licences with Japanese companies, if that is any indication. Plus, how would they feel about licencing their cars, but heavily modified, would that work out? That said, I'd like to see a purple supra with massive spoiler/body kit tuning, neon lighting and nitro, in a shady garage box, Need for Speed style!

Next magazine comes with Clay in his 'special' suit (don't know the show context) and a very.. eh... interesting weapon: How on earth is he supposed to swing that thing?

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Exetrius replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Good, good! And yes, there must be mecha engineers by the thousands out there! By the way, I added two new occupations, but if anyone else can think of other exciting additions please share! Nope, it's a MOC I finished in May (and still haven't photographed properly, yet... ), this one: That doesn't mean I wouldn't try to make a mobile suit set somewhere along the way.- 991 replies

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)

Let me try to stir up a bit of conversation: if you were a space minifig, what profession would you like to have? Pilot Soldier Squadron Commander Fleet Captain Mechanic Miner Scout/Explorer Scientist Law Enforcer/Cop Engineer ... something else! It's fun to imagine what the world would be like to a minifig and it may help to get some fresh ideas. I think I would like to be an Explorer or Pilot: always on the move, discovering things as-you-go and enjoying the ride. I'm in the space mood right now, as I've started working on a new space Ideas project and recently built another mobile suit (which I still need to photograph).- 991 replies

@cebelicamya Fantastic work once again! Great to see all the stuff that you added! There are 264 variations, but essentially there are just 6 different moulds: https://goo.gl/images/oMwDFP I'd just add those, in black and white. Btw, I believe the new spider (nr 151 on the list) has been released in black as well.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Exetrius replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I don't think that's armour on the bird's head, just feather pattern details. Anyway, it's a great mould and I hope they'll be using it in more colours with more creatures. Good idea for the pegasi! Two new things I noticed from this set: the mole is also included and those large golden whips which are new. -
LDD 500+ surfaces of 300+ parts
Exetrius replied to Nachapon Bricks's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I'd like to apply a decoration to an ordinary 2x2 round brick and to a nexo shield: ^don't pay attention to the arms (it's a different brick), it's only to demonstrate where I'd like the printing to go. I looked in the file but I didn't see these parts. I've never meddled with decorations before, so any help would be appreciated! -
I do indeed hope that different themes are highlighted this time. The (presumed) space setting brings many (cameo) possibilities for the IP's that had a connection to space. Imagine Rock Raiders, LEGO Universe, Dimensions's Lord Vortech, BIONICLE and Galidor! I'm getting goosebumps! Any of these would be awesome if it did get a spot! Maybe Emmet could team up with a different, intergalactic crew to save the others? Absolutely!

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Exetrius replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, that's not cool! I suspect it will become available in a set at the end of the year then, why else would it already exists in digital form? Bad luck, man! -
If you're getting the biggest sets you'll basically get all of the different bad guys anyway. Maybe the Oni Titan? Three bad guys (counting the golem) that won't be repeats from your other planned purchases, sounds good?

I'm still not sure how licencing worked with the original LEGO movie, but maybe TLG just needed to release some pieces under its own theme (Ninjago) first, to avoid paying licencing fees.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Exetrius replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
In my honest opinion, I think this is pointless to discuss right now. As with most digital LEGO things, there's no guarantee that we will ever get it in that form or colour. -

I'm excited for that one too! Probably the printed eyes will be useful for other types of monsters. Ah, right. -
