We knew that like a week ago though. Shouldn't LEGO have known that we know?- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

I don't understand? Was The Dark Island Trilogy post taken down because it revealed it was a special, or because there were leaked pages? Also, I doubt it's a special like S1. There would be way too much disappointment that a full summer wave of sets were only used for 2 episodes. However, I could see this being like Rebooted with 6-8 episodes.- 4,591 replies

[REVIEW] 70590 Airjitzu Battle Grounds
gamejutzu replied to Exetrius's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The airjitzu versions of the ninja are not outsfits, and they aren't suits. They're meant to simulate what the ninja look like when they preform airjitzu. Also, Lloyd's face is indeed resembling his faces in other sets, like his original face, and he also makes that face in the TV show. Good review overall though, and I liked how you posed stuff as well. -
But it needs to be epic and amazing, since it has never happened before. Maybe a story pack?

Oh my god, no wonder they stayed so silent, that's BRILLIANT! And way better than my plot as well... I love how there's so much stuff going on too in what looks like the perfect finale, especially Cole's bit. Hopefully it's done right (if this is even the real plot)...- 4,591 replies

But the season is out in a month. At least that's what they said...

Actually, Lord Garmadon showed up in the Lighthouse Siege. The sets are out, and the new season hits in a month. Shouldn't we be getting a trailer? Only one more month left!

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

Maybe the statues don't have to do with plot. Maybe they just wanted to have some filler before the show and they did it like this. Maybe the Airjitzu Battle Grounds thing is just a coincidence. ... Okay yeah, probably not. But it just seems like such a one-dimensional "anniversary" plot. I only see it going like this for it to not be super predictable: The statues disappear from the museum, then the same villains that were in the exhibit are back and wreaking havok. Pythor shows up while another Pythor is causing havok, confirming to the ninja that the villains are just statues. Then Yang appears somewhere in the mix. Now the plot twist here, is that the villains were actually there the entire time, and they staged the whole statue thing. Or Yang reanimated the statues and the villains came back. Remember that in the end of Skybound, the Temple of Airjitzu is still floating around. On top of this, the sets depict minions, like the skulkins, nindroids, and stone army. Were tons of <- these enemies also in the museum? If not, then it is either a plot hole or the villains are really back. Some sort of time travel/time distortion may also be happening as well.- 4,591 replies

What they said, Deathstroke Was probably too violent for the show, when in the same show, there was a villain called "Brother Blood" I thought variants of minifigs weren't going to be a thing? That's interesting. Also, I wonder if maybe year 3 figs can have built-in variants, by holding the switch characters button? It would be a cool way to customize characters, and they could be unlockable.

Interesting, 25% off... Oh well, too bad I got mine off LEGO's Amazon for $200... :P

Retiring Ninjago sets
gamejutzu replied to brickmasterben11's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think the Airjitzu line will last for a little while longer after the Tournament of Elements sets retire. If you want to collect them though, you should soon. The Airjitzu sets did not do that well and not many more are coming. If you want to collect all the flyers though, I also recommend getting the Airjitzu Battle grounds, as there are flyers in that set. -
What is it about the Dojo Showdown set, that made it a "female" dojo? I've never seen genders be assigned to dojos.

....... I'd also like Shadow to be there somewhere. All the devs said was that Tails wasn't playable. They said nothing about other characters. So yeah, Shadow is definitely a possibility. And even better, he and Eggman can both be, in a team pack! The two characters would go well together anyway. Shadow would have his ATV, which would also be rebuilt into his bike, and then his jet from Transformed. Eggman would obviously have his Egg Mobile, then the Egg Mobile D (the original Egg Mobile actually used a drill before), then a super Egg Mobile.

Has it happened before? And besides, unless they make another Skyrate HQ set besides Misfortunes Keep, that specific outfit wouldn't be that realistically applicable in the sets she appeared in.
-
But people expect to see all-new figures in the collectible series. Those two figures you didn't receive were released in lots of other places. The collectible series would just focus on figures from the movie in different outfits and side characters. The collectible series never features actual outfits that the characters wear for a long time. The same would go for ninja outfits. Another thing to keep in mind is that the movie versions of the ninja are not going to be the same as in the TV show and sets. The DX suits probably don't exist in their world.

Umm, that one person who posted that picture of the receipts with the names of supposed figures to be in Lego Dimensions, how come no one is discussing that? Are the interesting names like Kylo Ren and LOZ just other products?

The poly bag version looks a bit more damaged and worn out. Could this version of Cyren be from when she was trapped in another realm? It would explain why she lost the armor and has an imperfect Skyrate logo painted on.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I found something interesting a while ago. I was scrolling around Youtube, and i saw a thumbnail that looked kind of weird, and I thought it was an image of the new season. Sadly it wasn't. It was actually the second episode of the Tournament of Elements season. But around 15 seconds in, I realized why I thought the thumbnail looked weird. I saw that their hair was actually reversed. Someone on the design team actually put in work to reverse every character's hair. Kai and Cole's hair looked better originally, but Jay's hair actually looked better reversed. And not only that, the outfits are reversed too! And all of them honestly looked very interesting. Kai's emblem was to the left, and so was Cole's dragon. Most interesting of all was Jay's, as his armor being on the left actually looked very interesting, and might I say even better. Another favorite for me is Garmadon. His entire gi is swapped and it actually goes to the left, which looks very nice. The faces were swapped too, so Jay's eyebrow slash is to the left now, and so is Kai's. Oh, and sorry if this post looks weirdly spaced, I'm on mobile.- 4,591 replies

This game may be trying to go for a "completely Lego" feel. They may be going through the same situation big figs are. Maybe they'd just feel awkward on the toy pad, as they tower over other figures. They'd also be off scale in game. This may be just my opinion, but the only minidolls that would actually be applicable in Lego Dimensions would be the ones from the Lego Elves line. As the Friends line doesn't really have the same... reason for fighting... Or fighting... Same could be said for Scooby Doo and the likes, but combat and danger incentives are there. Same as Elves. Friends? I dunno. And there are now official minifigures for Cinderella and Ariel. Why use the minidoll variants? The minifigs would feel more natural in the game.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

How do you know they're non-canon? Because all the other graphic novels were? I genuinely thought it was going to be a book with words this entire time... It's just the graphic novels, but the story spans more than one issue this time... _ Could it be, that the desert setting we keep seeing in trailers and box art, is actually the Dark Island? And the ninja are just riding around in vehicles Nya built for them once more? And dark matter, which is found on the Dark Island, revived the previous villains?- 4,591 replies

I'd personally rather get a sneak peek. But that may be because I don't like to get spoiled on locations and such. I may even unknowingly see a few seconds of the last episode... And that a teaser trailer... Is just that. The plot isn't that complex this time around, so a trailer would only be interesting if it showed off outfits and areas. And even if you're interested in the plot, instead of the narrator saying strange lines like "be careful what you wish for" , a sneak peek could do the job of a teaser, in a way. No real reason for typing all that... But I do want another sneak peek. I'd just rather see 1 minute of a full sequence, rather than 1 minute of stuff flashing by.

It could be Nelson... Honestly, it would either be Nya, or the main character of the Ninjago Movie, maybe with different box art per set, like Chima.
-
Didn't we see the Possession concept art at SDCC? Or was it somewhere else? LEGO might be showing off sets and the like, but Ninjago's a TV show. It could have it's own place and area.
